Coming from band background, he was surprised to see how people were moved by “Gasolina”, a reggaeton song. Observing how DJ was controlling the crowd’s energy while enjoying himself, this made him curious about club music genres, besides metal and rock. Following immediately, he hosted a Bring Your Own Beer (BYOB) house party, where 50 people showed up. I’ve been running Ridiculous Entertainment as my main business for 14 years. I picked up DJing as a hobby when I was in high school, falling in love with hip-hop and learning to scratch records. Throughout my college years, I DJed tons of parties. Simon was incredibly responsive from the get go and organized – he had a special spreadsheet and website to organize the various aspects of the day and when/if music will be needed). And that’s just who he is from a business standpoint. In terms of his abilities as a DJ, let’s just say the dance floor was packed all night and people were disappointed the night had to end.
