LifeSlice Photography started in 2009 as a part-time business by Mike and Elsie Nordtvedt. We are well known for our ability to capture a couple’s unique and beautiful story. We have a knack for helping the bride and groom feel how beautiful, stunning, and magnificent they truly are. After five years, we became full-time photographers. Wedding photography, take us up and down I-5, all over the state of Oregon and beyond. We have even had the chance to travel to Eastern Europe and work with orphans in Belarus. We believe that everyone has a story to tell. So, let’s get together and talk more. We would love the chance to tell your story, too.

Mike and Elsie of Lifeslice Photography are incredible to work with on so many levels. As a caterer, I've worked with them on events with over 400 guests and, they are able to weave in and out of the crowd always capturing those picture perfect moments. Their attention to detail is what sets them apart from other photographers. Along with the fact that Mike has taken the time and effort to continually educated himself by not just becoming (one of only 3 in Lane County) a Certified Photographer but is also Accredited by Special Kids Photography of America. Also, Mike has done our business headshots for the last several years and they are always more than just your regular "headshot". I highly recommend Mike and Elsie for all you photography needs.

My journey in photographing started when my sister handed me her old 35mm camera and said “Go have fun!”. I was hooked! I haven’t been able to put a camera down since. I love using natural light to create soft, organic and romantic images. I shoot digital now but love tossing in a bit of film every now and then. I love hear couples love stories, their hope and dreams for their lives together. So here is ours! I met my hubby when I was 17. We began our happily ever after 3 years later when we were married at a private home along the McKenzie river in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We now have two beautiful children and two adorable puppies.

Your earth loving, sun chasing Oregon elopement photographer. My work is ever evolving but my intention is always the same: to capture the essence of who you are and create timeless photographs that will always take you back to your incredible day.

I don't know where to begin. So I suppose at the beginning! Mia was so professional, took incredible and creative shots, had unparalleled attention to detail, and was just so dang friendly and awesome to work with! That being said, Mia was WAY more than 'just' a photographer. I'm from Oregon, but we live in NYC, so our wedding was a destination wedding for most. Mia had not only been to Crater Lake countless times, but she scouted out specific areas for me, sent me loom videos, and even woke herself up at the crack of dawn to scout out where a sunrise photoshoot would be best. Seriously - above and beyond! Oh, then she created this beautiful pdf of everything you need to know/prepare before the event. I mean, the details and even the aesthetic of the doc was fantastic. Another example - I had SO many issues in finding a hairdresser and I had vented to Mia about it. In no way did I think she'd respond the way she did. Her response was "oh no, that's not right. Let's start over." She then quickly got me several hair referrals and I did go with one of them (who was also excellent). Now - the micro ceremony, photoshoot, and then the reception the following day (i know, we were a lot!) ... I mean - she was AWESOME. She was the patient ringleader we all needed in corralling all of our family members in the right direction and orchestrating where we should go / what we should do and when the day of (again, MORE than 'just' a photographer). It was all crazy, fun, and chaotic, but then it came down to our First Look. She told me to ignore her, and just be in the moment and that this was a very special private time with just me and him - and to really enjoy it (I'm butchering this)- that's when I lost it and my waterworks started. It was what a caring friend would say - it was so kind, soft, genuine, and exactly what I needed to hear at the exact time I needed to hear it. Needless to say, all of the shots we had for the micro ceremony, sunset photoshoot (we nixed sunrise bc we wanted to sleep in the day after haha), family portraits, and dinner were done flawlessly... and not just flawlessly, but Mia just brought the best positive energy and made it so memorable! She brought tons of lenses, and even props and bug-spray for us (I definitely didn't think that). None of the poses were or felt cheesy - and I know that's not always the case. Because you're having fun, it becomes natural and organic. Now post wedding, etc, she gave us access to the website with all of our photos. First, it was organized in a very logical way (thank god!!) with Previews, First Look, Ceremony, etc etc. All in sequential order. We had another reception over here on the East Coast and I can confidently say that not everyone organizes their photos this way - or is anything like Mia. It made it very easy to show them to everyone, and create albums, and Christmas gifts. These are photos of a lifetime that we will always be able to look back on and remember as the best day of our lives. She was able to capture it all perfectly. Truly. These are just a few examples (yes, there are more), but as you can see, Mia was WAY more than 'just' a photographer. She really made it all happen and it would not have gone off without a hitch without her. If I could give her 10 stars, I would! You really won't find anyone like Mia. She blows any bar out of the water.

I am a firm believer that friendship comes from learning the weird and quirky about a person, and still wanting to hang out with them after. And, since you will literally spend more time with your photographer than most anyone else on your wedding day, I want to be friends. We NEED to be friends. Like, I’ll-probably-end-up-holding-your-dress-up-while-you-pee type friends. That’s practically BFF status. I’m not only in the business of capturing your epically rad and emotional moments, I am also in the business of making lasting friendships, both of which I’m really awesome at.

Dionne is one of the most amazing photographers in the PNW (and she travels too!). She was actually one of the first people I reached out to when I was engaged because I knew she HAD to be the one to capture the big day. Originally we were going to go to the mountains to elope but it evolved to smaller ceremony at a barn with great views. She is artsy, and fun and is down for just about anything when it comes to capturing your vision. I would give her 10 stars if I could. If you are looking for a photographer you will not regret booking her. I hope to get future sessions out in the woods with the family too!

I can not begin to describe how amazing these girls are! I had my wedding back in August and it was absolutely perfect! Looking back at my pictures throughout the day, I could not have asked for a better team by my side! Sarah & Amber absolutely killed the photos and are two of the biggest hype women I have ever met! Throughout the entire day they were constantly there singing praises and doing anything to get genuine smiles. Andrea was the one I talked to throughout this whole process and she is absolutely amazing! She was very kind and patient with me throughout the process (I can be indecisive and really didn't fully know my editing style) and she made it work and went above and beyond with editing! All three ladies are absolutely amazing and if you need a wedding photographer/videographer - look no further!! These ladies DO NOT disappoint!

Grace did both our engagement and wedding photos and was such a pleasure to work with. She was professional, communicative, and attentive throughout the whole process, gave fantastic advice and direction on the day, paid minute attention to detail, and was up for anything. Her photos are dreamy and strike a perfect balance between art and recording memories.

A POET WITH A CAMERA IN HER HAND: I’m Ayla — pronounced “eye-luh”, like “I love you” — and I never quite grew out of seeing things the way I did as a kid: heart first, bright eyed, curious about everything and particularly drawn to movement and pretty light. My travels, my writing (certified art school kid), and my big family have brought me from that inquisitive, emotional child to the woman I am today: knee deep in wonder & riverbeds, usually mid-laugh, and so full of gratitude for my life I can hardly contain it to language.

Awarded Best of Zola
I’m a little late on my review, my husband and I got married dec.30,22 and we came across Ayla through another photographer that wasn’t available and let me tell you that was the best thing that could’ve happened for us! To be genuinely honest Ayla is one of the most caring, kind and considerate people I’ve ever met. She worked with us with our budget and tried to make things the least stressful she could for us through the whole wedding process and on top of all of that the pictures were BEYOND AMAZING! She worked with so much Patience with my huge family and was just so much more than we ever could’ve hoped for. And did both digital and film for us both for engagement photos and wedding. If I could leave her more stars I would! Don’t keep looking for another photographer just book Ayla

Love knows no bounds. Every person is deserving of love and deserving of having it captured perfectly. I believe in equality. I believe in living simply and loving deeply. I believe that dogs are the best travel buddies and that plants make the world better and prettier. I believe that perfectly planned photos are awesome, but so is the candid photo of your 90 year old grandmother drinking whiskey with your friends. Your photos are about you, not me. I won't tell you what to do or how to live your best day. What I will tell you is where the best light is, what to expect during your wedding and always get your "good side."

Awarded Best of Zola
Bethany was awesome to work with. We just received our full wedding album back and it is stunning. We couldn't be happier! Throughout the whole process she was really easy and kind to work with. What we appreciated most (aside from the amazing pictures) is that she made us feel really comfortable and helped direct the process as needed, but in a direction that was exactly what we asked for. She deserves extra praise because we had a big mis-hap with another vendor and she helped us out big time trying to figure out what to do next. 10/10 we'd recommend Bethany!

I have been photographing weddings for eight years. My husband and I work together on your wedding day to craft beautiful and emotive images that capture the emotions of the day. We believe in helping guide you to beautiful moments, adjusting your posing so that you look your best, and creating a joyful experience.

We are so thankful for Lauryn and Bob and the beautiful photos they captured of our big day! I first contacted Lauryn through her website after seeing her name pop up on WeddingWire. She promptly responded and sent me all of the details needed to book our wedding day. She even jumped on the phone with me to talk through a couple of wedding planner recommendations she had for me based on the vision and vibe we had in mind for our wedding. I'm so glad she had our date open because having Lauryn and Bob capture our big day was the best decision we've ever made! They are fun, creative and a joy to work with! Lauryn has a way of making you feel calm in front of the camera, and offers engagement sessions for her wedding clients to ease your nerves and to just get to know you as a couple. We received our wedding album about 2 weeks after our wedding and the photos could not have been more perfect! We can’t get over how beautiful every single photo turned out, especially the golden hour photos! The photos Lauryn and Bob captured will help us relive the joy of our wedding day for years to come!
