Drumore Mill is a different world. It is nestled in a corner of the most rustic township in Amish Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The mill was built in 1752 as a sawmill and a grist mill. It sits in a hollow with 30 acres of tall cliffs and old trees to provide privacy, warmth, and natural beauties. There is a pristine creek that meanders through the property. The Fishing Creek supports native trout and other rare small fishes. The waterfall is adjacent to the buildings. There is a hiking trail within the property. There is wetland and much more. The combination of rustic setting, natural beauties, and historical features makes Drumore Mill amazingly beautiful. One has to see it to believe it.

Where do I even begin?? The Drumore Mill is an oasis. Surrounded by farm land and nestled in a dark green wood, it feels like you’ve entered into a fairytale land. The moment my fiancé (now husband!) and I stepped onto the Drumore Mill property, we knew we needed to exchange our vows here. We got married in the Grist Mill beside the waterfall. I always wanted an indoor/outdoor wedding but hated the idea of a tent wedding. The Grist Mill building is an open air but covered area with tall wooden beams and lots of open windows to allow sunlight in. Thuy was a pleasure to work with throughout my long engagement. She answered all my questions and even showed up the day of my wedding to wash windows at the reception barn! You can tell she really cares about the Drumore Mill. Look, there are a lot of places you can get married. But the Drumore Mill is special because you can return to it. They have charming rustic houses on property you can stay in. You can host a family reunion or a smaller vow renewal ceremony or just go on an anniversary trip there. How many other couples do you know who can stay the night at the place they got married? Because that’s what my husband and I did. We spent our wedding night on property, steps away from where we exchanged vows. We got to wake up the next morning and walk the beautiful grounds of the Drumore Mill taking in all the scenery and relive the memories from the day prior. One of our guests approached my husband during the wedding and said “I want my daughters to get married here”. You can’t get a better compliment than that! So in short, if you’re looking for a one of a kind place, where nature and architecture blend together, and you can return there to reminisce with loved ones—then consider the Drumore Mill. We truly could not have asked for a better experience than what we had with Alaina Rineman and the team at Hotel Gettysburg. Together, they made our wedding weekend seamless, stress-free, and truly unforgettable. Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming, but Alaina made the entire process feel manageable and even enjoyable. From the very beginning, Alaina was phenomenal. She responded to my initial inquiry within minutes and remained just as attentive throughout the entire planning process. She was always available to answer questions, walk through details, and offer thoughtful suggestions. She really took the time to get to know us as a couple, which made her suggestions feel personal and meaningful. On the wedding day, Alaina handled everything behind the scenes flawlessly. Any hiccups were taken care of immediately, and we never felt stressed or distracted. She also went above and beyond for our guests, especially ensuring accommodations for those staying at the hotel and even arranging a to-go meal for a guest observing a religious fast. That level of care meant so much to us. Hotel Gettysburg itself was the perfect venue. Located right in the heart of downtown, it offered a beautiful mix of historic charm and convenience. Our guests loved being able to walk around the square, and the hotel provided so many great gathering spaces—including One Lincoln, the Hotel’s own bar and restaurant. The on-site Starbucks was also a huge bonus! The on-site catering was also exquisite. We chose to do a buffet and the food choices were all delicious! Many of our guests returned for second and third helpings of the entrees. The highlight for me is how incredibly picture-worthy the Hotel is, with stunning spots both inside and outside (the bank vault in the ballroom was a favorite!) for amazing wedding photos. Even with nearly 200 guests, the space allowed for comfortable mingling and dancing. The bridal suite and thoughtful touches like packaged cake slices, chocolate-covered fruit, and souvenir champagne glasses made us feel so special. Pro Tip: I also highly recommend working with Visit Gettysburg. They provided free welcome packets for our guests filled with brochures, discounts, and even kid-friendly items, which enhanced the experience for our guests that stayed the full weekend. Because of Alaina, I felt completely at ease and confident that everything was in good hands. When I look back on our wedding day, she is absolutely part of those memories—not just as a coordinator, but as someone who helped make the day feel so special. We chose Wildflower Estates as our wedding venue and opted for the Bridal Boutique all-inclusive package since we planned our wedding in less than four months. For a short timeline, the all-inclusive option definitely helped simplify planning and reduce stress. The venue itself is a beautiful modern barn style with several ceremony site options and lovely scenery that makes for a great backdrop. They do offer a backup plan for rain or high winds, which is appreciated, but it’s not ideal for larger weddings (over 40 guests), they move it inside and can only provide seating for about 35 guests so that’s something couples may want to think through. There were several highlights to our experience. Our planner/coordinator (Eventfully Yours) was wonderful. Angie & Kristen were organized, kind, and supportive. The photographer turned out to be amazing and captured our day beautifully. We didn’t know who our florist would be until the day of so I wasn’t able to find or look at a portfolio beforehand, which was nerve-wracking, but thankfully they exceeded expectations. The bartender, Cory also stood out; as the bride and groom, we never had an empty drink. He paid attention to us all night and made sure we were taken care of first, which we really appreciated. There are also some things future couples should know. There is no food tasting beforehand. The cocktail hour food was great, but the main course was disappointing. There is also only one cake/dessert vendor option, which limits personalization. Vendor flexibility is something we wish had been stronger. In hindsight, we might have preferred choosing vendors individually or having multiple vendor options to choose from within the package. Our DJ unfortunately did not meet expectations. The bridal suite is very nice, but for the price point it would be helpful to have a space for the men to get ready onsite as well. A steamer available for day-of use would also be a thoughtful addition. One of the biggest stress points was invoicing for the bar/alcohol. Due to a billing oversight on their end, they were trying to collect payment the morning of our wedding while I was getting ready. That felt inconsiderate and added unnecessary stress to an already busy day. While the package is all-inclusive, there are still behind-the-scenes logistics, and I didn’t feel it should have been my responsibility to stay on top of their billing timeline. Overall, Wildflower Estates provides a beautiful setting and a convenient planning option, especially for couples on a shorter timeline. With better vendor options, clearer billing processes, and a few added amenities, the experience could be even stronger for future couples.

Our wedding at Brittingham Farms Lavender & Lambs was everything we hoped for and more. From our first conversation, the owner made us feel heard and never pushed back on any of our ideas, she was flexible and genuinely understood what we wanted for our day. She went above and beyond to help us, bending over backwards on details both big and small, and honestly made us feel like we'd known her forever. The outdoor space is sprawling and gorgeous, with a wholesome charm that made our celebration feel special and intimate at the same time. We can't recommend this venue enough to other couples looking for a beautiful place with someone who truly cares about making your day perfect.

The Anchorage was amazing! My wife and I got married here last June, and to say everything was perfect would be an understatement. It's hard to put into words explaining how great Woody and Michelle were helping us make our special day go exactly as planned. The property is beautiful, spacious, and well kept. The waterfront view was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony (Woody even went out of his way to make an aisle of sand for us to walk down). The cigar shack was awesome and the barn was also set up for me and my groomsmen to get ready and hang out until the big moment (they especially enjoyed the darts, ring and hook, and bar with a kegerator). My family and I were very happy with the rooms which were spotless, comfortable, and included refrigerators/kitchenettes. My wife was very happy with her space to get ready, especially with Michelle doing everything she could ensuring the girls had what they needed and making sure everyone was stress free! Woody and Michelle were more than accommodating. Breakfast was always delicious (the smoothies and Woodys Waffles were my favorites). They were also life savers dealing with our vendors dropping stuff off (at times earlier than expected), even using their golf cart to help move stuff down to the beach to help set up. The golf cart also came in handy taxing people up and down the hill when needed! I HIGHLY recommend this venue! Woody and Michelle are two of the most kind, accommodating (and hilarious) people I've ever met, and I can't begin to thank them enough for everything they did to make sure our special day went off without a hitch. We fully intend on coming back to enjoy their beautiful BnB again!

The communication with Ashore Resort & Beach Club was good, but the quality of their work and overall value was beautiful. They helped make our wedding day special by providing an on-site ice cream bar that we didn't need to find a separate vendor for. However, they did not have chairs for our outdoor ceremony due to the wind earlier that morning, which caused a bit of guests complaining about having to stand during the 15 minute ceremony. Our guests had said that they didn’t see why they couldn’t have set up the chairs as they walked out since the wind wasn’t blowing before the ceremony started.

We got married at the end of May 2025 and had about 80 guests attend our wedding and welcome event both hosted by the Addy Sea, with about 30 family/friends staying with us at the Inn for the weekend. When we started looking, we didn’t want something that was just a beautiful place for a few hours for the ceremony/reception, we wanted a full weekend experience that felt like a beach getaway with our closest family and friends. That’s exactly what The Addy Sea gave us. The Inn and its rooms are absolutely stunning, but what truly made our experience unforgettable was how the team went above and beyond for us. About six weeks before the wedding, I was struggling to find a location for our rehearsal dinner and welcome party that matched my vision. The Addy Sea stepped in without hesitation to host, and it turned out perfect. I loved that our guests got a chance to experience the venue before the big day, which made everything feel even more special. The wedding day exceeded all my expectations. Even when hail started pouring down just two hours before the ceremony, Katie Duke and the Addy Sea team were right there, working their magic just like they had been all weekend. Their calm, professionalism, and attention to detail made everything come together perfectly, no matter what surprises came our way. A few highlights: The Addy Sea team brought us breakfast on the wedding morning, and we sat on the porch overlooking the ocean, reading our vows together - it was the perfect start to the day. Another favorite moment was when the team joined our guests for a conga line, bringing the best energy to the party. And after our afterparty, we came back to a sweet note with leftovers and treats for a late night snack. It was the perfect end to an amazing day. The Irish Eyes was the perfect spot for our wedding! Jenn and her crew were so wonderful! Jen was so easy to communicate with and kept he wedding moving smoothly. The space is just perfect. It feels beachy without being too much. The patio area is light, the wall of windows adds so much natural lighting. It's right on the canal and probably a couple of blocks from the ocean. So getting an array of pictures was great!

I don't have enough good things to say about KD and the Team at Wylder Hotel Tilghman Island! Everything from our first visit to The Wylder, to the morning after our wedding and beyond was amazing! My husbands family has owned a home just outside of Tilghman Island for years, it was my dream to get married in the area and The Wylder was the perfect place! We visited every time we came to St. Michaels and each time I found something more to love about The Wylder! The venue is a perfect space to have all of your favorite people together for your entire wedding weekend and the location is stunning! All of our guests were raving about how gorgeous The Wylder was and how much fun our entire wedding weekend was because of all that The Wylder has to offer! We got married on November 1st, which meant out welcome party fell on Halloween! The kids from our wedding were able to trick or treat with our family and friends at the bungalows and the groom and his friends were able to spend the morning enjoying Splash City Golf, which was a HUGE HIT! As a bride, KD was a DREAM to work with! She answered every email and phone calls so quickly and was so patient with all of my questions and last minute needs!! She made absolutely everything run so smoothly for us!! On our wedding day she made sure everything I needed was done! We truly cannot recommend The Wylder enough!
