As a child I always loved digging into family albums and yearbooks. They showed me where I came from and preserved all the things that made us who we are. Without these albums to look back on, there’s so much that would have slipped by forgotten. But now, I’m able to open an album and disappear back into some of the most beautiful days of my childhood.

I’m a sucker for love. A long, long time ago I became a photographer for one reason and it was simple. I lost the people that were the most important to me and became obsessed with capturing moments before they disappeared. Photographs are one of my favorite treasures. They are my way to capture all the light. To preserve and protect all our moments from evaporating. They are so much more than paper and ink. They are the only way for us to pause a moment. I’m Keesha Timmer, a Bozeman, MT-based photographer specializing in weddings, engagements, family portraits and births. I fell in love with photography sophomore year of high school when I randomly dropped into an elective class and learned to shoot, edit and develop my own photos. I’ll never forget the way I felt when I brought my first images to life in the dark room, and though I’ve come a long way since my original Nikon film camera, that same wide-eyed fascination continues to surprise me every day.

I've always had a passion for photos; just to relive and remember the memories captured in those moments is the most incredible feeling. I have found that through photography I can help others. I get to show people how beautiful and amazing they are. I LIVE for that feeling and I love that I get the opportunity to do that.
