“We found Bluewater Kings through the preferred vendor list at our venue , and we are so glad we did. They invited us to come hear them play at a live showcase, and we were immediately sold. We booked them that same night. One of the best parts of working with them was the planning process. Their online planning portal made it so easy to update our preferences and make adjustments in the months leading up to the wedding. Molly was incredibly helpful and always quick to respond to any questions we had, which made everything feel seamless and organized. We also used their “iPad DJ” option so we could customize our cocktail hour and dinner playlists, along with a few songs during the band’s breaks. It was the perfect balance of adding our own personal touches while still trusting them to play what they know keeps the energy up. The band itself was amazing. They were so talented, brought great energy, and kept the dance floor packed all night. They really paid attention to the vibe we wanted and delivered exactly that. “My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! “So, our day was falling apart horribly. Sept 7th, 2024. Way before the day started, some bridal party got sick, our coordinator got fired two days before our wedding, our venue didn't have much of what we ordered for decorations. Our last hope was the DJ service, but honestly, we didn't have high hopes. But then, the DJ arrived. He looked serious and got down to business. We told him how it's gonna be a mess and we understand if things didn't go right....it was just the way things were. We had each other right? NO. Our DJ refused to accept our self pitty. He was the calm, understanding, and reassuring part in this disaster of a storm. He said.....and I quote, "good thing I'm trained in coordination and I'm fully prepped. No worries, we got this". I, as the bride.....cried. we didn't have anyone that gave us this reassurance or confidence....till we met the DJ. He took charge, organized the most perfect ceremony, and then just did what it took to get everyone else organized from guests, to venue, to catering company. All we had to do, was have our wedding. We spoke with the guy the week of our wedding. He kept talking about "vision". Heck, I didn't even see what they saw. But the DJ, must have known somehow, because he got that vision and did everything we needed, and wanted. Dinner was beautiful, and things got done! I didn't think a DJ did all that. Then the dance. He announced everything, so all were informed and orchestrated everything and we let it all go and really had a lot of fun and enjoyed everything he played. I'm sure our DJ wanted to have more fun than all the work we out on him, and for that, I'm sorry......but you did one heck of a job!!!!! You turned what was a disaster, righted all the other vendors ships, and sailed yours too! You did the work of multiple companies with just 1 DJ. Unheard of! Most DJs I've seen at weddings just stay behind their music stuff and speakers and don't move. Our DJ broke a sweat. You know what, I hope other have a better wedding experience than we did, but I can tell you, this is a comoany that knows weddings, understands the needs of others, and is very well versed in what they do. And for all that, I'm grateful beyond belief and worth every penny and more. This is the ONLY 5 star review I've given for my wedding and they deserve 15. What a blessing!”

“We booked through Steve upfront and he was so terrific to work with on initial arrangements. Our DJ, Drew, was absolutely fantastic! He handled both our ceremony and reception music, and everything was seamless from start to finish. The ceremony music was perfect, the timing was exactly right, and he helped create the exact feeling we wanted for the day. He used my Spotify playlists as inspiration for our pre-ceremony and cocktail hour music, so those moments felt completely like us and set the perfect vibe from the beginning. For the reception, he did an amazing job reading the room, keeping the energy going, and making sure everything flowed without us ever having to worry about what was happening next. One of the things we appreciated most was how much he cared about making the day personal. He worked behind the scenes with our officiant and friends on a few surprises, and those little moments ended up meaning so much to us. We wanted our wedding to feel relaxed, personal, and like a true celebration with our favorite people, and Drew played such a big part in creating that atmosphere.
