“I had the pleasure of dancing my rear off to JMAN’s musical stylings this past year in Frisco, CO. He had the entire venue up and on their feet, not one person seated the whole time. It seemed like a true show without taking away from the special night; the focus was still on the VIPs. I especially liked the curation of the music. It had something for everybody without being cookie-cutter pop stuff. Every song blended well into the next, the mixes were spot on, and there were absolutely no lulls in the set. I had the unique experience of seeing behind the scenes and getting to see all that goes in to JMAN shows— the top-of-the-line equipment, lights, mics, backup supplies (crucial). It seemed like every potential pitfall was accounted for which shows forethought and experience! Everyone there kept going on all night about how great the music and dancing was. What started as late nights of live funk on Chicago's club stages became a decade-long obsession with making every wedding feel like the best concert you've ever been to. Family-owned since 2014, we're a collection of Chicago's finest voices and players, and your night should sound like you — not the wedding down the street. No generic playlists. Every setlist is built from scratch. We scale from 6 to 15 pieces with ceremony strings, cocktail jazz, DJ hybrids, photo booths, and lighting, plus a music app that makes planning easy. Hundreds of weddings in, a full dance floor still gets us.

“Funktastic Productions Llc. was an absolute hit at our wedding! From the very first interaction, their communication was quick, friendly, and super detailed - they clearly cared about making our day perfect. And that's exactly what they delivered. I chose to have live piano and violin at my ceremony and they sounded beautiful together. They played every song I requested with depth and precision- even the fairly new music (I requested Birds of a Feather for the recessional, and they NAILED it!) They provided mics to the musicians and the officiant stand, which ended up being a lifesaver for us. The DJ and violinist were both fun and talented, keeping the dance floor packed all night long. DJ Servaun in particular did an amazing job matching the vibes, emceeing, and balancing in the moment song requests with a killer playlist. Get the DJ with Musician accompaniment package!! “Working with Joey was an unbelievable pleasure. My now husband and I were quite nervous about hiring a DJ (naturally given it was our first time!), but the second I found and spoke to Joey over the phone in an introductory call, I knew we were in good hands. His warmth, charisma and incredible professional experience was apparent, even during those first few minutes. Joey is an unbelievably talented performer (he played live cello at our ceremony) and a well seasoned DJ. What we didn’t know when we first hired him, was just how much help Joey would be in helping us schedule and orchestrate the flow of our full wedding. We had multiple calls and meetings, well before the wedding day, where Joey kept us informed and confident all throughout. He helped us coordinate the music not only to the most important parts of the wedding, but also to all in the in-betweens, making sure that good vibes were always flowing throughout the whole thing. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better person to make it all happen. Joey is also someone who is incredibly organized and pays great attention to detail and timing. He kept things moving (even though that was outside the scope of his work) and made sure everything was on schedule. Even when we ended up going overtime (not to the fault of Joey but family getting too carried away with speeches!), Joey quickly and expertly adjusted his set and made the final dance party something we will never forget. “If you're looking for a wedding DJ with great energy, the ability to keep everyone dancing, keep your event flowing and meet the mood of your guests, DJ Shane is the man for the job! The first time we talked to him on the phone we could tell he was going to match our vibe and deliver the wedding we were wanting. We had no idea what we were doing, but he kept us organized and suggested different things that helped us stay on track with different aspects of the wedding. Shane traveled all the way to Fairview for our wedding last weekend, which was not a short drive by any means. He was very fair with pricing, especially with how far he had to travel. Not only did he time our ceremony perfectly with smooth transitions between songs, but he also kept our guests informed of what was happening, without it feeling like he was telling them what to do. He was able to help keep our stress levels low by checking in with us at the right times, working with the maid of honor for certain things and even keeping an eye on the weather. Shane excused tables during dinner at even intervals to ensure there wasn't a long line or people waiting for too long. Speeches and dances were done at the best times throughout the night and he kept everyone engaged and having fun. His ability to read the room and flow through different genres at the right moment is incredible. Fitting in requests from seven year olds seems like it would be impossible, but Shane did it with ease and made the kids feel comfortable enough to keep requesting more. He even had his drone out recording and catching incredible views of the venue, ceremony and reception. It felt more like a friend was DJing for us, not someone we found online and we couldn't have been happier with the outcome. We recommend DJ Shane one hundred times over!”

“We always knew we wanted a live band at our wedding, and Soul Siren absolutely delivered. They brought so much energy to the night and made our reception feel like a real celebration. They are incredibly talented musicians and performers, and having live music added something to our wedding that a playlist or DJ simply couldn’t have replicated. Our guests had such a great time, the dance floor was full, and we received so many compliments about the band throughout the night and afterward. Like any live event, there were a few little things behind the scenes that didn’t go exactly as planned, but honestly, no one noticed—Soul Siren are professionals and knew how to keep the night moving and make it work. My biggest piece of advice for future couples is just to be very clear and specific ahead of time about the songs that are most important to you and exactly how you’d like them performed. Give them that direction, and then let them do what they do best. We are so glad we chose Soul Siren. They helped create the fun, energetic, memorable reception we had pictured, and looking back, having a real live band was one of our favorite decisions we made for the wedding.
