Here at Tunxis, we offer two unique wedding venues:  First is the outdoor Pavilion that you will find nestled in a pine grove.  Spring through Fall, this outdoor escape is perfect for your rustic wedding with up to 300 guests.  The second is the indoor Fireside Dining Room.  Year-round, this cozy tavern space is ideal for weddings with up to 120 guests. 

Created by pioneering artist and professor Harvey Fite, Opus 40 is a world-famous sculpture park and museum with nearly 60 acres of meadows, forested paths and bluestone quarries — including 6.5 acres of earthwork sculpture — in the heart of the Hudson Valley. We welcome guests from April through November, and host live music and theatrical performances — all with the majestic Catskill Mountains as the backdrop. “In a culture of disposability,” notes David Wallis in The New York Times, not only does Opus 40 constitute “what Architectural Digest described as one of ‘the most beguiling works of art on the entire continent,’ but stands as a monument to discipline and hard work.” Considered by many to be the Stonehenge of North America, Opus 40 welcomes more than 20,000 visitors each year. The Altamont Manor, a gracious 1894 restored Victorian manor, offers the perfect setting for your wedding. A private, secluded location with formal gardens, spacious landscaped surroundings, and a spacious dining room with floor to ceiling windows providing beautiful views, all make for an enchanted wedding. Over our many years here, we've restored both the building and it's surroundings. From rebuilding the hundred foot long wrap-around porch, reclaiming long abandoned gardens and planting new ones, we've created a private secluded setting available to share with you all of life's celebrations.

Let our beautiful 400-acre farm be the backdrop to your picturesque Vermont wedding or event. Our raw venue site sits on the side of a mountain, looking back across our family farm’s valleys, fields, and mountains. The site is located on the mountain across from our farmhouse and the area was made to accommodate a large event tent, it is approximately a 60’x200’ area. In addition to our venue site, we also have multiple possible ceremony locations available. Our farm is only a short drive from beautiful Brattleboro, Vermont, allowing accessible lodging for any guests traveling to help you celebrate your special day. With the help of our local and trusted vendors, we can help you create your Vermont dream wedding with our beautiful family farm as your priceless backdrop. A preferred vendor list of caterers, photographers, DJs, rental services, hotels, and more is available upon request.
