I’ve been a full-time entertainer for over a decade. I started as an emcee for my college campus events, got a job at the school radio station, did two radio internships with Riverbend Communications in Idaho Falls and KSL in Salt Lake City. I built a career as an on-air radio host on stations like Z103 in East Idaho and Wild 101 in Boise. As more and more people requested me to DJ their weddings, I decided to fully invest in the mobile DJ side of my business and here we are. I work year-round honing my skills as one of Idaho's top mobile DJs.

Poverty Flats is a 4-piece blues/rock band based out of Meridian, ID. We offer up to 3 hours of live music and perform a mix of originals and covers by artists such as Chris Stapleton, Jimi Hendrix, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and more. A song list is available upon request. Our prices vary based on the number of hours of live music, if ceremony music or other equipment is needed, special requests, and travel distance to venue. Please contact us with any questions!

Merinda Starnes has performed as a solo, orchestra, and ensemble musician since 2007. She received her degree in harp performance from the University of Utah studying under Dr. Cathy Clayton.
