Farfalla Photography
I'm a full-time wedding photographer currently based out of a little town in the middle of the mountains of Western Maryland. I have a serious case of wanderlust, an obsession with castles, all dogs, Game of Thrones, and pretty much anything that takes me outside.
I've been photographing weddings & elopements for over 11 years now, and I'm madly in love with it! Nothings inspires me more than two people who make each other laugh, and decide that they want to keep doing it for the rest of their lives.

Mellisa is the BEST
I can’t say enough about Mellisa. She did a truly AMAZING job at our wedding! Not only did she capture our big day so wonderfully but she also made sure I was well taken care of from the start to the end. Mellisa is also very good at finding the perfect angle right away, which tells you how talented she is as a photoprapher. I used her pictures for our Christmas cards and I received SO MANY compliments!! I also used her work to create a wedding photo album, which I gifted to my parents-in-law, and they were very impressed and moved. Her photos capture and deliver even the subtle emotions of people, and that allows us to relive our unforgettable wedding day. Her work definitely touches many people’s hearts and I can’t thank her enough for it! Being able to work with her was absolutely one of the best decisions I made for my wedding and I HIGHLY recommend her. Don’t look for any further! I would love her to take our future family photos or anniversary photos as well! Thank you for being such a kind, fun, thoughtful, and talented photographer, Mellisa! We are forever thankful!

The ultimate wedding photographer investment
Mel is truly a one-of-a-kind photographer. I’m an over planning, anxious person and bride. My photos were my top priority of my wedding day and it was extremely important to me that they were what I wanted. I had searched for what seemed like forever and stumbled across Farfalla and immediately knew it was the style I had been searching for. The contrast makes the photos intimate without comprising them and being too dark. And there is no give in color, it’s beautifully there. I call it intimately colorful, which is what my day is all about. I knew our engagement photos would be good but they surpassed anything I imagined. They were STUNNING. My fiancé is not a picture person but we both felt so comfortable within 10 minutes of the shoot. We laughed, joked, and had fun the whole time, photographer included! She just has the most fun personality that would be needed on your wedding day and from day 1 with all my questions, Mel responded within a timely manner and eased all my worries. Up to this point, I’ve texted her several times regarding the photos or canvas I’ve ordered and she’s always just so sweet and excited! It always makes you feel special by the end of a conversation. All I have to say is, you get what you pay for. Quality wedding pictures are an investment, but it’s a lifetime investment. And you want to make sure you’re investing in the right person. Mel is that person, and you will have no regrets.

The absolute best
Mel was a phenomenal photographer, from start to finish. I find myself constantly looking back at our wedding photos and feeling like I’m reliving the day in full thanks to her keen eye and skill behind the camera. She nailed everything, from the “formal” shots to the candid reception shots of our friends having a blast on the dance floor. Not only was she a wonderful photographer worth every penny, but she’s also a great human. I will continue to recommend her to my friends and can’t wait to see her at their weddings, too!

Call Melissa! But seriously, Melissa’s skill and thoughtfulness as a photographer are unmatched and the best part of it all is that she will make you feel at ease in an instant.
