We combine fresh, creative menus with trendsetting designs for a stunning food presentation to create a guest experience that is as appealing visually as it is in taste. In creating our menu offerings, we take great care to also provide a wide variety of delicious vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free dishes to accommodate all tastes and special diets.

    Amazing company!

    I personally cannot recommend True Cuisine enough. I was an out of state bride (I live in Michigan but the wedding was in Chicago). Overall, communication, pricing transparency, and customization to my event were 100/10. The person I worked with Sara R was so sweet and was able to quickly provide recommendations and suggestions for whatever questions I had. Since I could not do a tasting immediately after making contact with them, they were able to not only notify of their capacity (like if they were becoming booked out for the day) but were also able to reserve some offers for me. During the event, everyone worked like a well oiled machine. Everyone was fed on time and the team adapted to the event as needed. From my guests, I got several compliments on how wonderful the food was. They were even able to offer an event decorator last minute. If I had to do it again, I would book True Cuisine again.

    THE BEST FOOD EVER!

    Working with True Cuisine was a breeze from start to finish. Their team communicated with us clearly at every step, making the planning process efficient and stress-free. When our wedding day arrived, the appetizers and buffet dinner were absolutely spectacular—the flavors were incredible and everything was prepared to perfection. Our guests couldn't stop talking about the food, and some of them even went back for seconds and thirds! The desserts were a huge hit too. We felt so taken care of by True Cuisine, and they truly made our celebration unforgettable.

    We are so happy we chose Sweet Baby Rays/True Cuisine for our wedding! Their team responded quickly to all our questions and gave us clear answers every step of the way, which made the planning process stress free. On the day of our wedding, everything arrived on time and the buffet was set up beautifully and ran like clockwork. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious the food was, and we really appreciated how our captain, Sandra, took such good care of us throughout the night. She was always checking in to make sure my husband and I had food, drinks, and everything else we might need. Their attention to detail and genuine kindness made our special day even better.     Excellent Caterer!

    True Cuisine was a fabulous caterer to work with! From the start, they had great communication, reasonable price, and plenty of options. We loved that you could pick from a more traditional menu with True Cuisine or lean into their Sweet Baby Rays side with BBQ food, or do a mix and match. I asked for so many updates to my quote and they were so patient with me as we tweaked things and made it work within our budget. Our contact joined for our final walk through which was extremely helpful and they handled a lot of the timeline, coordinated the dropoff and pickup for our alcohol since we did the BYOB option, provided warming plates for our late night food, and allowed us to borrow their cake stand and cutter for our cake. They were extremely flexible the entire time and overall provided great service and food on our wedding day! Everyone was so kind and great to work with – thank you so much!

    Highly Recommend!

    From our first conversation with True Cuisine, we knew we had made the right choice. The team was quick to respond to our questions and worked with us on every detail to make sure our vision came to life. On the day of our wedding, their staff moved seamlessly through the reception and kept everything running on time. We have received so many positive comments from our guests about all of our food from our day. The dessert table and the walking tacos we added as a late night snack were such a fun touch and everyone loved them. Of course! We have a variety of hearty and delicious menu options to accommodate your guests who may have dietary restrictions such as gluten, dairy, nuts, and meat.
Yes, we have a variety of beverage and bar packages available to our clients. If you are providing your own liquor, we can provide bartenders, ice, garnishes, and disposables for a reduced rate.
Yes, we work with several trusted vendors to provide our clients with quality table enhancements, linens, entertainment, and more!
For our serviced events, we do not currently have a food and beverage minimum, but other restrictions may apply.
Once you have been connected with your event consultant and have been able to fill out our Request for Proposal form, you will have a proposal within one week, but usually much sooner.
As long as your venue allows outside caterers and it falls within our areas of service, we are always happy to execute events in new spaces!
We offer a variety of service levels. For a simple drop-off, we deliver the food to you, set up your buffet and leave the rest to you. If you wanted to upgrade to a set-up, we will include warming units for all hot items. For this level, you can choose to add a buffet attendant to replenish and even serve the food to your guests. Finally, with our full-service events, our professional team is on site from set-up to clean-up, so that you simply get to enjoy your event. This level includes beautiful buffet embellishments and presentation vessels.
We offer all service styles including buffet, plated, stations and family style. Our most cost-effective style of service is buffet, while our highest end is family style service.
Once we provide you with your custom event proposal for your full-service event, we would love to schedule a tasting with you at our facility in Wood Dale to determine if we are the best fit to execute your event!
For larger events such as weddings, we recommend signing 6 months to a year out. However, as long as we have your date available, we are able to plan and execute your event in far less!
We do not create wedding cakes, but we would be happy to cut and serve yours at no cost. We do provide an array of other desserts such as bars, cookies, brownies, trifles, and cupcakes.
We can absolutely assist with centerpiece placement, candle lighting, etc. Depending on the amount of work involved, additional fees may apply.
Yes! On average we will arrive on site at your event 2 hours prior to guest arrival to assist with the set-up of the space and stay an hour after guest departure, until the space is fully broken down and cleaned up.
