Wow.. I genuinely don’t even know where to start with Avonlea. My husband and I are still riding our wedding high after our September wedding here. The staff is so kind and so helpful, the entire process was honestly seamlessly! From the moment my husband I stepped on property for our tour, Debbie and Clint made us feel right at home. They sat down and asked questions about us and our vision and you can tell they genuinely love what they do. Our wedding day went so smoothly thanks to them and their team, and the grounds!! The grounds are just absolutely stunning! I love and will cherish this venue for life! I also cannot stop gushing to everyone about Connie, our coordinator. She was honestly the best and cares SO much about her brides and their day going smoothly.. Seriously, Avonlea and their people really make you feel at home!

It was evident that she genuinely cared about making the day special for our family. Her dedication and professionalism shined upon us the whole time. Because of Katie's expertise and dedication, we were able to relax and truly enjoy the day without any stress or concerns. Knowing that everything was in capable hands allowed us to be fully present in the moment, celebrating our son and new daughter-in-laws special day. Fawn Lake was the first venue we visited and after that, nothing else compared! We can not say enough about Jessica and her amazing staff! We were fortunate enough to work with them for over 2 years! Our original plan was to be married in June 2020, throughout the pandemic, Jessica kept in constant contact with us about updates a d supported us along the way. After our decision to postpone to June 2021, the team continued to stay in touch. Jessica and her team and are respectful, responsive and kind. Jessica is always welcoming as she celebrated with us as counts when down and Virginia opened up! She answered every minuscule question and walked us through every step of the way. With Fawn Lake, we never had a worry about our special day. They helped with with everything and took care of the entire day. We never had to fret! Just 20 minutes before our ceremony, it started to drizzle. Jessica offered 3 different back up plans before I could even blink. After a covid postponement, and a rain delay- Jessica and the staff at fawn lake made sure our special day was more amazing than we could ever dream! They stood by as it only rained for 17 minutes and switched from outdoors to in doors and back to outdoors without hesitation. We were truly blessed to find Fawn Lake! We are honestly sad that we don’t have an excuse to work with them anymore. They listen to every request, follow every direction and give amazing support and suggestions. Our guests are still raving about the organization and the food at our wedding! They are the best!

Suggestions when we needed it and encouraged us as we shared our vision. Ryan even stepped in to be our officiant. The venue is gorgeous and far enough from DC to not have traffic issues but close enough to make out of town travel easy. The house gives the bridal party so much space to relax and get ready. We used the Kimpton The Forum Hotel for our wedding weekend and it was a DREAM. By far the nicest accommodations available in the Charlottesville area, and pricing-wise, it beats competitors by a mile for a much nicer experience. From the minute we arrived for our wedding weekend, staff here made us feel seen and helped us with our every request. We were able to book a suite for bride and groom and getting ready, and Shannon helped us so much in securing our room block, extending it, and coordinating our stay. We also opted to have our wedding welcome party here, which was truly perfect. A huge thank you to Jake for the wonderful support provided in planning. The bar staff was so kind and soldiered through a very hot evening outside on the Camilia Promenade (which was a BEAUTIFUL venue) and choosing to host the welcome party at the hotel was one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning process. The food and drink were perfect. This was also a great spot for our guests, who could find something to eat at one of the restaurants when needed. We found ourselves gathered around the bar at night which was just such a lovely way to spend time together, and the accommodations themselves were so upscale and lovely. Valet staff was out of this world helpful, remembered our names, were friendly and kind...and our guests loved the happy hour in the evenings, too! I wish we could've stayed here even longer, it was truly so perfect and made us feel so special over our wedding weekend. Can't recommend enough!
