Lakeside Occasions is a family-owned wedding barn in the heart of northern Indiana's Amish country. Our historic dairy barn was built in the late 1880's and has been in the family ever since! We call it "The Guernsey" in reference to the type of cows that were milked there. The barn is nestled between picturesque farmland on a peaceful lake in a small village known as Emma.

The Hopewell Barn is located about 1/2 mile south of the historic Hopewell Church. Built in 1872 and purchased by Deb in 2018, the church is listed on National Historic Register for its ties to Gene Stratton Porter. Gene was a famous author in the early 1900’s and the area of ‘Hopewell’ was used as the locale for the settings for several of her books. The name ‘Rustic Barn at Hopewell’ was selected to pay tribute to historic roots of the Hopewell area.

Situated in the heartland of Indiana, conveniently positioned between Ft. Wayne and Indianapolis, Bliss Barn offers a charming backdrop for any memorable celebration. This Husband and Wife team have taken an abandoned bank, a historical blacksmith shop and a farm equipment station and turned them into a one of a kind Venue. Full lush greenhouse like venue with many plants, vines. gardens all wrapped up with an urban hip essence. ! This place is ALIVE - a very unique venue … Truly nothing like it!

Built in 1871, and restored with love, our event center sits on one countryside acre, just minutes from downtown Kalamazoo. Welcome! Our 1850 barn has original hand hewn beams and antique prism chandeliers. There are 4 acres of land with picturesque views overlooking 56 acres. The wedding chapel with chapel bell and windows. The down payment is $1500 cash or check. Rates for 2025/2026 Fridays $4,395 Saturdays $4,995 We are open mid April - mid November.  Closed Sundays. Included 30 handmade Amish tables & chairs, pond w/fountain, outdoor chapel w/church bell, 3 covered porches w/gas fireplace on one, paved parking lot, 2 indoor handicapped bathrooms, & 2 air-conditioned wedding party rooms. We only use The Liquor Cabinet for alcohol. You may bring in your own insured food caterer.
