My oh my was I blown away by the flowers and the creations that were made. Donna was so patient with all the changes I kept on making to the contract as my ideas and thoughts changed (sorry!). Everything in the end turned out amazing and for a very very reasonable cost! I loved my bouquet so much that I am having it pressed and preserved forever! Communication was also so easy and her instagram gave such good insight into what the end product might look like!

Barnswallow Blooms
Rating: 5.0 (4 reviews)
  • Serves Nortonsville, VA

I have a love for all things wild and natural, scented blossoms, mossy twigs, and starry nights. Flowers simply make my heart sing. I believe the magic of growing and gathering was planted in me years ago as a young girl, working alongside my mother picking wildflowers and lily of the valley. How I create is deeply rooted in who I am; a floral designer, grower, and potter. I feel my art background has been a really strong foundation for floral design as textures, color, and design are all intertwined with both arts.

Flowergirl Cville
Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Nortonsville, VA

I believe flowers have a special mission in our lives. People change when they see flowers. Studies have shown flowers have an immediate impact on happiness and their presence leads to increased contact with family and friends. As a freelance floral designer, I loved the way faces lit up when I walked into the venue with arrangements and buckets of flowers. I decided to take the leap and pursue a career that would enable me to create something meaningful and beautiful and combine my passion with designing a purpose-driven life centered on creating stronger connections amongst people through the beauty and language of flowers.

Jennifer was amazing to work with and her arrangements were gorgeous, and exactly what we wanted for our wedding plus within budget!

Willow Branch Flowers
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Nortonsville, VA

Willow Branch is Step mother/daughter team, Cathy Coyle and Mary Pearl Monnes. Willow Branch has grown from a life long love of flowers, gardening, art, nature and all things beautiful. Backgrounds in fine art and horticulture enable us to visualize unique combinations of color, form and texture with consideration for each individual couple and season. We work closely with dedicated local growers to select the best material for our designs. Embracing seasonal selections allow the beholder to take forward a memento of their experience, reliving the beauty of a day again and again in the passing of seasons.

As with many women, I have been dreaming about my wedding since I was a little girl playing pretend. My husband and I also had a two-year long engagement, so I dreamed even more intensely about what everything would look like. What we couldn't have predicted was how unbelievably gorgeous everything would look, because our florals were so vibrant and fresh and beautiful. I have never seen flowers so bright and healthy as Willow Branch Flowers'. They really made everything else in our wedding pop, and I'm so happy I got my bouquet preserved so I can always have a piece of these gorgeous florals. They were so easy to work with, very responsive, and even stayed after the ceremony to help set up the reception. The arch was easily my favorite part, but every table and votive and even the flower girls' petals were absolute perfection. They are completely worth it and more. I HIGHLY recommend booking with them!

I had the pleasure of getting my flowers with Rebecca. They do amazing work, I couldn’t have been happier with my flowers. And the fact that they last forever makes it that much better.

Something Borrowed Blooms provided the most lifelike and luxurious floral arrangements for our wedding day. The bouquets, ceremony pieces and boutonnieres were all incredibly realistic and high quality, with vibrant colors and lush textures that exceeded our expectations. In fact, as my husband and I were taking photos in a park, a bee even tried to pollinate my bouquet, drawn to its beauty and realism. Getting the boxes to the venue did require a bit of coordination, but with a little help from friends we were able to easily box them up the day after the wedding and ship them off via FedEx. We saved easily 2,000 thanks to Something Borrowed and you would never know the flowers were fake.

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (94 reviews)

  • Serves Nortonsville, VA

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

My wedding was in the Baltimore - DC area. Poppy Flowers did an excellent job with our floral design, from the initial planning call to making sure that all the final details were in place. We even had to switch from an outdoor to an indoor ceremony at the last minute and everything still turned out beautiful. I felt like the flowers were Pinterest-perfect!

Woodland Floral Design Co.
Rating: 5.0 (78 reviews)
  • Serves Nortonsville, VA

Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

Working with Misha was an absolute dream! She understood my vision and then amplified it x100 to help design the most vibrant, garden party chic floral displays ever! Walking out on my wedding day and being surrounded by beautiful flowers was amazing. Misha is so easy to communicate with and really helped take flowers completely off of my plate once she understood the vibe I was going for. She even helped me decide to do all different dresses for my bridesmaids which was so fun! She worked seamlessly with the décor and signage gal (Kelsey of Creamery Hill). Many times throughout the night, I was told that my flowers were the most gorgeous my guests have ever seen at a wedding. THANK YOU MISHA!

The Faux Bouquets
Rating: 5.0 (43 reviews)
  • Starts at $175
  • Serves Nortonsville, VA

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
We had the most incredible experience with the Faux Bouquets! From start to finish, Brittany was responsive, caring and efficient! We rented the ‘Moody Romance’ suite and I purchased an add on of a custom bridal bouquet and boutonnière! I had done thorough research on purchasing real flowers and while price was our driving factor, I loved the element of saving on waste with renting and the option to purchase a keepsake! Brittany spent time talking to me so many times about questions I had and was incredibly patient! With the custom bouquet, I was able to upload inspiration photos and she NAILED it! The shipping process was so seamless as well. Brittany provided the tracking numbers and thorough instructions on receiving and then returning the flowers. I pride myself on getting ALL the flowers returned in record time (Brittany said) ;) All of our guests couldn’t believe the flowers were fake and everyone was raving about them! Do yourself a favor and go with The Fuax Bouquets!

Cassidy put together the florals for our wedding this weekend. We ordered arbor flowers that Cassidy recycled to our cake and sweetheart table. Unfortunately the wind during the first half of our reception was a little WILD so my current photos of that aren’t able to do it justice until my photos come in. However, I have some photos of the flowers before I sent them off for preservation as well. We also used Cassidy for rentals of pillar candles and bud vases. She assembled those and had welcome table greens for us, my bouquet, and my husband’s boutonniere. I was constantly adding things to the list like some spray flowers for my photographers for my flat lays. But she managed it. Cassidy attended our walk through to make sure that she saw the property and knew where our flowers would be doing. She provided some inspiration photos based on what I wanted and she delivered on that for sure! I think the centerpieces in particular were EXACTLY what I was looking for. She really nailed those and they turned out beautifully. When we didn’t know what we wanted or struggled to get a good vision going, she made some suggestions and went through the pros and cons with me of options. It was great to get her input on things and also trust her perspective as it relates to florals. Thank you so much for a great day!

Poppin’ Peonies Collective creates design-forward wedding florals for couples who want the planning process to feel clear, supported, and thoughtfully guided. Our role is to remove that uncertainty.

I highly recommend Bre with Poppin Peonies! Not only is Bre super sweet and was a pleasure to work with from start to finish, but her business is reasonably priced and she is so talented with florals. She is very organized and communicative. We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Ket! She was incredibly creative and managed to perfectly capture my somewhat vague vision perfectly, bringing it to life in the most stunning way. Communication with her was fantastic—she was always easy to reach and responded quickly to any questions or updates we had. We were working with a tight budget, and she was incredibly respectful and accommodating. When we decided to DIY some of the arrangements (like the bridesmaids’ bouquets) to save on costs, she was so supportive. She even went above and beyond by connecting us with her wholesaler, making it easy to match the flowers seamlessly. I can’t thank her enough for everything. She made the entire process smooth and helped make our wedding day truly amazing. I can't recommend her enough!

The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!
