Never in a million years would I have thought that my lifelong hobby could eventually become my career. I focused on my future, working my way through college and grad school to achieve my license to practice, but a part of me realized that I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to go on adventures and meet a lot of new people. “It was a true pleasure to have Randall and his staff a part of our wedding vendor team. He is a true professional and master at his craft. My wife and I were very particular in choosing our wedding photographer. We knew that our wedding photos were going to last forever and wanted to be sure that the photographer we choose was going to capture all of the essential moments. Every photographer has their own style when it comes to editing the photos and Randall’s was exactly what we were looking for. After we wrapped up our initial consultation call, my wife and I knew that he was the photographer we wanted. He was easy to communicate with and we felt very comfortable with him as if we had know each other for years. He built us a personalized package that accommodated all of our specific needs. Leading up to our special day, he made sure to check in on us multiple times and made sure we never had to worry about a thing. “We found Lulan Studios about nine months before our wedding day. We were immediately drawn in by their professionalism and their reputation. Lulan is an inclusive photographer who was very receptive to our wedding vision. He and his team were incredibly kind, supportive, and helpful all throughout the process. We elected to go with Lulan Wang himself for our photographer who worked with an associate. After our initial consultation we were turned over to Shannon who was our go to contact for day to day clarifications and vendor contact until Lulan took over just before the wedding. Shannon was immensely resourceful and responsive. She communicated with our coordinator very efficiently and was always on top of our booking. We are very grateful to her as well for making the process so easy and for continuing that communication after the fact. On the day, Lulan and his associate were spectacular. It was clear his associate had more than enough talent for the job just like Lulan, but they divided and concurred by using two different types of cameras for different types of shots. We regret not doing an engagement session with them, but we will likely return for an Anniversary session in the future. We didn’t even need one though, because he is skilled enough that he understood us as a couple immediately. They made us feel comfortable and confident. They hyped us up and moved through the shot list masterfully. Nothing was missed and we captured far more than we expected. Please look through our attached photos as they speak for themselves. One of the most exciting moments was when Lulan handed us a little blue book filled with about fifteen physically printed preview photos DURING THE RECEPTION. A lovely surprise that absolutely shocked me. Turnover was 4-6 weeks and we got ours just before the six week mark right on schedule. We were floored. They are jaw-dropping. We ultimately got 950 photos permanently digitally available for high resolution download and access to a shop with impressive options for prints and albums of a wide array of types and sizes. I’m thrilled to show them to you here and implore you to consider booking Lulan Studios. We trusted in their ability from the beginning and we were not disappointed. They are among if not the absolute best in the business.”

“We were nervous when it came to hiring a photographer, because after the whirlwind of the day, photos are one of the only things you get to keep once the day is over that help you relive the moments. We had heard so many horror stories and knew it was one of the most important decisions we were going to make. But thankfully, hiring Mysi was truly one of the BEST DECISIONS we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, she was intentional, thoughtful, and so easy to work with. She made it a priority to meet with us in person—not just to talk logistics, but to get a feel for how we interact with each other. She wanted to understand our dynamic so she could best capture authentic, candid moments on the day. That personal touch meant a lot to us. She even took the time to drive up to our venue (a private residence) in advance to scout out the space. We didn’t want just traditional posed photos; we wanted a mix of candid, artistic, and emotionally rich shots that told the full story of the day. She completely delivered. The final gallery was more beautiful than we could’ve imagined—natural, warm, and full of moments we didn’t even realize she had caught. We showed a few of the preview photos to people who didn't attend the wedding, and they all had nothing but compliments for how stunning the photos were. It's only been a few months, but we can't stop looking at the photos. They bring us back to the exact moment in time they were taken and we are able to relive the memories. Our pre-wedding meeting went well, she asked a lot of questions about us as a couple and about what we wanted from our wedding photos, which we really liked because it gave us an idea about what our wedding day photography would be like, but also it showed that she is detail oriented. On the day of, she made my family as well as us really comfortable. Posing for photos can be very awkward, but she kept the mood light and made us laugh a lot which made for some really great, natural pictures. We took our couple photos at Pasadena City Hall on what must have been prom day for several high schools because the place was packed, but she managed to get us some really great, intimate shots away from other people taking photos. My husband and I knew we wanted to book Carmen early on in our wedding planning process - in fact, she was the first vendor we booked. After we picked a venue, we worked with Carmen's schedule since we knew 1000% that we wanted to have her document our big day. From the beginning Carmen was super friendly and communicative with quick responses throughout the week (usually on weekends she is likely at a wedding). She was also very organized and had questionnaires to help us get to know each other better on a more personal level so we wouldn't feel like strangers on the big day. We went with one of her packages which included an engagement session (which was super fun and matched what we were envisioning - a "naturey" theme with mountains/hills in the background), a second shooter (who was super amazing!), an heirloom album (which we are currently working with her on), and more! The engagement session was extremely helpful for us because we were slightly nervous before the shoot, but the more time we spent with her, the more relaxed and at ease we felt (which is saying a lot because my husband and I are both introverts). We liked that Carmen could help us naturally pose and that her editing style was not too overly edited but allowed the natural beauty in each shot to shine. We also really appreciated Carmen's flexibility - my husband and I are both healthcare workers who have varying schedules and sometimes work weekends, but she was able to still plan our engagement session and our Zoom calls around our busy schedules. After the big day, when we look back on our wedding day, one thing that really stood out was how many of our guests were amazed with Carmen and her second shooter; the small details Carmen noticed made a lasting impression on a lot of our family members such as when Carmen and her second shooter would hold onto our guests' purses or sunglasses and make sure everyone looked essentially before taking photos. My mother-in-law couldn't stop raving about Carmen and how attentive she was to each guest. We also enjoyed all the photos of the wedding venue, each of our guests, and small moments and details that my husband and I might not have noticed since we were all over the place on the day of our wedding. At the end of the day, while all the food and drinks have been consumed, the music has been played, and the decorations and flowers have been set up and taken down, the only thing we have to reminisce on is the photography and documentation of our special day, and that's why we trusted Carmen to be our wedding photographer and would recommend her a thousand percent to all our friends and family.”

“From the start Stephen Tang was extremely professional, I found him on Yelp and checked out his work on Instagram. He was extremely prompt in replying when I reached out to him, provided additional samples of his work, and made himself available to discuss the types of shots we wanted beforehand as well as provide his expertise and guidance in framing beautiful photos. After my initial phone meeting with Stephen I knew he would be the perfect fit for our needs and my husband and I are extremely happy with the quality and caliber of his work. We had several phone meetings to discuss our needs, schedule for the day and to help Stephen understand us as a couple. On the day of our event he arrived before the allotted time, he arranged and set up the entire room, and added lighting and equipment before we arrived. Upon our arrival, he was cordial in greeting us, understand what we wanted and needed and did a temperature check. He made suggestions about where we should place things throughout the room to improve the shots. He was very knowledgeable with how and where we should pose for the perfect shot. He made us feel extremely relaxed even during the most stressful situations and helped to redirect family members to someone other than us to handle some hiccups for the night. Stephen was extremely patient, polite and listened to what we wanted and read what we needed. He gave helpful suggestions which shows his expertise and experience. He was a calming force for the night and did an amazing job making our mediocre venue look AMAZING. The photos he delivered were absolutely breathtaking and he was able to turn our average venue into fairytale-like photos. The candid shots he took throughout the night came out beautifully and allowed us to see our event from different perspectives that we otherwise would have missed. Stephen is personable, knowledgeable and professional, he’s able to frame the shots, be respectful and understand the needs of his clients. “We discovered Gui on Zola and reached out because of his experience with photographing marriages for various cultures and from various backgrounds. Gui's photographs also caught our eye as there were great candid shots to capture the moment and sweet posed ones. When we met with Gui over zoom to get to know each other, he was kind, responsive, and knowledgable. Gui helped put us at ease, and it was a fairly quick decision to go with him after we met. We did an engagement photo session with Gui. He was very flexible when the park we wanted to do the session at was closed. We were able to pivot, and Gui took incredible photos in the new location. Gui also did not pressure us always asking if we were okay with the poses, but adjusting us for better shots. We were so happy with the engagement photos. On the day of the wedding, Gui was prompt and punctual. We took a few shots before the ceremony. During the ceremony, Gui captured all the key moments, but we also received compliments from our guests that he did not distract or take away from teh ceremony. Gui did great with the family photos and was very gracious in the many photos with friends during the reception. We cannot recommend Gui enough. His demeanor helped to relieve any stress around the photos both during the engagement session and the wedding. Gui's experience with many different couples has helped him develop cultural sensitivity which he uses to capture and highlight the unique moments of their ceremony. “Dereck is an incredible photographer and provides very personable, professional, and timely services. I was pleasantly surprised he agreed to drive far and meet us in person before I confirmed for him to my photographer at my wedding. When we met, my husband and I felt very at ease with him as he was patient, professional, and kind. The payment process was very smooth and easy and he was clear about what would be included in the package. Dereck spent time to reach out and collaborate with me before the wedding to discuss expectations and timeline, so it calmed my nerves that he was organized during this stressful planning process. On the actual wedding day, Dereck had injured his ankle, but was clearly hustling despite his pain/injury and walking around the spacious venue to get not only get shots of my dress and personal items, but also running back and forth between bride/groom’s rooms to capture the intimate moments before the ceremony. He was committed and willing to explore the entire venue to capture photos in different locations to offer various background in our photos, which we appreciated. My husband and I are camera shy, but Dereck was very skilled in directing us in what kind of poses work best. Throughout dinner, he captured photos of all our friends/family table-by-table before taking his own meal break. Dereck provided the final photo and video product in a very timely manner and was much quicker than what I had heard from my other friends’ experiences (they said they had waited 6 months for any photos), but I only waited 6 weeks, which is completely reasonable. There was an issue with delivering the final USB, but Dereck was so dedicated he was willing to drive, once again, very far distances to drop it off at our home. After reviewing the final photos and videos, we are more than satisfied with the final product. He delivered exactly what I had asked for regarding a more dramatic effect in the teaser videos and audio vs. solely music over the highlight video. My husband and I had a super fun time laughing on our couch going through all the photos, watching all the clips, reliving the best night of our lives, and being able to watch our friends enjoy our wedding. Dereck provided numerous very well-edited photos that either fixed the lighting or captured different focuses and provided so many videos, which we truly enjoyed. I would highly recommend Dereck’s services!”

“We vetted quite a few wedding photographers before deciding on Jordan. We were really impressed from day one. He worked with us on customizing our package to meet what we desired as far as style of pictures, time frame, etc. He was punctual at all our checkpoints and early to the venue. He hadn’t been to our venue before and what was impressive was he did some recon work to get a better vision on where to do a significant portion of our portrait shoot prior to the wedding. The day was seamless, it would’ve been even more perfect if the wind and weather cooperated but he and his second photographer worked through it.”
