South Farms' features a premier farmland destination in Litchfield County and our award-winning events venue, The White Barn at South Farms Conveniently located between NYC and Boston in the Litchfield Hills of Connecticut, The White Barn at South Farms is a state-of-the-art events venue creatively constructed within the iconic Sam Paletsky Barn. South Farms boasts a working farm, stunning pastoral views, and all the amenities you would expect with a premier venue.

The Phelps-Hatheway House & Garden highlights the elegant lifestyle enjoyed by two 18th-century families on Suffield’s historic Main Street. From the grand staircase to the fine Connecticut furniture and Parisian wallpaper, the house showcases Federal period high style. The landscaped grounds feature formal flower beds and an herb garden. A historic barn and cozy summer house are perfect for weddings, meetings, and other special occasions.

We have two banquet rooms. The larger of the two, the Berkshire room, has a capacity of 100-350 (minimum of 150 on a Saturday and 100 on any other day of the week). The smaller of the two, the Westfield room, has a capacity of 50-150 people (minimum of 100 people on a Saturday and 50 any other day of the week). We also have a beautiful outdoor ceremony space with the option to host an inside ceremony as well.

All your guests can travel to the top on our Ski Lift to get to the beautiful views of the property. If the Base of the Mountain is preferred, you may select to be next to our pond or by the outdoor fireplace. For your reception, our Rustic Lodge including two stone fireplaces, barn door along with bistro lighting is able to accommodate up to 180 people for dinner and dancing. Founded in 1814, The West Boylston Company was a large textile manufacturer in West Boylston, MA. At the turn of the century the company faced a crisis: the site of their mill would be flooded to form the Wachusett Reservoir. Instead of abandoning the mill, the company dismantled it brick by brick and shipped it to its new home in Easthampton, where it was rebuilt on the banks of the Lower Mill Pond. Now, a century later, The Boylston Rooms retains the integrity of the 1814 original mill in every brick and beam. Our rental includes planners and decor at no added cost.
