Jennie Tewell Photography
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
  • Fine art style
  • Serves Myrtlewood, AL

I am Jennie. A sweet tea enthusiast, and lover of all things southern! I'm known for changing my hair color more times than I can count, flowy dresses, a delivery from amazon almost every day, and a small obsession with getting the newest apple product. My husband Andrew, my three adorable girls, and God are some of the most important things to me. I consider myself to be so lucky, because I get to photograph your special moments full-time! After having my first daughter, Ashlyn, my sweet husband gifted me a beautiful new DSLR, and my love for photography was born!

“From the moment we started planning our wedding, we knew choosing the right photographer was crucial, and Jennie Tewell was exactly who we needed. She communicated with us every step of the way, making sure she understood our vision and that we felt prepared for our big day. What really stood out was her personality. Jennie kept us laughing throughout the entire wedding and had a way of easing the stress that naturally comes with the day. Her eye for detail is incredible, and she captured moments we didn't even know we wanted frozen in time. We cannot wait to display these photos throughout our home and share them with our future kids and grandkids. Thank you, Jennie, for creating images that will be treasured forever.”

The team showed up early, stayed focused, and captured every moment that mattered to us—from the quiet details to the big celebrations. Their photos are stunning and really show the love and joy we felt throughout the day. We loved working with them before the wedding and felt totally comfortable having them around on the big day. “We had a great experience with Amative Creative for our wedding! One thing that really made them stand out was that they offer so many different editing styles to choose from, so we were able to pick exactly the look we wanted. They also got our photos back to us super quickly—about a week after the wedding—which was such a nice surprise. The photos turned out beautiful and they captured all the big moments and some great candid shots. I especially love how cool the dance floor shots turned out. We received tons of compliments on the pictures! Highly recommend!”

Hello lovely! Let me introduce myself—I’m Sarah. Welcome to my little creative space—I hope you love it here & make yourself at home. My goal as your photographer is to put you at ease and therefore be able to capture your moments authentically and beautifully. As a film and digital photographer ("hybrid" if you will!), I take a big step back to capture your memories with intention, love, and honesty - my promise to you, is to treat your day as if it were my own. Film is my favorite medium to capture wedding days on, as I feel it brings back a level of authenticity, imperfection, and refined elegance that is irreplaceable.

Awarded Best of Zola
“From the moment we booked Fox & Fig Photography for our wedding, their communication was phenomenal and they were always quick to respond to any questions we had. Their work is simply gorgeous - exactly the style we were looking for to capture our special day. On the wedding day, they made both my husband and I feel at ease, even though we are a bit awkward in front of the camera. They provided excellent guidance on posing and helped us look our best. Fox & Fig was incredibly supportive and patient with us as a nervous couple. We are thrilled with the sneak peeks of our photos and can’t wait for the whole product! I can NOT recommend Fox & Fig enough.”

I'm a devout Christian and family man. I served my country proudly as an Army Infantryman and did one tour to Iraq from 09-10. I'm an avid movie watcher. Shawshank Redemption and Tommy Boy are two of my all-time favorite movies. I have a very laid-back and relaxed demeanor, but at the same time, I'm a perfectionist and extremely organized with a keen eye for detail. I have a major in computer engineering and a minor in electrical engineering. In my spare time, I enjoy felling trees, tinkering with electronics, and learning Jiu-Jitsu. Above all these, I love taking pictures of the world around me and transforming them into masterpieces.

“Kaleb was very time efficient, he planned everything out according to how I wanted it, and his eye for good wedding memories is fantastic! We absolutely love our pictures (that we got back in a WEEK by the way!!!) and our wedding video is just so sweet. He managed to get every single shot and more without even knowing he was there! And his prices were SO worth what you get from him!”

“We feel so lucky to have found Andrew as our wedding photographer. He has an incredible eye for the editorial style and makes his photos into works of art with golden light and chiaroscuro. So many photographers just rely on their high-res equipment but don't offer anything more--I don't want a macro shot of every pore or line on my face like an owl in a tree at 100 yards, I want to have a sense of magic and beauty in every photo. Andrew actually does that. I almost cried when I saw our first look photos because I don't feel very confident being photographed and I finally had dozens of photos of myself and my husband that I want to share with friends immediately and cherish forever. He delivered the first look so fast, even though I know he was busy working another wedding; I thought for sure we would have to wait longer. The wedding package we chose included very nice touches like polaroids so we had something in hand at the end of the wedding day itself, too. It was very thoughtful and left us feeling good about the whole experience right away. He was very personal and nice to work with, but not intrusive, and went with the little schedule changes we had, and was open to suggestions while we took post-ceremony photos around the city. I couldn't be happier with our experience with him and would recommend him highly to anyone looking for a real artist for their wedding photography.”

Hi! I'm Christin, a destination wedding photographer based in Chattanooga, TN. Specializing in timeless and artful imagery, my expertise goes beyond just taking photos; it's about crafting a visual story that reflects the joy, love, and unique spirit of your celebration.

“Working with Christin at Christin Sofka Photography was one of the absolute highlights of our wedding journey. From our very first inquiry to the days following our wedding, Christin has been nothing short of phenomenal—responsive, professional, fun, and such a warm presence throughout. We initially found her because of her stunning photography style, but it was her incredible personality that sealed the deal. From our first call, she genuinely wanted to get to know us—our story, our vibe, our vision—and it showed in everything she did. Before we even officially hired her, Christin was helping us find a venue that aligned with our dream, connecting us with other amazing vendors, and offering support in ways far beyond the role of a photographer. She was in it with us every step of the way. I’m usually awkward in front of a camera, but somehow Christin made it feel effortless and fun. She created an environment where we could just be ourselves—and that joy, love, and personality came through in every photo. Our pictures shine with who we are. Every idea we had, she embraced and brought to life in ways that exceeded our expectations. She was just as excited as we were the entire time—and honestly, I can’t imagine our day without her. Christin is not just a photographer—she’s a true artist, a cheerleader, and a calming, creative force you’ll be so lucky to have by your side. If you’re considering hiring her: do it. You’ll be singing her praises too.”

For the earthy and whimsical type 🌿 My style is inspired by fine art, nature, and genuine human connection. I feel most at home among the trees and moss ❤️ I drink way too much coffee to keep up with my young kids and never skip a beach boys song. I love to create, and I love that I can do that for a living, experiencing your love stories and meeting so many beautiful people ❤️❤️ All interested inquiries, please visit my website and inquire within <3

“I cannot recommend Teresa enough!! She took my wedding on fresh into the game and absolutely killed it! I still look through these photos every day to think about my wedding and it's been 3 years. She candidly captured so many special memories and had such a great attitude through the looooong day I dragged her through. Do yourself a favor and hire her. If i could i would giver her 10 stars!!”
