Beautifully situated at the top of a hill overlooking a lake on approximately 450 acres tree farm and wildlife preserve. The Longhouse building has a large hall that can be used in a variety of ways. It's cathedral ceiling and large stone hearth make it both beautifully spacious and warm and inviting. The Pavilion at Black Water Junction was built by our family, for our family. We used old wood, old doors, huge rocks, and live edge boards, all found on the farm. We decorated with special things from our family. All of this makes our venue a very special place that we would like to share with you!

The Hive is a beautiful event center located in Staley, NC. We are situated on 200 acres of rolling farm land in Randolph county NC. Our facility began life as the clubhouse for Ferguson Farms Golf Course. When the golf course closed in 2012, it sat abandoned until our family came across the land. We came across this gem while we were searching for a larger property to expand our farm. It had been neglected for so many years, but we immediately saw great potential in its natural beauty, barns, and clubhouse. The streams, ponds, and woodlands teamed with wildlife and we just knew this farm had to been revived into something new, a place where joy, laughter and unity would be experienced.

Your wedding at Millikan Farms will be different from any other because this is your day to do whatever you want. You can do just that at this perfect 1938 unique barn that is located in a prime location in the heart of North Carolina. We are located near Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, Asheboro and many points in between. We offer an authentic farm setting that is rustic yet elegant. Just a short TWENTY minute drive south of Lynchburg, Avoca, the principal architectural landmark of the Town of Altavista, is an American Queen Anne-style house, designed by architect J.M.B. Lewis and built in 1901. Designated a Virginia Historic Landmark and listed in the National Register of Historic Places, Avoca is the home site of Colonel Charles Lynch, Revolutionary War hero. On the of grounds of the Museum, enjoy your private event with the ambiance of the Avoca mansion and the original Revolutionary War era kitchen, as well as 18th century outbuildings.
