He took the time to really understand our vision and was super attentive throughout the entire process. “Jonathon was awesome from day one. A very laid-back and chill energy made planning with him feel non-anxious. He made us feel like he had everything under control and that he knew when to accommodate us and when he could use his knowledge to make sure everyone had a great time. In the pre-ceremony, he mixed it up between some pre-selected songs I chose and played some live. I am a musician, so many of our family and friends that were in attendance are all musicians and singers. They all immediately were drawn to his smooth voice and incredible playing. The ceremony went great and had minimal to no tech issues, the sound was clear, he helped us incorporate our musician friends to play a song during the ceremony. He played our First Dance song live, and absolutely knocked it out of the park! We did a small choreographed dance to Love Like This by Ben Rector. His voice was perfect, and I was able to send him an edited version of the song that matched with our dance. He played it flawlessly and the moment was special for my wife and I, and for our guests. During the dinner, he played an acoustic set consisting of covers of 90s-2000s R&B songs, which were a huge hit with us and our guests. He played with a loop pedal and was able to simulate a full band with just his guitar and voice! He had some moving and grooving, singing along during dinner, while others were still able to hold a conversation without distraction. I gave him many songs to include in the dance portion of the night. And while he included MANY of my suggestions, he also knew when to throw in some crowd favorites to keep the party going. The dance floor was PACKED all night, the transitions between each song where seamless, and it became a fun game for my and my friends to try and guess what song he was cueing up next! My wife and I loved every musical moment of the evening, and it was exactly what we dreamed of for that day. All of our guests loved the music, and were so impressed not just with his professionalism and on stage banter with the crowd, but his musicality and rich voice. I have worked as a wedding musician for a few years, and as a gigging musician and singer for much longer. I have always feared that I would spend my wedding day judging the Wedding Band/DJ because of my high standards for live music. Jonathan blew every single one of those expectations out of the water, and he was such a breath of fresh air during a stressful period of wedding planning. I cannot recommend Jonathan Blake Salazar any more for your wedding. He is a dream to work with, and will do an incredible job performing, Emceeing, and DJing your special day!”

“Lark and her performance made our wedding reception into the unforgettable night we wanted and more. It was a dance party and sing-along like no other wedding we (or our friends) had seen before. It was perfect from start to finish. And when I say start, I really mean it. We met Lark a year before our wedding when she just so happened to be playing at the dueling piano bar where I proposed to my wife with Lark's last minute help. It was her perfect rendition of Bruno Mars's "Marry You" (which she learned on the spot) that really made the proposal perfect. We stayed in touch and were thrilled to learn that she played wedding receptions. We were even more thrilled when we realized that her very reasonable prices actually fit in our budget. Throughout the wedding planning, Lark was so accommodating. She was responsive to all our requests, made helpful suggestions, and was incredibly flexible as we were constantly changing timelines and floor plans. She was even more amazing on the day of the reception. Our biggest fear was that people would not dance at our wedding (smallish wedding with a very plain venue) but those fears immediately subsided as soon as Lark kicked off the night. She was our MC, vocalist, and obviously an amazing piano player. From the first note of "Livin' On A Prayer" to the last note of "Don't Stop Believing," the dance floor was packed and our guests loved every second. We lost count of how many people told us "best dance party ever!" To top it off, halfway through the night Lark presented us with the exact request card I gave her the night I proposed to my wife over a year earlier. She had it saved in a small frame so that we could keep it forever, which brings me to my last point. Lark will provide great entertainment no doubt, but what really sets her apart is the heart that she put into each event. We will cherish the memories we made with her forever and can't wait for an excuse to hire her again!”

Such a special touch. Our DJ, Cale, absolutely nailed it. Our friends were on the dance floor the entire night, the songs were spot on what we wanted and his communication with us prior to and during the wedding made us feel so confident and comfortable. Second song as a whole was SO easy to work with, organized and timely, we didn’t run into any hiccups with musicians, equipment, lighting, the Photo Booth - everything was perfect!!!”
