Zara was great from the very first day I reached out to the time I received my pictures. The quality of her work was amazing, even better than expected. Zara was not only a photographer, she was also asking if I needed any additional help. She was also keeping in touch up to the night before our special day to make sure everything was ready to go! Your wedding day is your most significant chapter, and it deserves to be captured with uncompromising care. Based in Los Angeles, I am a photographer dedicated to an authentic, refined aesthetic, acting as both observer and guide. I specialize in a hybrid approach—marrying digital clarity with the romantic nuances of film—to produce images that feel both grounded and elevated. I focus on preserving the raw, unposed beauty of your day, ensuring you remain fully present to enjoy your once-in-a-lifetime celebration.

From our first conversation with Leah, we knew we had found our photographer. She was quick to respond to questions and made us feel heard throughout the entire planning process. On our wedding day, Leah brought a calm energy that put us at ease, and she worked with us to capture the shots we wanted while also catching candid moments we'll treasure forever. Her photos are detailed and professional, showing how invested she is in her clients. We cannot recommend Leah enough—she's an absolute gift to Santa Barbara, and we would work with her again in a heartbeat.

I don’t even know where to begin—ConneryFilm exceeded every expectation we had. From the first email to the final delivery of our wedding photos, everything was handled with so much care, professionalism, and heart. Connery has an incredible gift for turning real-life moments into cinematic memories. What really impressed us was how he paid attention to the little things—a subtle look, a soft smile, a quick laugh—things we didn’t even realize he had caught until we saw the final photos. And let me just say, the editing was flawless. The tones, the lighting, the composition... every image looked like it belonged in a magazine. Beyond the artistry, Connery was just amazing to work with—friendly, responsive, and calm under pressure. He made us feel comfortable and at ease and somehow made the whole experience feel effortless. If you’re lucky enough to book him, do it. You’re not just hiring a photographer—you’re investing in memories that will bring tears to your eyes for years to come. ConneryFilm is truly one of a kind.

Indigo West
Rating: 5.0 (10 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,900
  • Serves Hawaiian Gardens, CA

I took up photography at the ripe age of 11 with a Polaroid I borrowed from an aunt. It quickly became my sketchbook as I worked to capture stills of the world and people around me. Those images have continued to pay emotional dividends throughout my life, helping me better understand what I have now come to see through a new scope. They are grounding, melancholic, funny and beautiful. Some of my most cherished possessions.

Awarded Best of Zola
Choosing Daniel from Indigo West as our wedding photographer was hands down one of the best decisions we made. From our first conversation, we loved his calm, thoughtful demeanor and his organic, artistic approach to capturing the day. His eye for composition and detail is exceptional and the photos truly tell a story. As a same-sex couple, we wanted someone who could move beyond traditional wedding clichés, capture the grandeur of our museum venue (complete with dinosaur skeletons) while making it feel intimate, and handle dark, dramatic spaces. Daniel did all of that and more. He captured the energy, emotion, laughter, and joy of the day beautifully. Daniel was efficient but never rushed. He was professional yet playful, and it felt like he immediately understood our dynamic as a couple and with our guests. We trusted his vision completely, and it absolutely shows in the photos. Most importantly, Daniel brought such a fun, relaxed energy—it never felt like he was just doing a job. We can’t recommend him enough.

Randall de Leon Photography
Rating: 5.0 (51 reviews)
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Hawaiian Gardens, CA

Photography has always been a lifelong passion of mine, I picked up my first camera as a gift from my dad when I was 14 years old. Never in a million years would I have thought that my lifelong hobby could eventually become my career. I focused on my future, working my way through college and grad school to achieve my license to practice, but a part of me realized that I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to go on adventures and meet a lot of new people. So in 2019, I took that risk, changed my hours from full time to part time and put more focus on my photography. I booked my first gig later that year and have never looked back.

Awarded Best of Zola
10/10 would recommend randall!! We booked him for our engagement shoot and wedding and we are beyond appreciative and impressed. RDL is the only photographer my husband and I could agree on. We liked his photography style, the quality of the work, the price, and his personality. He even guided us with the timeline to make the most of the time and photography. For both the engagement shoot and wedding day, he guided us and made us feel comfortable. We’re def not models but he made us look great! We were able to get some posed shots and some Candids. He was PATIENT with us and didn’t make us feel awkward at all. The day of the wedding, I got so many compliments from our families with how they appreciated his presence. He kindly directed people and was patient with us and our guests. Def professional guy and just honestly a good personality. He’s also priced well. Def recommend booking a consult and booking him for your events!! You won’t regret it

Bedrosian Photo
Rating: 5.0 (37 reviews)
  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $1,500
  • Serves Hawaiian Gardens, CA

I’m Peter, the guy behind Bedrosian Photo. I photograph weddings, people, parties, emotion, chaos, and all the weird little moments in between. I care way more about honesty than perfection — the nervous energy before a ceremony, your drunk uncle on the dance floor, your grandma crying quietly in the corner, or the split-second look your partner gives you when they think nobody’s watching. Those moments matter more than anything staged ever could.

Awarded Best of Zola
Peter from Bedrosian Photo was an absolute pleasure to work with on our wedding day. He didn't get in our way at all, allowing us to enjoy the moment, but still captured all the standard posed shots as well as incredible candid moments that we didn't even realize he was capturing. The quality of his work is amazing - it's so clean and the attention to detail is incredible. He really nailed capturing all the in-between moments that most photographers claim they can get but often miss. Peter and his entire video team were a well-oiled machine, working seamlessly together to deliver a final product that feels more like watching a sports team than a typical photo/video team. We couldn't be happier with the memories they helped us create on our special day.

Aladdin Films Studio - For more than 20 years, we've been changing the Wedding Video industry, making every viewer watch and listen to our couples' love story, with their heart and soul. Leave it to us and make the 2nd best decision of your life, after choosing to marry your loved one, of course :)

Awarded Best of Zola
We recently received our photos and video package from Aladdin Films and we couldn't be happier with the results. Their documentary film was extraordinary—it let us relive our wedding day in a way that felt genuine and special. The team responded quickly to all our questions and kept everything professional from start to finish, which made the planning process smooth. Towards the end of the night, we realized we never signed our marriage license. When I asked Ali if they could stay for a few extra minutes to capture those moments, they agreed without hesitation. All our photos and videos came back on time and are truly beautiful. One thing we wish is that they had been a bit more assertive when organizing our family photos as we didn't end up with every shot/ family groupings requested on our list. We do have a larger family which can also lead towards more chaos as you can imagine. Of course part of this was a timing issue as all photos with bride and groom together needed to be done within cocktail hour as we did not do a first look. Overall, Aladdin Films delivered exactly what we needed to remember our special day and we were absolutely thrilled with our choice to work with them. I would definitely recommend Ali and the team going forward.

Rivelle Media was an incredible choice for our wedding photography. From the moment we booked them, Mark and Ksenia were efficient, helpful, and extremely timely in their communication. On the day of the wedding, they put us at ease with their clear directions and attentive, caring approach. We were a bit anxious about taking professional photos, but they made us feel safe and comfortable. Mark and Ksenia were early to the venue and jumped right in, taking detail shots and planning out the itinerary. I’m Adam—a Boston native who’s now roaming around California photographing everything I see. When I’m not behind the camera you can usually find me in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, sipping a dirty martini with friends, jamming to Taylor Swift in the car, or taking my rescue pup Ollie to the park or on long neighborhood walks. I got my first film camera when I was 8, and it was love at first sight. Capturing your story is more than just a job for me. From destination elopements to parties of the century, I've seen it all and love every minute of a wedding day.

Awarded Best of Zola
We’re so happy we chose Adam for our wedding photography! Our original photographer ghosted us a few months before the wedding, and finding a new one on short notice was stressful. But it worked out perfectly—Adam was even better than we could’ve imagined. He was kind, organized, and responsive, which was such a relief after our previous experience. From our first Zoom call, I knew he’d be great to work with. He made my husband and me feel so comfortable on the big day, and he and his assistant kept us laughing the whole time. We got our sneak peeks within a week, and they were incredible! We can’t wait for the full album. Highly recommend Adam for your wedding photography!

Hi I'm Carmelisse. I'm an intimate wedding & elopement photographer based in Los Angeles. I have a gift for making people comfortable and seeing the beauty in all diverse people. I want nothing more than to tell your love story right.

Awarded Best of Zola
Wedding Veterans will tell you that your photographer really sets the tone of your wedding. They are much more than just the person that takes pictures. They take the time to understand who you are as a couple and the story you want to tell and really how you'll look back on your wedding day for years to come. Carmelisse was that and more for us. From the moment we saw her photos from mutuals' weddings we knew we wanted her to shoot our wedding. In our first meeting, it felt like talking to a long-time friend and it was an easy decision for us to put all our trust in her and her team. She was the first person we hired after our wedding planner. We actually contacted her the month after we got engaged in 2021 but her 2023 book wasn't open yet. After conversing via text and email for months, we met her for the first time during our engagement shoot and she captured us and our dogs perfectly (YES, she capture our anxiety-ridden GSD mixes with smiles and they stood still, and the doggos absolutely fell in love with her husband, THANKS REX!!) She helped us pick the area and with putting together comfortable poses. Her turnaround time was so reasonable, the photos are just plain awesome. I have a hard time putting into words how great they are but I literally tear up with happiness every time I look through my album (which I still do ALOT). For the wedding day, Carmelisse and John kept us hyped and on schedule. A lot of things happen on the wedding day and Carmelisse was already ready to help us adjust and adapt. She captured all of our memories so beautifully. I can't stop singing her praises for her work and her as a person. She truly cares and it is seen through her work and her actions on the wedding day. AND Carmelisse is so stinking great - I went through a health scare the morning of my engagement shoot, I was trying to power through because I was afraid of canceling late but all Carmelisse cared about was that I was ok and she immediately rescheduled without additional thought. Carmelisse will be our forever photographer and we want her to shoot all of our future milestones. After our wedding, so many of our friends and family have already added her on Instagram for the future when she can shoot their wedding or life event.

While some photographers emphasize their gear or trendy post-processing, I take pride in subject-photographer interaction - the relation I build with clients, picking up on nuances in pose and expression while we shoot, anticipating the viewers' response - because ultimately, that's how photographs that matter to us are created. I'm a native New Yorker who found myself relocating to Los Angeles and making it my home. Wherever you'd like to have your wedding, it would be my pleasure to be your photographer.

Gabbie Burseth Photo
Rating: 5.0 (14 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $7,200
  • Serves Hawaiian Gardens, CA

Gabbie Burseth grew up documenting everything and saving mementos in empty Christmas boxes. After studying at the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia, she discovered an affinity for weddings and their accompanying treasures. Her philosophy as a wedding photographer is to observe with as little interference as possible — no faking it, no do-overs, no “for the camera”. Her biggest desire is for couples to be present at their wedding, not stuck in a photoshoot. Her work is punctuated by rich and vibrant color, the timeless quality of analog film, and a sense of humor found in fleeting moments.

Awarded Best of Zola
The professionalism, raw talent, and sweet demeanor are only a few of the exquisite gifts Gabbie offers. If you are looking for a photographer who is the complete package, look no further. When selecting wedding vendors, every blog post will tell you that choosing your photographer is one of the most important (if not the most important). However, little information is provided after that tidbit, which can be daunting for an excited (albeit overwhelmed) bride who wants every detail of their wedding to be perfect. Sean, my now husband, and I had selected our venue, The 1909 in Topanga Canyon, CA., and our coordinator, Allison, with West Events LA, provided us with a list of her preferred vendors -- insert us coming across Gabbie. I remember going to her website, scrolling through her work, and being enamored with how each photo captured a different emotion and feeling. We both immediately knew that from looking at her work alone, we wanted our photos to look and feel the same. After sending an inquiry and coordinating a call, Gabbie & I spoke on the phone for close to an hour about what we had in mind for our wedding, and I remember it all clicking when Gabbie described her work as "documentary" style. Sean and I knew we didn't want a videographer for our wedding, so Gabbie's techniques and overall vision aligned perfectly with what Sean and I wanted. We also opted to do a round of engagement photos with Gabbie 5 months before our wedding, where she came into our home to take photos of us in our most comfortable and natural state (chasing our dogs around the yard) and then for a shoot at a local winery that we love to go to. Not only did we have such a fun and great experience, but we also felt so comfortable and relaxed with Gabbie. We almost forgot we were there to have our photos taken! We received the gallery back shortly after and were so thrilled. Fast-forward to our wedding, we had hired Gabbie a second shooter for 8 hours. They met us at the venue for the final getting-ready details around 1 pm and stayed through to a good portion of the dance floor, around 9 pm. They arrived promptly and were even extra helpful with Sean when getting his suit on! While those details may seem minor to some, it was that unique care and attention from both Gabbie and her second shooter that made Sean & I, and all of our guests, feel so beautiful and confident to be themselves. When Sean and I got our gallery back, we spent a solid three hours scrolling through every captured moment, laughing, crying, and squealing with excitement. I am not exaggerating when I say that seeing the captured images and how Gabbie so beautifully arranged them in the album was purely magic. Any time we go through the album, we genuinely feel transported back to that day, and there is no doubt in my mind it is because of Gabbie's pure mastery of her craft. As part of her thorough questionnaire, one of the questions was what percentage of digital-to-film prints we would like, and for ours, we chose 50:50. I'm so glad we opted for film, and I almost wish we had had more because these photos are indeed what dreams are made of. The icing on the cake, Gabbie also wrote us an adorable card after the wedding, which included 3 of the film prints. Sean & I will forever be grateful to Gabbie for her work and friendship. We love you!!

Welcome. I'm D e r e c k. I've been doing photography and videography since 2017. It wasn't until the pandemic of last year that I decided to take a leap of faith and make it a full-time career. I feel like I've always had a burning passion for photography and editing, I love photography because it captures a moment in time. Whether that moment is your wedding day or an annual family portrait, pictures enable us to relive and remember special occasions again + again. Why I specifically dove into Wedding Photography? Simple!! My love for creativity and seeing passionate couples that aren't afraid to show their personalities

We hired Dereck for an after-wedding celebration for our son and daughter-in-law and were very happy with the experience and the results. From start to finish, Dereck was professional, responsive, organized, flexible, and punctual. He scheduled prep meetings with me before the event and came fully prepared with backup cameras and batteries—including for drone footage—which was especially important since the couple arrived a bit later than expected. Everything ran smoothly and without stress. What sets Dereck apart, however, is his storytelling approach. He partners with a talented videographer to produce a beautifully edited five-minute montage that captures the essence of the evening. This isn't a music-only highlight reel—it thoughtfully weaves together background music with dubbed audio: excerpts from speeches, guest messages to the couple, laughter, and candid moments. The result was an emotionally rich snapshot of the night—far more meaningful (and watchable!) than the typical two- to five-hour video many videographers deliver. Dereck handled the golden hour and night-time lighting beautifully. These included candid guest shots, posed and portrait photos, and lovely images of the couple alone. His fees were very reasonable, especially when compared to other “content creators” we considered who offered only iPhone footage and music at a similar price point. Dereck’s work was on an entirely different level. We are absolutely thrilled with the results and wholeheartedly recommend Dereck to anyone looking for a photographer who is not only technically skilled, but also an exceptional visual storyteller.

Since receiving our wedding photos from Jess, several of my friends and family members (including 2 professional photographers!) have asked me for her contact info because of how amazing her photos are!! When we started looking for a wedding photographer, we knew that we needed to find someone with a great eye for candids, who wouldn't make our pictures feel too staged, who had a fun/funky vibe like us, and who could handle wrangling my extremely large family (full of very opinionated people) for family photos, and Jess handled everything with ease! I feel so lucky that we found Jess, and I cannot recommend her more. Jess made everyone feel comfortable throughout the entire wedding day, and even gave guidance to family members who are normally awkward in photos (e.g. suggesting ways to pose to make them more comfortable). Jess went above and beyond throughout the entire planning process, checking in with us, getting to know us, and even coming to a venue walkthrough so she could get a sense of the space! I am so grateful for all of the work Jess put into our wedding, and the photos turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I rarely even like photos of myself, but I honestly am so in love with the ones that Jess took that I jump on every opportunity to whip out my phone and share them with friends!

Working with Jordan was a dream! We hired him to do our engagement photoshoot at the LA arboretum, and the photos are GORGEOUS! We ended up using some of the selects for our save the dates and for our wedding website. Jordan has a keen eye for detail both as a photographer and as an editor. He really leveraged the natural flora (and the peacocks, haha!!) at the arboretum to create gorgeous images for us. We hired Jordan again to edit our wedding photos, and they bring us so much joy every day when we look at them. 10/10 would recommend hiring Jordan!

We feel so lucky to have had Anastasiia as our wedding photographer. From start to finish, she went above and beyond — and the results were absolutely stunning. Not only did she help us choose the perfect photo location for portraits after the ceremony, but she also scouted it out ahead of time, drove us there herself, and had a clear plan that made everything feel relaxed and fun. She was incredibly prepared, kind, and efficient — we got every shot we hoped for and more, without ever feeling rushed. What really stood out was her adaptability. There were placement restrictions during the ceremony at our church, which limited where she could stand — but you’d never know it from the photos. She still managed to capture gorgeous, meaningful moments that we’ll cherish forever. Anastasiia is not only wildly talented, but also such a sweet and calming presence to have by your side on a busy wedding day. If you're looking for someone who is thoughtful, professional, and will go the extra mile (literally and figuratively!), she’s the one.

My name is Zyaire Porter and I am the photographer of Porterhouse LA Weddings. Born & raised in Los Angeles, I have been capturing weddings professionally since 2013. I answer every email myself (no bots or assistants).

Awarded Best of Zola
Porterhouse LA did a fantastic job photographing our wedding. Zyaire was artistic, punctual, and precise. We received our photos very quickly after the wedding, and are absolutely in love with them. We’ll treasure these for the rest of our lives, and have had so much joy from sharing them with others. The comments we’ve received have all been about how beautiful the wedding looked, how good everyone looked, and how gorgeous the photos were overall, which is exactly what we were hoping for. Zyaire met with us over Zoom twice before the actual wedding, and took every one of our concerns and questions seriously. He had a good answer to everything, and it convinced us that we were dealing with a consummate professional. We also asked him to shoot our welcome party for guests, and he was able to oblige with that, as well. We first met him in person for the welcome party, and he was already there when we arrived, getting background shots of the venue. This was something we hadn’t even considered, but it was really valuable - having shots of the venue, and the venue for our wedding, helped put the other photos in context for people who weren’t able to attend, and gave us mementos of the locations themselves.
