About this venue

The Hopewell Barn is located about 1/2 mile south of the historic Hopewell Church. Built in 1872 and purchased by Deb in 2018, the church is listed on National Historic Register for its ties to Gene Stratton Porter. Gene was a famous author in the early 1900’s and the area of ‘Hopewell’ was used as the locale for the settings for several of her books. The name ‘Rustic Barn at Hopewell’ was selected to pay tribute to historic roots of the Hopewell area.

    The best reception area!

    We found The Rustic Barn at Hopewell by chance, and it turned out to be exactly what we wanted for our wedding day. From our first conversation with Deb, we knew we were in good hands, she was fast to respond, gave us clear information, and treated us with genuine kindness throughout the whole process. The venue itself is stunning with its rustic charm, cozy atmosphere, and beautiful string lights that made the space feel magical. On the day of our wedding, Deb stayed the entire time to make sure everything ran smoothly, and she was always there whenever we had a question. If you're dreaming of a barn wedding, we cannot recommend this place enough. The combination of Deb's thoughtful service and the venue's natural beauty made our day truly special.
