Greate Bay Country Club was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication style was organized, thorough, and professional throughout the entire planning process. The quality of their work and overall value was exceptional - the venue was clean, beautiful, and incredibly well-kept. On our special day, the venue looked absolutely gorgeous, and the staff, led by the amazing Danielle, were 5 steps ahead of us the entire time, keeping us on track. The day after the wedding, the venue staff had already organized all of our belongings together, making it super easy for us to pick everything up. And our guests raved about the delicious food! I would highly recommend Greate Bay Country Club to any couple looking for a stunning, stress-free wedding venue.

Rachael and her team were absolutely amazing for our wedding whenever I had a question about the venue I knew I would get a very quick response from Rachael days leading up to the wedding. We kept our eye out on the forecast, hoping to have the ceremony outside in the garden however, with the rain we had to have it inside, but it was still absolutely perfect, they were able to get it, so that way you didn’t see everything underneath the tent during the ceremony and most of the time you didn’t even know they were there.

I can't speak enough about how easy it was to work with everyone at 26 West. They let us tweak the menu for our rehearsal dinner, and with views of the Navesink from upstairs it was a great night. The service was spot on, and in a day and age where there is a shortage of staff, they made sure everything was taken care of. Anything that anyone else needed they were on top of.

Megan, the director, is an absolutely dream to work with. quick responses, explains everything clearly, a sweetheart. Hotel is super clean, the food is amazing and the staff were lovely. The Maitre De went missing a lot throughout the day, to the point where my uncle had to find her whenever i needed. They set up & cleaned everything up for us which was lovely. the hotel bar stayed open late (sunday wedding) but you couldn’t make it private. so you had people at the bar trying to add to an open tab. you get a room block, the director of rooms Rebecca is very easy to work with as well. the outdoor ceremony space is gorgeous!!! Simply put, Falco’s Catering goes above and beyond. Alissa was who we met with first - so thorough, easy and fun to communicate with, super accommodating, and transparent from start to finish. It was such a warm welcome from our first meeting, so we knew this was our spot and these were the people to work with! The event itself went off without a hitch. The food was top notch!! All of our guests were clearly enjoying it all. We did not have to worry about a thing thanks to Lisa, our Maitre d! We danced the night away! Such an amazing time. I had my wedding on 9/26/25 and the venue looked so beautiful! Even better than when I toured it back in November. Carmela and Mona were so helpful and accommodating during the planning process. There were so many last minute changes and hiccups like transportation vendors falling through, but Carmela was able to help me book last minute transportation that was even bigger than I was expecting! Everything went so much better than I imagined and all the guests were so impressed with the venue and food! Evette (I hope I’m spelling her name right) was my bridal attendant the day of. She was fantastic, made sure I was no longer on my phone, helped with transportation throughout the venue and kept me calm during the ceremony. I can’t thank them enough for making this day so special!

We had our wedding at El Caribe on 08/26/2023 and our wedding day was perfect! My wife legitimately cried when she entered the Tiara ballroom. It was the only time she cried the entire day... she didn’t even shed a tear at the church lol. It well more than exceeded our expectations. Cocktail hour was incredible! My wife and I didn’t attend cocktail hour but we were able to see some photos from our guests and it was unbelievable! Cocktail hour included a lobster wall, an oyster shucking station, fresh mozzarella being made fresh in front of your eyes… it was incredible. We wish we had attended our cocktail hour just to view everything in person but we knew that we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy any of the food if we did (as we would have been approached by everyone trying to talk to us and wish us congratulations). Instead we enjoyed all the food being served at the cocktail hour in a separate private room. The staff and service was incredible! Alan was super attentive. He made sure that we stayed hydrated and were able to actually enjoy the food from our cocktail hour and dinner. During our private cocktail hour, Alan dressed my wife in a white tablecloth (so she didn’t spill anything on her dress) and was attending to our every needs. One of my groomsmen’s wives joined us in our private room (she was pregnant and we welcomed her to join us so she could be comfortable) and she commented how awesome and attentive the staff was and how the staff at her venue practically forgot about her wedding (we didn’t ask for her to elaborate lol). Similarly Ashley (the bridal attendant) and George were awesome as well! The MOH was struggling to bustle my wife’s dress and Ashley just took over and bustled it up quickly! I would highly suggest El Caribe for your wedding venue! After attending my wedding my cousin (who experienced El Caribe for the first time at my wedding) booked his wedding at El Caribe shortly afterwards. Also, your cake from Aliotta Pastry Shop is included when you book with El Caribe and the cake was phenomenal.

This wedding venue is beautiful and has a spacious parking lot which is convenient for Brooklyn. There were so many appetizers and the guests really enjoyed their food. Richie Jr. is THE BEST person you could work with (easy to talk to and knowledgeable) and trust to handle all of the details. For example, we didn’t initially like the cake with the bakery they worked with but they spoke with them to custom-make it to our taste so it was delicious. Plus my husband is gluten free and once we provided the gluten-free bread crumbs, Richie worked with the chef to make some appetizers work for him. The packages were also really reasonably priced and it came with valet parking, doorman, hostess, master of ceremonies, maitre d’, head waiter, etc. They have multiple event rooms (the second floor is also going to be renovated in 2022 but I wish they would take the old red carpeting in the Patrician room - where we were since it is outdated). In the Patrician Room, we did have placement issues with the TV and cold sparkler machines so my advice for the couple is not to have the DJ in the back corner, have them closer to the dais on the right or left hand side so the lights and other tech will be worth it and if the cold sparklers are in the back corner, we can’t take pics with it but if they are in the front they set off the fire alarms so I hope this doesn’t happen with the other event rooms in terms of layout. The ladies restroom/powder room is really nice but the men’s restroom is outdated and painted green so it could use an update. But amazing chandeliers and there is also a small garden by the side area in case people want to go out for some air. Overall, you’ll have a great wedding planning experience and it’s an affordable venue with good food.

We had our heart set on Strong Rope as the perfect spot for our wedding after party, and reached out to the team more than a year in advance. Even though they don't officially book until six months beforehand, Katie gave us all the information that we needed and when the 6-month window arrived we were already set with all of our options. They often do wedding after parties and have a specific package, which was relatively inexpensive. The team was easy to work with - they even helped put out some of our snacks! The beers are always good, and they loaded up our Spotify playlist. The beertenders were great. We'd highly recommend them for wedding afterparties, but honestly, would do so for any event!

Not to mention the space itself/location is GORGEOUS….but funny enough, we booked the space for the insane views of NYC, but happened to get the foggiest day of December - it. Did. Not. Matter. !!! Prospect Park Picnic House was the perfect venue for our intimate wedding. The beautiful location, with a couple parking passes for our vendors and guests, was ideal for our small celebration. If you have a larger party in mind, parking may be more difficult, though it worked for us. On the day of, the staff kept the venue secure, answered all of our questions, and even help lit the indoor fireplace which was a lovely touch. The venue was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. Leading up to the event they were patient in helping us work through the process of securing insurance permits from all of our vendors, which was a requirement. This space was a true blank slate that we were able to transform exactly how we wanted. A huge perk was that they had a lot of furniture and decor already available in-house, including some beautiful large plants that we loved incorporating. The outdoor space and parking lot were also huge benefits for us and our guests. Overall, this venue was an incredible value and we couldn't have been happier with how our wedding day turned out at Shell's Loft Red Hook.

Nundiah is such a pleasure to work with. As a small wedding photographer, I was genuinely excited to photograph a wedding at Atrium82. The space has beautiful, natural light and sits on the perfect quiet corner of Downtown Brooklyn. My couple was married here this past fall, and we were able to use the surrounding neighborhood for portraits, along with the front steps for family photos—everything flowed so naturally. Atrium82 is ideal for small, intimate ceremonies, especially if you want a setting that feels thoughtful and unfussy. It’s also important to me to partner with inclusive vendors, and Nundiah truly leads with care. She offers flexible packages that work beautifully for small groups, whether you’re hosting just a ceremony or both your ceremony and dinner. The Prospect Park Boathouse was our absolute dream venue and the perfect setting for our big day! We had been torn between having a wedding more in nature or more in the city, and the Boathouse was the perfect blend between the two. Although the food wasn't our top priority, it ended up being a highlight of the day (especially the bacon wrapped dates). Throughout planning, Elena was very communicative and quick to respond to any email or question we had. Many of our guests commented on how elegant and classic New York the Boathouse was as a venue, and that's exactly what made us fall in love with it in the first place. We're also very excited that they recently opened a cafe out of the Boathouse during the day as well so that we can go back and relive our special day over and over again. A big thank you to Elena and the rest of the Purslane team for making our special day absolutely perfect!

Venue considerations

Our experience with CBH was nothing short of perfect! We had a small 54-person cocktail hour and reception, both in the Othmer Library, and we could not have dreamed of a more perfect space. The overall atmosphere of the library was incredible, and we leaned hard into the old-world feel of the space. Our guests were in awe when they walked in, and the fact that we were able to be involved every step of the way made it so special. CBH works exclusively with Purslane as their caterer, and all communication was done through Purslane, who are also amazing and make fabulous food. (We had many raving guests.) They also help arrange all the rentals, create the run of show, and ensure the night is running along as planned, which it did! A few things we weren't expecting: - The library itself is on the smaller side, so if you want to have dinner and dancing there, you're looking at 60 people tops. This worked out fine for us with plenty of room for a dance floor, but we did have to significantly cut our guest list. - Since the building is a historical landmark, no food or drink that could stain (red sauce, red wine, coffee, etc.) was allowed. This never bothered us, and none of our guests even noticed since we had a fully stocked bar and incredibly delicious food. - We were required to hire a professional day-of coordinator. This was not part of our budget, so be prepared if it's not in yours either. We ended up working with Mostest since they were the least expensive service we could find, and they were amazing. It turned out to be so useful to have our DOC there, so we're happy this rule was imposed, as it led to a seamless night! - The library set up a new exhibit a few weeks before our wedding in the Fransioli Gallery where we were to have our cocktail hour, and we did not know what it would constitute until a few weeks out. We ended up deciding the contents of the exhibit weren't very well suited to a wedding, and CBH/Purslane were incredibly accommodating, offering to put up pipe and drape or move the cocktail hour. We chose to move it to be in the Othmer and were so happy with that decision. Overall, CBH is a 10/10! Our wedding felt like a dream, and anything we had to sacrifice was far outweighed by the stunning space. We would highly recommend CBH as a venue if you're looking for a more intimate night with immaculate vibes!
