The business started as a part-time venture just over 4 years ago in my mom's garage and quickly blossomed (awful pun) into a full-fledged career. With at least 100 weddings produced under The Local Petaler and countless others worked on as a freelance designer for other companies, I've done a little bit of everything at every venue. Hej, I’m Anders, originally from Denmark, I made the move to the United States in 2019 to marry my wonderful wife, Kristin. Photography has always been a passion of mine, and I've coupled that with my love for adventure. Whether it's traveling the world, scuba diving, hiking, or ultra running, I've always found ways to incorporate photography into these experiences. However, everything changed for me when I shot my first wedding. Being part of such a special day, filled with love and magic, made me realize that this is what I truly want to do.

NVS was officially founded in 2018, but our musicians have been playing together for much longer, as principal players of the Fox Valley Orchestra. The Haight is a wedding and event venue located in Elgin, IL and is enveloped by a historic neighborhood, for a romantic and storied setting for your wedding. This converted warehouse was originally constructed in the 1890s. It began as the Elgin Storage & Transfer Company. Over the years numerous companies used the building until 1985 when it was bought by John Haight, who refurbished the building. The Haight features two floors and a rooftop area. Brick walls and hardwood flooring accent exposed ductwork. There are multiple spaces for hosting your ceremony, reception, and many other wedding-related gatherings. On the first floor, there is room for up to 175 guests standing. This makes the 2,000-square-foot space ideal for the cocktail reception. The second floor features 7,000 square feet of space. 250 people seated or 200 people seated with a dance floor can fit in this event area. You can also take your celebrations outside on the spacious rooftop deck.
