Wedding photographer for couples who hate awkward photos. Making camera-shy couples look like themselves since 2016. Equal parts photographer, hype woman, and professional problem solver. Bold photos. Zero awkward posing. Whether you're getting married in Detroit, Ann Arbor, Royal Oak, or eloping somewhere completely off the beaten path, I'm here for it.
Most of my couples tell me they're awkward in front of a camera. Good. Those are my favorite people. My job isn't to turn you into models. My job is to make you forget the camera is even there. By the end of the wedding, you'll have someone fixing your dress, carrying your drink, keeping family members organized, and hyping you up like we've been friends for years.

Best EVER! Captured All Special Moments Perfectly
If you want the most beautiful and thoughtfully captured photos, Katy is the BEST! We had the pleasure of working with Katy for our engagement and wedding photos, and it was the best decision ever! Katy was so caring, professional, organized, easy to work with, and made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire process and especially when we needed it most, on our wedding day. Michigan's Best Kept Photography Secret
Where to begin? Finding Katy was truly one of the biggest blessings of our wedding process. It was very important to find a photographer who we felt had, and actively displayed, the ability to photograph in an inclusive, respectful and honest manner. We are an interfaith couple with family and friends who fall everywhere along the social, identity and religious spectrum. Once we found Katy, we were blown away by the love, care and diversity showcased in her portfolio. Upon meeting with her virtually, we were convinced that she was the right person. Katy is kind, understanding and VERY good at what she does. When it comes to the work, Katy was proactive without being pushy and really took to heart what we wanted out of our photos. Over the course of the experience, we were able to develop a real friendship with her because she is that good of a person. The day of the event, Katy was locked in and on top of everything. Prior to our weekend, she had done an amazing job of giving us prep sheets and coordinating as much detail as possible so the big day could just glide. Katy and her second shooter Jen (who was amazing, too!) were professional, fun and didn't miss a moment of the day. Everything from planned photos to impromptu shots felt fun and natural. Getting back the album completely blew past our expectations. Every photo captured exactly what we had discussed with her. So many photographs left us speechless. Katy should be at the top of your list if you want great photos full of love, care, and magic. She is down to earth and was the only photographer we spoke to that didn't make us feel like we were just another gig for them.

Best Photographer Ever!
Hiring Katy was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. Our pictures are beyond perfect! We love every single one and friends and family still rave about them even years later. She brought so many fun ideas for different poses and made sure that we got every single picture that we had on our list.
