I've had a camera in my hand since I was at least ten years old. Photography has always been something I've been passionate about. I was the friend that captured all the memories in high school. Once I got older, and more interested in this becoming something real, I decided to start my business in 2018. I've had the pleasure of working with the most loving clients ever since.

A quick background about me, I am a born and raised Maryland girl. I am married to the love of my life, we have two beautiful daughters and two sweet pups! I’m a professionally trained photographer and a graduate of a professional photography program. I spent 10 years as a photojournalist covering news, sports, and political campaigns, learning to anticipate moments, stay calm under pressure, work fast in changing light, and capture real emotion without being obtrusive. That documentary foundation is what I bring to weddings. For 25 years, I’ve photographed weddings as a wedding photojournalist, focused on authentic moments, real interactions, and the in-between details. For portraits, I keep things artistic and natural with gentle direction, and family photos organized.

Illusions Weddings is a photography team. Michelle graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors Of Fine Art In Photography in 1999. While living in CA she worked for a Hollywood Photo studio for 4 yrs. Upon moving to Colorado she worked at a wedding and portrait studio. Angela is a self taught photographer. In her youth she dabbled in modeling. This taught her posing, angles and finding the light. She is a classically trained visual artist in many mediums. Through that she learned to understand human form. 15 years ago she opened a face and body painting business and added photography shortly after.

After years of family portraits and children portraits, I’ve dipped my toes in the waters of wedding and elopement photography. Born and raised in Maryland, I’m a creative wedding photographer. A lotta years back I jacked in my safe, noble, health insurance-providing job working with grieving families to follow a little dream I had. I wanted to take pictures. Pictures so beautiful they make people do a little cry. So that’s what I did. I also managed to bring two spirited boys into the world. That means I live a completely outnumbered existence with two males in the house but don’t worry, I’m on top of it. Being a mother is awesome and terrifying in equal measure but I don’t let it define me. Lots of people can be mothers: few can be awesome wedding photographers.

From Brazil, in 2015 I came to the U.S. and made Maryland my home, first becoming a wife of a professional photographer and then a mother of two.
