I live in Maine in the summer and I reside in Florida during the winter! I've made it my mission to create stunning, timeless images that will be treasured for years to come. My name is Nick and I am a photographer, videographer, and the creator of Life in Focus. I specialize in wedding videography in the Outer Banks, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Maine as well as all over the world. You want your story told with emotion. You want to cry, all over again because you are reliving moments you missed as your day flew by.

I'd say my photography style would be something along the lines of "lifestyle photography". [That means that posing you in silly ways that seem fake / awkward isn't really my jam.] I mean, unless that gets some snuggles & laughs. I'm ALLLL about that. I like to capture REAL life with REAL emotions and REAL smiles. Your session should be relaxed and fun. [All while I get some kick-ass photos!] I will most likely make a giant fool of myself at your session, so you'll feel like a professional. I started this business over 11 years ago after my best friend had a horrible experience with her own wedding photographer. Having been a landscape and portrait photographer at the time, she asked me to come out a year later and reshoot her fall wedding portraits. Her and her husband were over the moon with the work we delivered them. Vowing to never let another couple be so unhappy with their wedding images as she was with her original photographer - our wedding photography brand was born!

To the first kiss and “OMG you’re my spouse now!!” feels. To the unexpected Taco Bell run you make after the ceremony or your grandparents getting down on the dance floor. Capture the North was founded by multi-award-winning, and published photographer Sarah K. Marshall, and her husband, Christopher Marshall. Both are Marine Corps veterans and native New Englanders. Despite traveling across the world while serving in the Marine Corps, there is still something so magical about the New England area for them. Sarah was named Department of Defense Military Photographer of the Year 2020, and Marine Corps Photographer of the Year 2020 + 2021. Her work has been displayed in the National Museum of the Marine Corps and her imagery was the cover art of Leatherneck Magazine.

Since 2016, I've been photographing weddings for the most amazing couples. My focus is not only to tell the story of the day, but to create the most awesome art for my clients. My goal is to make all of my couple's days run smoothly and as stress-free as a wedding can be.
