The staff were reliable, helpful, and so kind throughout the entire planning process - no matter how many questions we had, they always had the answers. “The Inn at Pleasant Lake had a bit of a delayed and disorganized communication style leading up to our wedding day. While the grounds and gardens were quite nice, the overall presentation and upkeep could have been better. The staff did spread mums around and were accommodating, but they seemed unprepared to handle the larger size of our wedding. The venue has a lot of potential to be a great wedding spot, but they need a more organized staff that can deliver on their promises. Overall, the experience was beautiful and we would recommend it.”

“We are so glad we chose Lake Morey resort for our wedding venue. Our top priority for our venue was to find a place where our friends and family would be able to share quality time together, have fun, and enjoy the outdoors. Lake Morey nailed it with their social environment, gorgeous grounds, and amazing live music. We had our ceremony in the Hemlock Gardens, with cocktail hour in Mapleview Gardens & tented reception on the lawn — all the venues dressed up beautifully for the big day. While food wasn’t a huge priority for us when selecting the venue, Lake Morey greatly exceeded our expectations. The reception food and hors d’oeuvres were delicious and garnered a ton of compliments. And no review of Lake Morey would be complete without a shout-out to Bonnie, the in-house wedding coordinator, who is exceptional. She was extremely organized, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire process. When we had a scare about getting rained out, she proactively made sure to book the nicest spaces for backup venues at no upcharge for us (fortunately, the skies did clear up for the big day, but she saved our welcome party from disaster). It was so clear to us that Bonnie really cares about the couples she works with — it’s more than just a job for her. Thank you once again Bonnie and all the amazing staff at Lake Morey!”

“My husband and I got married at the Barn on the Pemi on 5/31/24, which works closely with the Common Man Inn & Spa. We had our room block, rehearsal dinner, and after party at the Inn, but I'm here to rave about our experience with the Spa! After booking our venue, I spoke to the Inn about any accommodations or recommendations they might have for somewhere for myself and my bridesmaids to get ready the morning of the wedding. They actually have what they affectionately call the "Getting Ready Room," which can be reserved ahead of time. I saw some pictures, saw that the room had some nice natural light, floor to ceiling mirrors and salon chairs, so I figured it was our best bet. Come wedding week and I went down to the spa with my bridesmaid to see the room and the pictures definitely did not do it justice! The room is large with a sitting area with a couch, table and chairs in the middle and salon-style chairs and mirrors around the perimeter. Our hair and makeup stylists were THRILLED with the setup, since they are used to cramped, poorly-lit hotel rooms for wedding prep! I will let the pictures speak for themselves, but want to add one more thing. The night before the wedding, one of my nails (done at a salon back home) broke and popped off - nightmare! I kept the broken piece and brought it to the Spa the morning of the wedding to see if they could help. The Spa staff went above and beyond to make sure my nails looked perfect. One of their nail techs sat in front of my while I was having my makeup done, glued the nail piece back on, and put a top layer of the. white french tip and clear coat shellac over all of my nails to make sure they all looked the same. I would highly recommend the Spa Getting Ready Room for the morning of your wedding - the space and the staff are fantastic!”

“First Zola review! The short and sweet review of this venue is that it was perfect. If it’s details you’re looking for, then we have those for you too. Prior to getting engaged, we had discussed what our ideal wedding day would look like and had both agreed that a mountain-top ceremony was what we both envisioned. For the moment we turned into the Pat’s Peak parking lot and saw the beautifully maintained grounds, rustic ski-village inspired buildings, and cozy lodge we had a feeling we had found our wedding venue. The wedding team at Pat’s Peak was incredible to work with, helping us through every single step and answering every question we threw their way. A huge standout to us as a couple was how accommodating they were of our requests and the level of personal touches we were permitted to do which made our day extra special. While it is of course important to hear what the bride and groom thought of the venue, an aspect we’d like to add to this review is what our guests thought. It’s been two weeks exactly since our wedding at Pat’s Peak and we’re still receiving non-stop compliments from our guests on the venue we chose. We opted for the summit ceremony and we will remember that chairlift ride and view from the top as we got married for the rest of our lives. The weather was perfect for us (which we know is not always the case) but a BIG reason we picked Pat’s Peak is because we liked the weather back up options that were provided to us. Our guests RAVED about the chairlift ride to the top for the ceremony and the scenic ride down for the reception. Special call out here for the lift operators who went above and beyond to be friendly and genuinely excited for our big day. As the bride and groom, we loved the ability to set up lawn games like giant Jenga and cornhole on the deck that provided the perfect environment for guests to enjoy a cocktail, mingle, and connect during cocktail hour and the reception. We opted for a buffet style meal, which provided more than enough food for our guest count of around 100. Everything from the apps, buffet dinner, s’mores bar and ice cream sundae bar was absolutely delicious. To wrap this review up, we’d like to call out Pat’s Peak staff including Brigid and Mary Beth. These two (including our bartenders, and the rest of the amazing staff) worked tirelessly in perfect coordination with our vendors to make sure our day was completely perfect and ran smoothly. We cannot thank them enough for all their help and hard work. Prior to our wedding, we had no connection or tie to Pat’s Peak but now, it will forever hold a special place in our hearts. “Our whole family had a phenomenal experience at Riverside Farm in Pittsfield, VT, all as part of our daughter’s wedding in early October 2024. From the day we first toured Riverside Farm in November of 2022, the gorgeous setting and friendly, deeply experienced team gave us a great feeling about RF that continued through to the wedding and to this day. From late 2022 onward, RF gave us excellent advice and support on every aspect of planning the wedding – the rehearsal dinner, welcome party, all of the wedding day festivities, the afterparty and the Sunday departure brunch. We did not have – and did not need – a separate wedding planner. Our RF coordinator, Kaycee Bushee, was a terrific resource throughout. First, she greeted every question or concern with the same calm, pleasant, and constructive approach – never “too busy” to listen carefully and help. Second, when the wedding arrived, Kaycee oversaw everything with a clear idea of what needed to happen and when, plus a gentle hand to move things along invisibly. Her very capable team members were all well-trained and on the same page. RF requires the use of a small group of core vendors, a practice we came to value immensely. RF works exclusively with Vermont Farms Catering, plus one transportation provider and another company that sets up each event. Far from limiting, we found it a great way to create alignment with these critical groups. They went above and beyond to make sure that RF’s clients (and RF itself) were thrilled. A special note on Vermont Farms Catering, owned/operated by Katie Stiles (our primary contact) and Chef Kevin Lasko (Katie’s husband). They are remarkable, having transitioned to Vermont from the intensive Manhattan restaurant scene. Over the years, VFC has established close relationships with all of the best farmers, ranchers and producers within a broad radius. We knew instantly – when we had a “test” tasting in early 2024 – that our guests would be extremely well-served. For help finding other vendors, Kaycee was always there with a range of recommendations and “color” on photographers, florists, linen providers, etc. She knows of, has color on, or has worked directly with most wedding-related vendors throughout Vermont and New England – many of whom have handled events at RF. Beyond these outstanding individuals at RF, Riverside Farm itself is extraordinary. Whether in full sun or any other conditions, Riverside Farm itself truly shines. It is a spectacular physical place – vast and yet intimate at the same time due to the open sightlines. It offers multiple separate venues that together could comfortably host a great wedding in any weather conditions. Plus, RF provides accommodations for the wedding party at RF, and for family/close friends at a lovely 15-room inn, Amee Farm Lodge, just a mile away and under common ownership with RF. As to issues or negatives, we truly didn’t have any. Nothing occurred that caused any level of frustration or concern. It was amazingly smooth given the number of guests (170) and the numerous events from mid-Friday through the departure brunch on Sunday. As noted, this was not by accident or just good luck. Kaycee and the RF team are outstanding both as to assisting in the planning and in the detailed, smooth and crisp execution of the final plan. As is clear from the above, our entire family wholeheartedly and without reservation recommends Riverside Farm for your family’s wedding.”

“The Blue Bear Inn was the perfect wedding venue for us! We knew we wanted a venue that allowed dogs, was close to an airport (1 hr) for family traveling, had excellent food, offered beautiful scenery, could house our out-of-town guests, was mostly a one stop shop (with lodging, wedding venue, ceremony site options, day-of-coordination, catering, & cake/desserts), and provided historical romance vibes without being a barn — and the Blue Bear checked every box and then some! Carrie, Bob, and the team gave us such a special wedding weekend in May - they didn't plan the most perfect rainbow, but I know they would’ve if they could!”

Harrisville, NH

In 2011 we purchased an old dairy farm in a quiet corner of Harrisville, New Hampshire. We cleared fields, planted orchards and gardens, built barns and a commercial kitchen, boiled maple syrup, raised pigs and sheep, and opened a farm store. Our goal was to create a thriving farm that would serve our family, the community, and visitors like you. Today, that dream is a reality. Mayfair Farm offers a complete special events package that is truly unique. With our inspiring views, welcoming barn, and farm-to-table menu, your family and friends will share a one-of-a-kind experience. Our menu is hand-crafted and ethically produced, and each item is made with the most important ingredient—love. And, as our client, you will enjoy the benefits of flexibility and collaboration as we guide you through each step of the event-planning process. If you can think it up, we would love to help you make it happen. We look forward to sharing our farm with you! Sarah Heffron and Craig Thompson

Venue considerations

  • Additional event staff required
  • Not wheelchair accessible

“To find a wedding venue that is as picture perfect, serene, elegant, and magnifies the beauty of New Hampshire all in one place is rare, but this is exactly what Mayfair Farm has achieved. My husband and I were lucky enough to have been married at Mayfair Farm in August 2024. From the very beginning, Mayfair Farm spoke volumes to us as not only does the entire venue represent our home state of NH, but their focus on farm-to-table food sold us in a heartbeat. As two foodies, my husband and I could not get over how unique of an experience it was to help curate our wedding menu based off of Sarah and Craig’s farm and to morph our food to fit our own food-loving wants. Sarah and Craig are a wonderful duo and to have been able to work with Sarah and her incredible team was a treat. They provided effortless class and taste throughout our rehearsal dinner and entire wedding day. Sarah and her team are easy to communicate with and provided excellent insight to any questions that arose throughout the wedding planning process. My husband and I cannot speak highly enough of Mayfair Farm!”
