“We used the Tree Top Room. A little under 100 guests. The outdoor ceremony space is beautiful. It’s deceiving because we were wondering how our guests would fit but it was more than enough. It’s also shaded which was perfect for a hot day. Wedding packages are very inclusive and don’t leave a lot for you to worry about. We went with the Ruby package which included 4 passed apps, a cheese and fruit display, champagne toast, salad course, choice of 3 entrees, wedding cake allowance and center pieces for the reception tables(sweet heart table was an extra fee but was reasonable). We added a late night snack station as well. We worked with Janet and had a Day of coordinator, banquet captain and a bridal attendant. The entire staff were absolutely amazing. We got so many compliments from our guests about how smoothly everything went, how beautiful the venue was and how delicious the food was. If you are looking for an all inclusive place that will literally do everything and take away any chance of stress.. I cannot recommend them enough!! They really know what they are doing!”

“My husband and I got married at the Hilton in Woburn on 6/8/24. Anyone that knows me, knows I stress about everything like there is no tomorrow. The Hilton put all my worries at ease. I did have a few different wedding coordinators throughout the process but they all were very helpful and communicated well with one another when switching to a different coordinator. Ruth and Kari- the best of the best! Responded quickly if I had any questions or concerns. We had our ceremony and reception at the Hilton. Kari and Alli (director of banquets)- words cannot even express how grateful I felt having both of them help with the ceremony entrances as we had an odd amount of people in the wedding party. Kari and Alli were both there the day of our wedding and made sure everything was set up the way I envisioned it. Ruth, Kari, and Alli, thank you all so much for making my wedding day the best, most memorable day, of my life!”

“I highly recommend Four Points Wakefield for wedding room blocks and events! Almost all of my wedding guests (plus me and my husband) stayed here for my wedding weekend, and I hosted my after party and farewell brunch here. I coordinated the room block and events through Katie, who was an absolute delight to work with - she was very communicative and went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. She even put together a slideshow of me and my husband to welcome guests to the hotel, which was a huge hit! The staff at Four Points Wakefield also were extremely professional, friendly, and on top of the events - they helped put out the food for the after party, which we hosted in the hotel bar, and set up a lovely brunch for our guests after the wedding. Both events went so smoothly due to the staff! Lastly, the suite we stayed in was a perfect place for bridesmaids to get ready in. Overall, I was so impressed with Four Points Wakefield’s service!!”

“We hosted our wedding at Olio in early August and simply had the best experience. From the moment we met Sarah on our tour, I felt like we were in good hands with the space and every single person who worked there and/or was associated with it. The building felt both modern and historic, and we loved the surprise of the lofted ceilings and twinkling lights once we stepped up the stairs. Olio was an great size for our 90 person event, and Sarah (and her team at Without a Hitch) helped us plan exactly the wedding we wanted, which included large rented palm trees, arcade games, a Richie's Slush cart with umbrella, even a surprise visit from Santa Claus...at Olio it all worked out. Folks say it a lot, but it was truly a blank canvas and our Olio wedding was perfectly personalized for us. The space was spotless, had great parking and directions for guests and vendors, and made for epic photos. Highly recommend this memorable venue (and the incredible professionals behind it).”

“Arts at the Armory delivered on the wedding of our dreams! We knew when we started planning that we didn't want a cookie cutter wedding. We wanted a venue that would celebrate our vision and work with us to bring a little magic to life. And WOW did they ever! We felt great supporting the local art community in Somerville and truly felt that sense of community the whole way through. The Armory team championed our ideas and supported all of our unique touches. When there were limitations, they offered creative solutions that made our day so special. For example, Flora, the bar manager, helped us work within their bar license limitations to create elegant and elevated Prosecco cocktails that our guests loved. The space itself is really remarkable even as a blank canvas. Once their team stepped in with the lighting and sound design, my jaw dropped. Stepping into the space once it was transformed into our dream venue brought me to tears. I know our wedding was completely unique because of all the special attention the entire Armory staff offered us. Special shout out to Kim, their production manager, who really helped me see through each little detail to bring it all to life. If you are looking for a venue who will let you be who you are AND offer meaningful expertise along the way, stop looking now and just book the Armory.”

“A Dream Wedding at Margeaux Supper Parlor We hosted our engagement party turned wedding at Margeaux Supper Parlor, and it was pure magic. From the moment we stepped inside, we were blown away by the beauty of the space - especially the bar, which created the most stunning backdrop for photos we’ll cherish forever. Rebekah, the owner, and her incredible team thought of everything. From a custom, dairy-free menu (which was so important to me) to specialty passed cocktails and thoughtful service throughout, not a single detail was missed. The private oasis room was the perfect retreat for a quiet moment together during the celebration and added such a personal touch to the evening. And yes, we even sabered champagne! “I attended a wedding vow renewal at/in Black Craft Salem's haunt. We all walked down the "aisle" which was the actual haunt. We followed the "bride and groom" throughout the haunt to the very end where the actual ceremony took place. There were beautiful glowing candles everywhere and the lighting was perfect. The BCS crew was very nice and made us all feel welcomed. I have NEVER been to a ceremony as thrilling, fun and terrifyingly beautiful as this one. I could not get over the atmosphere it was McCabe and, exciting and eerie at the same time.... I felt like I was on a movie set. . EVERYONE who loves Halloween, horror and haunts in general needs to have every type of ceremony in this venue - NOT just weddings and vow renewals. BORAH! was the officiant and was the funniest thing ever, she roasted the couple and made us laugh so hard we neven shed a few tears. Thank you BCS for hosting such a remarkable space for this ceremony. I will be booking my wedding at Black Craft if I ever decide to tie the knot.”

Beverly, MA
  • Up to 250 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $17,000

Originally designed in 1880, Moraine Farm has been hailed as "the finest existing example of Frederick Law Olmsted's approach to planning a country estate" by pre-eminent Olmsted scholar Charles E. Beveridge. Olmsted created lawns, hedges, rustic stone walls, and a magnificent meadow – and collaborated with Boston architects Peabody and Stearns to design a massive stone terrace facing the lake, extending the shingle-and-stone house into the landscape. The farm took its name from a low ridge of glacial debris, called a moraine, which Olmsted used to provide an elevated vantage point for the paths and carriage drives that looped through 75 acres of coniferous forest, passed lake and meadow views, and climbed to an overlook on the edge of the 40-acre farm.

“We just had our perfect wedding at Moraine Farm and it could not have been more perfect. I wish I could go back and re-live it over and over again! The coordinator, Laura, was awesome and all our guests are still talking about how beautiful of a venue it was. The incredible food was also a huge plus :) We will forever look back at our wedding and smile. Huge thank you to everyone at Moraine and Fireside Catering that pitched in to help out on our day!”

“We had a room block here for our wedding in Beverly, and hosted a brunch the day after (you have to have a catered event at the hotel in order to have a room block). Overall, our experience was pretty good. The hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms were beautiful. The King Suite was great to get ready in - I had 11 people getting hair and makeup done, with 4 artists, and there was enough space. Having the Regatta Pub on site was perfect for a welcome event and post-wedding spot and could easily accommodate a large influx of people. The brunch was ready to go with plenty of tasty food and drink. They also were able to hand out welcome bags when guests checked in. Kristen, who organized the room block, was extremely communicative and responsive to our emails, and helped us add rooms to our block a couple times. We are rating 4/5 stars for a couple reasons. First is that housekeeping never came to the suite to clean after we had left for the wedding, so we returned at the end of the night to all of the room-service coffee/breakfast items that had arrived at 8:30 that morning. When we called the front desk, no one answered. Secondly, while the brunch was great, they do charge a large room fee and administrative fee.”

“We celebrated an intimate wedding with 15 family members (14 adults and a baby) at Harvest in their Fireplace room. The day was absolute perfection- the room was spacious yet cozy on a frigid 10 degree day, the service was phenomenal, and the food was spectacular. We were a difficult group to feed; nearly every guest had a unique dietary restriction and Harvest ensured that each guest would remain safe and happy while dining. We will forever cherish this special celebration and look forward to dining at Harvest in the future!”

“We loved having our wedding at Alden & Harlow! Our guests are still raving about it and we're still not over how perfect it was. The food is impeccable. Despite serving a huge crowd, the food was as delicious (if not even better?!) as it always is. People are still texting us to tell us they're thinking about our wedding food, which is rare! Just be prepared - if you're doing family style, the pacing is a bit slow. We had 6 family style plates and they came out two at a time over the course of an hour. We had no complaints, just something to consider for your timeline! The staff was super accommodating, friendly, and helpful on the day of our wedding. They set up all of our decor/signage in record time and pulled the space together beautifully. We could tell they were so excited to be hosting a wedding, and they made us feel so special! The bartenders were a hit and the servers were a blast. Despite having a slightly odd shape (the seating in the greenhouse space is separated from the dining room by the long bar), the space is perfect for a wedding. We sat 122 guests comfortably, and still had the entire dance floor space free all night. The dining room is big enough to fit a full dance floor, but small enough that everyone is dancing close together, which was exactly what we wanted! Also worth noting we did our first look upstairs at Longfellow bar before they opened and the space and team was wonderful there, too. The photos turned out amazing. My only word of caution is to keep in mind that this is not a traditional wedding venue. Since they don't do a ton of weddings here, it's not as simple of a process as it might be at other venues. We had to do some of the leg work to figure out the seating chart, the timeline, and the menus, and sometimes we'd go a few months without hearing back from the team there. This was all totally fine for us, but it might not be everyones cup of tea. Some of the more unique elements of the wedding actually turned out to be our favorites: we sat at the bar with a bunch of our friends for dinner, almost everyone had to stand for the ceremony, and the people seated in the greenhouse stood on the dance floor for speeches/first dances since they wouldn't be able to see/hear from their seats. These all made the whole night feel so casual and fun and intimate, which was exactly what we wanted. Overall, we absolutely ADORED the team at Alden and genuinely couldn't be more grateful to them for helping us throw the best party of our lives. I can't imagine getting married anywhere else!!! The food, drinks, atmosphere, and team are all 1000/10. If you're open to getting creative and putting in a little work to throw an iconic city wedding, then you should ABSOLUTELY get married here!!”

Cambridge Boat Club
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
CAMBRIDGE, MA
  • Up to 120 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $4,000

Cambridge Boat Club is a social and rowing club, located on the banks of the Charles River overlooking Eliot Bridge. Originally built in 1909, CBC was picked up in its entirety and rolled upstream to its current location in 1947, to make room for the building of Memorial Drive. Featuring vaulted ceilings and dark exposed beams akin to a ski chalet, and double french doors opening to a full length veranda, CBC offers a unique, rustic setting for any event.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Multiple event spaces
  • Raw space for complete customization
  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away

Venue considerations

  • Does not allow pets
  • No on-site guest accommodations
  • Couple must handle cleanup and setup
“The Cambridge Boat Club was the perfect choice for our New England fall-themed wedding! It is an absolutely gorgeous location on the river with just the right amount of historic charm. We had originally considered going with all-inclusive venues, but ultimately opted for the flexibility we had with the CBC to craft our own vision. The venue features two distinct rooms, a larger room called the Drinkwater room, which can be used for the wedding dinner, the Club Room, which was used for cocktail hour and the dance floor, and a porch, which has a stunning view. The layout perfectly accommodated both the party enthusiasts and our more introverted guests, who preferred quieter spaces for rest and socialization away from the dance floor. Opting for this venue requires a more DIY approach compared to all-inclusive options. Since it is a historic building, there are some restrictions to be aware of, e.g. no sparklers or ceiling drapery, and existing wall decor generally need to stay on the wall. This was no issue for us since we had a clear vision for the wedding theme and decor, and enlisted the help of Tastings Catering (highly recommend, since they have previous experience working in this space and also handle some of the decor) and Designlight. Major shoutout to Katie Donnelly, the club manager at Cambridge Boat Club, who always responded in record time to all our inquiries and provided helpful guidance. With everyone's help, we were able to create the wedding of our dreams!”

“We had such a fantastic time hosting our wedding at the Multicultural Arts Center! We absolutely fell in love with it when we went for a tour, and the wedding day couldn't have been better. Taylor and the other venue staff were so helpful throughout the planning process and answered about a million questions for us. We had the wedding ceremony in the courtyard, cocktail hour in the art gallery, and dinner and dancing in the ballroom, and each space was so beautiful. It was wonderful to be able to show our guests a historic part of Cambridge and support a local arts nonprofit for our big day.”

“Our daughter just celebrated her wedding this past weekend at the Kimpton Marlowe, and I can't imagine a more perfect experience! We visited quite a few venues that we loved, but once we found KM and Rachel, we knew we had found our place. I'm not sure where to begin! The planning process was never stressful thanks to Rachel's patience, professionalism and organizational skills. Our daughter lives out of state, and I can only imagine the insane amount of emails that flew back and forth between her and Rachel! She kept us all calm, and we were always confident that the day would be perfect because of her extraordinary efforts. The venue itself has everything a bridal party could want. It's in an accessible location for out of state visitors to explore Boston and Cambridge. The staff are all warm, friendly and eager to help with anything. The price is very reasonable; we had ruled out Boston/Cambridge because of our budget, but KM turned out to be right on target. There is convenient parking on site. We were offered a block of rooms in the hotel for an amazingly good price, so that our guests didn't have to worry about driving after a big party! The food was exceptional, from appetizers to dinner and even late night snacks of pizza, cookies and milk! The reception room was gorgeous and is very easy to work with because of the neutral colors. I think one of our favorite parts was that we had the entire second floor of the hotel to ourselves! The ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and even a room for the bride to retreat when she needed to change was all included. The younger guests danced until the very end, and the "older" parents and guests found a quiet spot to hang out in the lobby area outside of the reception hall, filled with comfortable sofas, chairs and tables. All who attended were happy with the many choices to party, relax and mingle. In my opinion, KM and Rachel are a still a hidden gem in the greater Boston area. I hope this review helps to get the word out that they are the place to go if you are looking for an affordable option with fabulous spaces, delicious food and most of all, an event planner who puts her heart and soul into everything she does. Thank you, KM and Rachel! 3”
