Hey, I’m DJ KOOLROD — a music lover, crowd reader, and energy creator. I’ve been DJing for years, and what drives me is seeing people come together through music. My name is Russell and I am a full-time recording and performing artist. I do both solo and full band shows every weekend and would love to play for your event! I include genres ranging from indie rock and pop, to folk and country. I have music released as well, so originals can be a part of the set! I have't done many weddings before, but I've done many shows and would love the opportunity to enhance your event with great tunes and an exciting atmosphere!

I have been playing harp for over 50 years. I love to play for weddings and receptions in the Central Texas area and have been doing so since 1970. I am a retired Biology teacher, having taught for 22 years. After I retired I started teaching the Suzuki Method to young people and adults and I find this very rewarding. I have lived in the Killeen/Harker Heights for 41 years. My husband, Dennis, and I have one son and two grandchildren. I have played with the Temple Symphony, the Temple College Orchestra, the Central Texas Master Singers, and I was in the TCU Orchestra when I attended college.
