“We rented flowers through Something Borrowed Blooms and went with the Jane collection. Flowers were lower on our tier of priorities, so this worked well for us. It was easy to book, rent, and send them back. The one downside was that they changed what the collection looked like between when I booked the flowers and when I received them, and there was no option to go back to the original. They changed the bridesmaids’ flowers to be more floral, when I chose the Jane collection due to the greenery. As flowers weren’t specifically important to me, this wasn’t that big of a deal, but it didn’t feel great to not be able to get what we originally wanted and paid for. After reaching out to them about this issue, we did get a 50% discount on the bridesmaid flowers.”

“Cassidy put together the florals for our wedding this weekend. We ordered arbor flowers that Cassidy recycled to our cake and sweetheart table. Unfortunately the wind during the first half of our reception was a little WILD so my current photos of that aren’t able to do it justice until my photos come in. However, I have some photos of the flowers before I sent them off for preservation as well. We also used Cassidy for rentals of pillar candles and bud vases. She assembled those and had welcome table greens for us, my bouquet, and my husband’s boutonniere. I was constantly adding things to the list like some spray flowers for my photographers for my flat lays. But she managed it. Cassidy attended our walk through to make sure that she saw the property and knew where our flowers would be doing. She provided some inspiration photos based on what I wanted and she delivered on that for sure! I think the centerpieces in particular were EXACTLY what I was looking for. She really nailed those and they turned out beautifully. When we didn’t know what we wanted or struggled to get a good vision going, she made some suggestions and went through the pros and cons with me of options. “I have never been the type who understood flowers. I knew they were pretty, but I never truly knew what I loved and what I didn't. In comes Shelley with her beautiful and creative mind. I told her my theme was purple and grey with a little fairy tale, whimsical type feel to it. I knew I wanted my bouquet to be just a little bit bigger than my bridesmaids. It was so early in the planning phase that I wasn't fully sure exactly what structures would be available for the actual arrangement, but I gave her a picture of what the vision one (an arch with flowers on it) would look like. During the planning phase, I ran into some hiccups when determining what frames/arches to use during the ceremony. After many, many emails with Shelley (which, thank you so much for your patience, as I know exactly how hard it is to work with someone who doesn't even know what they want), I finally settled on a gold arch with the flowers decorating the bottom and a drape in the middle, and I was in LOVE. Shelley also helped so much in terms of the logistics, such as reusing bridesmaid bouquets for centerpieces at the reception, reusing the flower arch decor for the sweetheart table, adding greenery to the dessert and appetizer tables, to welcome tables, etc. Overall, a wonderful person to work with, with lots of patience and a beautifully creative mind.”

“The flowers were perfect, but my favorite thing about Karla is that I told her my budget and she stayed within it! She put together an inspiration board of my vision, and her finished product looked just like what we had planned. Somehow she was able to deliver personal flowers (bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, flower girl basket & petals, and even added an adorable headband for the flower girl), a gorgeous arch for the ceremony, and a very romantic tablescape of candles & bud vases- all for a very reasonable cost. During the planning it was faster to get in touch with her over text rather than email. On the day of the wedding there were no problems with the drop off and setup, and she also collected the bud vases which helped immensely to decrease the cleanup effort. Karla was very flexible with me incorporating some of my own DIY into the decoration, where some other florists might have had an issue with it. The whole day went smoothly, and the flowers were truly so beautiful and contributed to the happy springtime mood of the wedding. I would absolutely work with Karla again.”

Once we placed our final order, Jen was communicative and thorough about the process of what happened next in terms of pickup, payment, etc. When we picked up our flowers, we were ASTOUNDED by how beautiful they were. I mean, we knew they would be beautiful, but truly, WOW. Aside from bouquets & boutonnieres, we also got garlands to use as centerpieces for our guests’ farmhouse tables, as well as small wooden circle magnets with a flower on top (we wood burned the j c into them ourselves) to use as favors. And they all looked incredible. An employee at our venue said that our decor was “the best she’s ever seen this place look,” and a large part of our decor was these flowers. “TL;DR - Lisa and her team did a fabulous job with our wedding florals, and was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was responsive, proactive in planning, and offers stunning design for very fair price points. We and our guests loved what she created. I highly recommend her! We were introduced to Lisa through our planner. The first call helped us understand how she works, what’s typical for wedding floral vendors, and what kinds of packages she offers. Lisa’s warm, a good listener, and even in the first call exudes expertise and style. Immediately confident she could do the job well. I love how she structured her proposals—she gave us an easy slide deck with colors, sample florals and greenery, vessel options, altar shapes, and other design details. It’s informative without being overwhelming, and helped us make decisions we loved. As an LGBTQ couple, it was also lovely to work with a vendor who understood how some details may be different & help us with ideas for what was unfamiliar to us. Lastly, on wedding day, Lisa and her team move quickly and almost invisibly. “The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!”
