“We got married at the Philander Chase Knox Estate on September 4, 2026, after a two-year engagement, and our wedding was truly worth the wait. We don’t have anything but amazing things to say about our experience from start to finish.
We worked primarily with John Alexander throughout our planning process, and he was incredibly helpful, attentive, and easy to work with. He answered all of our questions and never once made us feel like we were a bother. He truly made our planning experience feel seamless. John was also extremely informative and upfront about all costs and packages, which we really appreciated.
We toured quite a few local venues before making our decision, but the moment we walked through PCK, we knew it was the venue for us. Growing up next to Valley Forge Park, I instantly felt a connection to the house and grounds. You can feel the rich history the moment you walk in, and the property provides such a unique and beautiful backdrop for a wedding.
A big factor in choosing our venue was my sister, who has multiple severe food allergies. It was extremely important to me that the venue could guarantee a safe food preparation area and that my sister would feel comfortable and confident eating the food at our wedding. This was one of the very first questions I asked every catering company we spoke to during our venue search. Honestly, most venues gave us a “grey area” answer about whether they could safely accommodate her. One catering company even suggested that she “bring her own meal,” which was incredibly discouraging to hear.
That all changed when we asked John the same question. I was expecting another uncertain answer, but John assured us with absolute certainty that it was not a grey area. He explained that they could prepare her meals separately and safely, and they absolutely delivered on that promise. They even made my sister her own plate of appetizer mini cheesesteaks that were completely free of soy protein. They were extremely careful and cautious with all of our guests who had food allergies and dietary restrictions.
If you are on the venue hunt and have food allergies or special dietary accommodations to consider, I cannot recommend PCK and Robert Ryan enough. They truly took our concerns seriously and gave us complete peace of mind on such an important day.
Brianna was our “day-of coordinator,” and we met her for the first time at our two-week check-in meeting before the wedding. From the moment I met her, I knew we were in good hands. She is incredibly helpful, efficient, and professional. She accommodated all of our requests, kept everything running smoothly, and always made sure my husband and I had food and a drink in front of us. She truly made the entire day feel effortless. As a more “Type A bride” , being able to put my complete trust in Brianna was priceless. I was able to let go, enjoy my wedding day, and have complete faith that everything was being handled behind the scenes. Bri is truly amazing at what she does!
All of our guests raved about the venue, with many telling us it was the best wedding they had ever attended. My husband and I would have to agree. :)
