The Woolen Mill & The Silk Mill offer a unique piece of history as the perfect backdrop to any couple’s specific tastes and provide a timeless atmosphere. Both venues were originally factory buildings in 1800s, and today the spaces provide an open and inviting space for 50-300 guests while still providing a personal and intimate setting. Each venue is truly it’s own and “one of a kind”. Both venues offer their own individual parking, ceremony and reception spaces, and getting-ready suites.

Our goal is to provide a million dollar outside wedding site at an affordable price AND treat every bride like she is our own daughter. In the 1950’s thru the mid 1970’s the site was known as Motts Run Landing, which provided access to the Rappahannock River for families, boaters and fishermen by day and a local lovers lane by night. In 1979 Gene & Linda Clore purchased this 2 ½ acre slice of heaven and dedicated their lives to the fun and pleasure of those who wished to enjoy the Rappahannock and Rapidan rivers by canoe. Because of it’s natural beauty a friend of the family, in 1993, requested to have their wedding overlooking the river. Thus was the inception of Riverside Weddings. After a few years of one or two weddings per year with family and friends (and friends telling friends about our enchanting spot to get married) it was obvious that we had become “Riverside Weddings by Clore”

Like some it started with a little camera originally to capture our children as they went on field trips, vacations, and other documentations of life. I quickly began venturing into photographing other families and children. A very good friend of mine invited me to shoot her wedding. This was something I haven't quite thought about doing but was super excited for the Opportunity since I was exploring my different options at the time. When I tell you I fell in love! I really did! I mean that would be such an understatement!! I knew at that point that becoming a Wedding Photographer was what I'd be.
