We can accommodate up to 200 people in our barn and loft, while smaller weddings find a comfortable setting in one of our more intimate rooms in the house. Cricket Creek Farm is an active dairy farm with live animals and farm equipment; it is the perfect setting for anyone interested in having their celebration in a rural setting that is both breathtakingly beautiful and also an example of sustainable agriculture. Various sites can be used for a celebration including several pasture vistas, a historic farm house garden, and a renovated stone barn. Cricket Creek Farm can provide space for weddings and other events for up to 300 under tents and 150 in our renovated barn. We offer several options for ceremonies and cocktail hour locations throughout the farm property. Our own farm cheese boards, planning services, bridal suites, and other services are also available. The Hinterland is a barn located in Avon CT. We have decided to take a leap of faith and restore the barn to become a beautiful, budget-friendly rustic wedding venue. Owner, Kristyn LeBarron, has been in the Bridal Industry for over 8 years as a stylist, manager, and bridal coordinator for an award-winning company. She sees the need in the industry for a wedding venue and event space that allows brides to enjoy their big day, even under all the regulations. The Hinterland is a place you can come to and have options. Built in 1776, the Nathan Hale Homestead is a National Historic Landmark and the birthplace of Connecticut’s State Hero, Nathan Hale. The property features an 18th-century English Barn with rare gunstock timber framing, a charming 19th-century Dairy Barn, and open pastures surrounded by stone walls and forest. This beautiful home offers a quintessentially New England backdrop for your wedding day or other event.
