“I've never worked with a DJ as good as Drew and his crew. Drew had sent me an email a few weeks before the couples wedding with the reception timeline (a first) and kept me up-to-date with any last minute changes the day of. It is clear by working with Drew how much he loves his job and how much he cares about the couples he works with. He got the crowd going, the dance floor was always packed and he invited the couple up to DJ booth which was so fun for them and also amazing for pictures. If you are looking for a DJ who cares, gets the dance floor going and is easy to work with, BEG Event Group is it. I will be recommending them to all my clients!”

“We knew Cover Story was the perfect choice for our wedding from our very first call with Chris. Chris and Elena made the entire planning process clear and easy from start to finish. They brought their expertise and guidance exactly when we needed it, while still giving us plenty of room for creative input. The whole collaboration felt natural and seamless. They made us feel totally safe asking all of our questions and took care of everything, working with our venue effortlessly. The performers on the day were phenomenal, and our guests are still talking about it! Their talent was incredible, and they were kind, fun, and professional to work with. Our ceremony guitarist learned our entrance songs and performed them beautifully. Our special dances were played from mp3 and were timed perfectly. Even though we honestly didn't give them much direction for timing, they just nailed it! And then the party! Our family and friends love to dance, and the band kept the energy high all night long. They even learned a couple of extra songs for us that sounded amazing. Their talent is honestly unreal. They definitely were supposed to take more breaks than they did, but they just kept playing, and even gave us an encore. After the wedding, we got to chat with some of the band members, and they were all so kind and genuinely cool people. The entertainment really shapes the overall atmosphere of a wedding, and because of Cover Story, our wedding day was perfect. We'd recommend Cover Story for any event, hands down!”

“John is an amazing DJ . Having him from the moment we chose him to the day of our wedding having the monthly check ins really helped make the process easier. One thing we really loved is he played all our request. He worked around our schedule, using video chat to finalize everything was great ! He has his own website accommodated to you where you can add any music you want through YouTube etc worked out well with our wide variety of genres our guests liked. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ and person to help make our day special. You will not be disappointed ! “Brendan is the absolute best!!! His communication was quick and efficient when we first started the process of looking for a DJ. We looked no further once Brendan gave us his details. Our guests told us that they absolutely “loved our DJ” and we couldn’t agree more!! My main wish was to have everyone on the dance floor all night and thanks to Brendan’s playlist, our guests were dancing all night long. My dad worked with Brendan to come up with a mashup of songs that meant a lot to us from my childhood for the father/bride dance. The mashup had smooth transitions and it was very specially made. Brendan was conscious of our song requests and made our vision come to life from walkout songs to parent dances, group dances, cake cutting song, to final song of the night. The phone app that Brendan uses to organize your night is easy to use and allows you to personalize your night to absolute perfection as you prepare for the day. We've been to a lot of weddings, and it’s rare to see a dance floor packed from start to finish, but he had ours full the entire night. Every song choice, every transition, every moment flowed perfectly — from the high-energy entrance all the way through to the very last song. Alex has this incredible ability to read the room and keep the energy exactly where it should be. He made the night seamless, fun, and truly unforgettable. As a bride, I felt like I had a lot of specific requests regarding timing of certain songs for the processional, recessional, first dances, etc. He exceeded my dreams. From ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner and reception, it was truly immaculate. “My husband and I recently got married September 2023 at Hotel Providence in Rhode Island. Planning a wedding was one of the hardest things I ever had to do in my life. Finding the perfect vendor for each part of your wedding is hard. I spent many many days privately messaging people and trying to see who fits what I need for this day. I came down to the DJ. I found Josh of D and J entertainment. I read all his positive reviews and decided to give him a call. He without hesitation answered all my questions and drove from Massachusetts to Rhode Island to meet with us. Josh hands down is one of the coolest people you can talk to. He is very honest but in a good way. He lets you know was popular with weddings now and helps you out his spin on it. Josh’ company has amazing pricing. They are able to accommodate all weddings. With so much you have to pay for on this day it’s nice paying someone and feeling like your money is actually going to be used well with him. They arrived hours before the ceremony to set up. The hotel loved the company too and how polite they were. Josh came prepared with all the music we requested to hear that day. From the minute we walked down the isle to when everyone left. Josh kept playing amazing music. All night I wasn’t let down once by the song choice. In some areas the venue messed up on a few things. Example the cake cutting and first dance. The hotel really didn’t nail timing so josh Took complete control of the wedding and saved it truly. He made sure my cake cutting and first dance were memorable because the hotel slipped with this. Nothing like a DJ who saves the day too. The best part of it all while DJing Josh found time to take so many photos. He wasn’t asked or required to do so. He took it upon himself to take more professional photos for us. That’s what I call above and beyond. Couldn’t believe he went that far out of his way for us. “This band plays an incredibly large range of music; from reggae to disco to hip hop. They are good at what they do and they look good while doing it. This is one of the few bands I've seen that wear suits and other costumes instead of the usual jeans and t-shirts. They have a sophisticated lighting rig to bring color to the stage. By far the most important quality of the Doc Ellis band is their ability to read and hold an audience. They know how to get people on the dance floor and how to keep the party going. I've seen them do fundraisers, outdoor festivals, gigs in churches, night clubs, country clubs and restaurants. They are pros and worth the money.”

“My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! “Jeff was amazing! My husband and I got married at the Branford House in Groton CT July 2025 and hired Jeff to take care of all our music and sound for our ceremony and cocktail hour. He was so professional and easy to work with. It was so important to me that everyone could clearly hear our ceremony as it was outside in a large space and he crushed it! We also had him DJing during cocktail hour and we 10/10 recommend it, he got the party started right away and everyone loved it.”

“We hired ITS LIT RI for our Newport wedding to rent marquee letters and a photo booth, and they completely exceeded our expectations! From our very first inquiry with Alex and his team, their customer service was top-notch. Their communication was fast, and stress-free—which is amazing when planning a wedding. The marquee letters were such a beautiful focal point and added the perfect glow to our reception venue. Everyone loved taking photos with them. The photo booth was also a huge hit with all of our guests! The setup was perfect, the prints/digital photos turned out amazing, and the attendant made sure everyone had a blast. We loved that we were able to pick a design for our prints and personalize it! The book that I received at the end of the night was the perfect touch with everyone’s pictures! Everything was delivered, set up, and taken down promptly at the venue without us having to worry for a second on our big day. “DJ Motiv was extraordinary. I was so impressed by his professionalism, communication, and willingness to make sure our night was perfect. I was skeptical at first with some reviews mentioning that the DJ’s weren’t playing the songs they chose. I immediately reached out and that was informed that it would not be an issue. ALL of our chosen music was played, with some song requests of guests (with bride’s approval, per DJ motiv - loved that). DJ Motiv checked in with us constantly, even to make sure our food was at our table, if we needed drinks, if the music was going well, and if there was anything he could do. He was going above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. I even threw in special requests during my wedding, including him stopping my parent dance half way (on purpose) as if the music turned off, to take the mic and give a short speech. He did it phenomenally. I had a game request, with him being the commentator and director of, and he took that role and ran with it. The wedding guests LOVED him. I have nothing negative to say about his services. Even the photobooth was done great! I also had a custom sign made, with our new last name, and it was perfect! Such a great item to be able keep, and you get a year warranty on it. Anyway, I highly recommend this DJ!! He MADE our wedding perfect. Everyone loved him.”
