Hi! I’m Becky Sexton-Ellison, owner and chef of Mountain Heart Catering. I’ve been cooking since I was tall enough to reach the stove, learning from my mom, grandmother, and babysitter. Cooking is my passion, and I love making people smile with homemade Southern food. I was the head cook at my parents’ restaurant for years, and my uncle owned the Fox and Hounds Restaurant in Newport. Now, I bring that rich heritage to every event. Whether it’s a wedding or a backyard party, I’m here to make your day amazing — one delicious bite at a time.

From our first conversation to the moment we bid you farewell at the end of your event, our goal is to make this experience easy and fun for you. We’ll handle all those pesky details and help you figure out what you need as far as menu, quantity, packaging, and service. Welcome to Mama Gina Catering, an Authentic Italian Food Experience. All my menu items include the most amazing Italian flavors taught to me by my Nana from when I was a little girl. My grandparents, born & raised in Italy came to this country by way of Ellis Island. I loved listening to the stories they told with their Italian friends most of which spoke broken English. All of my teachings were hands on not hand written “little of this & little of that" then tasting until you are happy. To this day that is how I cook because Italian Food is all about fresh ingredients, heart, taste and a deep love of cooking.

Manis & Co. is generations in the making! When Brandon and Kristen met, they bonded over their love for homecooked family meals. With Kristens strong Italian heritage and Brandon's German roots they were able to create an amazing catering experience! Brandon has a background in food management and merchandising while Kristen is a Wedding Coordinator so it just seemed to be a match made in heaven! Chef Anna, a Carmel-by-the-Sea native, began her career as a celebrity private chef while attending culinary school in San Francisco. Her classical training was complemented by deep nutritional education at The Esalen Institute and the Hippocrates Health Institute. As a sought-after wellness retreat chef and wedding chef, Chef Anna has traveled extensively across the United States and internationally. Her home base is Figure Eight Island, NC. A true hospitality professional, Chef Anna received the Michelin Key award in 2024 and 2025.
