    Beautiful keepsakes

I absolutely adored my bouquet and the thought of it only living on in photos was very sad. Maha created the most beautiful, unique keepsakes that I will treasure forever. The bookends pay tribute to my love of books and the book page flowers I made for my bouquet. Her work was amazing and she is so sweet and easy to work with.

If you want the best, this is who you need to hire

Designs by Maha Flower Preservation was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. They were super communicative throughout the entire process, taking the time to thoroughly understand exactly what we wanted. Their attention to detail and perfectionist approach really shows in the final product - the flower preservation pieces they created for us are absolutely gorgeous and were worth every penny. I was able to provide her with very specific instructions on how the flowers needed to be handled, and she made sure everything was executed flawlessly. It was a great experience working with Designs by Maha, and I would highly recommend them to any couple looking for stunning, high-quality flower preservation for their special day.

If you're working with a wedding planner and/or florist, I can coordinate getting your flowers with them. We could also coordinate a pick-up or drop-off at my studio in Santa Fe if you'd like to tour the studio and see what I'm currently working on.
To have the most prime resin pieces with the liveliest flowers, I ask that they arrive at my shop no later than 24-48 hours after the wedding. I dry the flowers using a unique technique that preserves the shape perfectly. This process will only work if the flowers are not already wilting. If your event has already passed, I will assess photos of your bouquet and ask that you overnight it. If a bouquet is sent more than 5-6 days after the event, trust me when I say that most of the flowers may not make it, especially with hot temperatures.
As an artist, I'm always up for a challenge, but there are certain florals that do not preserve as well as others...usually any high-moisture flower. I am unable to preserve plants (like succulents) and recommend you remove them from your bouquet, or I can plant them for you if you wish. Berries are also often too juicy to preserve but can sometimes, not always, be used for texture. For both these circumstances clients are encouraged to consider sending faux succulents or berries if they consider them to be a large part of their floral composition.
Some flowers dry darker, such as red roses. Some flowers like lilies and orchids dry very thin and can look translucent once embedded in the resin. Lilies and orchids are very sensitive because they are very thin, so the more they are touched, the more bruising you will see after they’ve been preserved in the resin. You may see some translucent spots, but this is mostly normal for flowers. Some white roses dry more yellow than others and can have a "vintage" look to them. If I had to choose one white rose, I would choose the Tibet white rose because they dry well and the color preserves better than other white roses.
Your costs will include the deposit, which does go towards your order total, shipping your fresh flowers overnight if out of state (plus packing materials), the keepsakes you choose, and shipping your finished collection. The cost to ship your collection depends on how many pieces you order, the total weight, and your location. The average is about $35.
Yes, absolutely. We do in-house, interest-free financing for up to 12 months.
Yes! I work with brides all over the US. If you are getting married outside of the US, you will need to do some research to see if you can bring your flowers back to the US. I have brought back flowers myself from France with no issues. I had one bride who got married in the Bahamas who also brought her bouquet back with her. I have one friend who renewed her vows in Mexico and was not able to bring her flowers back.
No, you do not. My only requirement is that 1. I have your date available, and 2. Your total order is at least $250. There is also a required deposit.
