“I cannot say enough great things about our experience with Heidi and Monumental Ballroom. My husband already had experience with ballroom dancing, and I was a novice - a self-proclaimed ungraceful person. We did a trial lesson with Heidi, and decided to do a fully choreographed first dance. Heidi was a great instructor, patient and put up with our self-deprecation and distraction at times, and she was really good at explaining the different steps and how they fit together and with the song, and showing us what it should look like.
It was a lot of fun and a great date night that still counted as wedding planning! Sometimes during planning, it's good to get out of the house and stop talking about flowers, food, or tablecloths. Working on a wedding dance was the perfect way for us to do that. After a handful of lessons and practicing at home in the living room, we had a full dance to our song. We both learned a lot in the process, had fun, and I gained some confidence on the dance floor!”
