“Original Weddings truly outdid themselves when it came to capturing our day — both in photo and video form! We opted for two photographers and one videographer, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We were initially told to expect our photos and videos within 4–6 months, but to our surprise, we received everything in less than two weeks after the wedding! Our lead photographer, Steve (or Steven), was wonderful — full of energy, creative, and so intentional with every shot he took. Aspen, our second photographer, perfectly captured all the little details and candid moments we might have missed. It was such a gift to see the empty room and venue shots that we didn’t get to take in during the day. Our videographer, Win (apologies if I’ve spelled that incorrectly), was equally amazing. He captured the joy, the laughter, and all the meaningful speeches that we’ll cherish forever. Original Weddings exceeded every expectation, and we highly recommend them. After researching and comparing multiple vendors, we found their pricing and quality to be unmatched. We loved working with them — and if we could re-hire them, we absolutely would!”

We can not stress enough how much Julia impacted our wedding day. First, she has your back. She helped us keep calm and keep our timeline on track. Julia had a great sense of reading the room. She was by our side when we needed her. Second, we had a BLAST! Julia kept our energy UP (she's a Leo, if you know you know). She had both of us laughing, smiling, and overall happy. Even our bridal party and family LOVED Julia's professionalism and how she conducts group photos. My bridesmaids were obsessed with her and plan on using her in the future. She's seriously that good. I’m Julia - people always ask me how long I’ve been a photographer for and the cliché (but true) answer is for forever. I’ve walked through many alleys that led me to photographing weddings. I worked for the Field Museum photographing meteorites during my college years in Chicago, then worked as a freelancer in the automotive industry when I moved back to Michigan, and worked in a studio photographing everything from seniors to pets. “Where to begin? Finding Katy was truly one of the biggest blessings of our wedding process. It was very important to find a photographer who we felt had, and actively displayed, the ability to photograph in an inclusive, respectful and honest manner. “Absolutely amazing photos taken that I will cherish forever. Me and my boyfriend had dozens of photos taken that we now have printed out and made collages with and even turned into puzzles. Extremely professional and easy to schedule with. I could not be any happier with my photos. Usually I don’t care to have my photo taken but I am absolutely in love with these photos.
