At the top of Loon Peak sits the stunning Summit Amphitheater. This setting offers seating for up to 200 guests to witness your heartfelt ceremony against the breathtaking backdrop of the White Mountains. This amazing venue offers a far-reaching natural vista and truly unique photography opportunities to encapsulate the momentous day. The Octagon supplies panoramic views via the surrounding window-wall, which allows your event to be brightened by natural light. The interior boasts a floor-to-ceiling stone-fronted fireplace, wood-paneled walls and bar area, and large timber ceiling-beams adorned with string lights to create a fairytale feel.

The Octagon supplies panoramic views via the surrounding window-wall, which allows your event to be brightened by natural light. A polished dance floor provides the natural focal point of the room around which up to 200 guests can be arranged. Outside, loved ones can enjoy the mountain air as they warm themselves by the large fire pits.

    Beautiful Venue, Great Experience!

    Loon was the perfect venue for us to combine our love of hiking and the outdoors and give our out of town guests an experience they won't forget! Brian, Laurel and John were so helpful along with the rest of the amazing event staff. While we were nervous to not have had a tasting of the food beforehand, the vegan ravioli, prime rib and bruschetta chicken were AMAZING! I do wish we could have at least seen pictures of the appetizer offerings as that might have changed our choices - it all tasted delicious but we inadvertently chose all beige-looking apps. We did experience some hiccups along the way due to turnover with the coordinator staff. If this happens to future couples, I would recommend having a quick call or meeting and asking all the same questions that were previously asked to ensure everyone is on the same page. Overall, we were so happy with our day and would recommend Loon to anyone looking for an outdoor, unique experience wedding.

    The BEST day

    I will be honest, in the beginning after booking at Loon, I was nervous. I couldn't get in contact with the original individual I booked through, I was eventually told he left the resort. I worked with another person who then also left the resort - but none of this was communicated to me. I was coming from out of state and this made me quite nervous, but then John came in and took over the position and he was wonderful. He was communicative, answered all questions thoroughly and was a gem to work with. The views from the amphitheater are UNMATCHED. Our guests loved going on the gondola to the top of the mountain - this made it so unique. The food? Outstanding. My brother said, "that was the best prime rib I have ever had." While it was a little windy and cold at the top, no one really noticed because it was just so beautiful and perfect. If you are considering Loon Mountain, I highly recommend. We really had the best day. We have been snowboarding at Loon since childhood, but getting married there last weekend has made the mountain even more special.

Yes, parking is available adjacent to the Octagon Lodge and the base of the Summit Gondola
Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have access points along the side of the lodge and base of the gondola. The Summit Amphitheatre can be accessed via transportation from the top of the gondola.
No outside alcohol is permitted.
January, February, March, April, and December
Your reservation includes 2 hours at the Summit Amphitheatre followed by 5 hours at the Octagon Lodge. Wedding will typically have take place between 3:00-10:00 PM.
