I’m Katie, a South Carolina-based elopement and wedding photographer, servicing the areas of Wilmington, NC, Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Hilton Head, Savannah, GA, and other incredible destinations like Montana and the PNW! I provide a timeless, authentic, and in-the-moment approach to photographing your wedding. With a mix of documentary and editorial wedding photography styles, I capture the day as it unfolds and provide direction when needed, giving you a diverse and unique gallery. I believe your wedding photos are an artistic representation of your relationship and what makes your love feel like you.

I genuinely love weddings, and in the least cliché way possible, photographing couples is more than a job to me, so I put all of my skill, creativity, and passion into my work. From advice giver, to dress fluffer, to someone to shed tears with while you read your vows, I am a part of all it, celebrating right beside you. Your day truly matters to me, as does the relationship we establish in the process. It’s not just another wedding.

    Breathtaking Photos

    Katie Z Photography was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding day. From the very beginning, Katie was easy to talk to, gave us great ideas and direction, and was incredibly professional throughout the entire process. Her communication was top-notch - I always knew what to expect and she made sure we were well informed with every step. Katie's work is simply amazing, from the beautiful editing to the way she helped us itemize all the special moments we wanted captured. She even carved out time to sneak in engagement photos for us, even though she was not local. Katie kept the mood relaxed and light during all of our sessions, and was able to come up with creative opportunities for our photos that we will have forever. Her natural, emotion-capturing style truly helped make our wedding day feel so special. We cannot recommend Katie Z Photography highly enough!

    If you want a day where you don’t have to feel any stress about your photos on your special day Katie is your girl!!     Boudoir Photography

    I had a boudoir photo shoot done as a wedding gift to my husband. Katie was amazing to work with. She made me feel confident and comfortable during my photo shoot. I would 100% work with her again in the future. She takes beautiful photos, is fun and professional and turns her work around quickly!

My turnaround time for weddings and elopements is guaranteed within 8 weeks, however, I typically deliver full galleries in about a month. I also provide a hefty amount of sneak peeks the next day! For other sessions types, I guarantee full galleries in 5 weeks.
Your final image count will depend on coverage hours and what you are including in your day, as well as drive times between locations. I do not limit your gallery to a specific number, and the estimates below are just a guide! An 8 hour wedding package typically includes around 700-900 edited images, with a portion of those being black and white versions of color images. A 4 hour elopement can feature 300-500 images, again, with a portion of those being black and white versions of color images.
Yes! I believe images deserve to be free of unsightly distractions like telephone wires, trash cans, wall damage, and even tourists in epic elopement locations. When it comes to how you look, I am happy to edit things that are not permanent for you, like blemishes and bruises! If you have a scar or mark you hate that is permanent, let me know so we can work around it day of and I’ll fade it or edit it out of images for you.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
Yes! You and your loved ones can order professional prints right from your gallery at any time. You can also order a custom heirloom album, where we incorporate your favorite images, select cover materials, and even include a personalized cover message any time after your gallery delivery. I believe in making your cherished memories tangible. Holding your photos in your hands, looking over them with your favorite people, and reliving your day together is such an amazing experience. And it’s one than can even be passed down for generations.
In my 5 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my trusted colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
