Paperboys is a boutique wedding film/photo agency located on the ‘skirtz of Washington D.C. We started down this regal road in 2014 and we have the mountain of harddrives to prove it! We’re a collaborative team of filmmakers and photographers who live for making amazing things for the world’s most friggin’ amazing couples. When we started this business on a wing and a prayer, we quickly realized that working alone is not a ton of fun - some would say, it’s for the birds. So, we grew our team and that’s when things really started to come to life.

What makes us unique? Simple, it’s our dedication to the craft. Each of our team members are full-time staff, each with a heart to collaborate, to learn, and to produce the best work possible. It’s this spirit of collaboration and sharpening each other that has made our films and photo galleries better and better with each passing season. But even as our films evolve, each one still possesses that Paperboys spark, which inspired this whole endeavor - a passion for breathtaking cinematic imagery, and for storytelling that, hopefully, moves the soul. — We’re so excited you’re here —

Paperboys is AMAZING. We hired them for our Indian wedding events and also had an engagement shoot. First off - they are one of the most responsive and kind vendors in the industry that I spoke to. Having a vendor like this on your team while wedding planning makes life SO much easier. They are flexible and always willing to hop on a call and discuss any concerns or questions. For photos - we worked with John primarily for photography, and he made us feel so comfortable during our engagement shoot; we had full trust when it came to our wedding. Those photos came out like art. He is such a pro - perfect cues for posing, always knows what to do, and really takes into account your preferences/concerns. He works so seamlessly, and on top of that, he is insanely kind, accommodating, and makes you feel so prioritized. He is so familiar with the brown wedding scene that he knew to call everyone auntie and uncle! He really went above and beyond for us throughout our weekend, and I can't express my appreciation enough. AND obviously, our photos are beautiful! We also worked with Matt and Matthew for photos, and they were both equally amazing, kind, polite, and talented. Their vibe really is so calming, warm and efficient, which you definitely need on your wedding day. For video - we primarily worked with Jonny, and Laura came to a couple of our events as well. They were both so chill, kind, and just a pleasure to be around. Something must be in the water at Paperboys honestly! Now.. Jonny created a same-day edit that was SO above and beyond my expectations. I mean, I was sobbing when I saw it at the reception. I only briefly described to him my vision for it, and he understood it perfectly. It was dramatic, beautiful, and every element was well thought out. He is a genius! I truly have no words. Jonny and Laura captured so many cool moments and shots, and I am just so excited to relive all of our most special moments when we receive more video content. I would wholeheartedly recommend Paperboys, especially the folks highlighted above, to anyone looking for wedding photographers and videographers!

We worked with Paperboys as our videographer for our September wedding in DC, and they absolutely killed it! Nick and the team were amazing to work with. They were super communicative and organized throughout the whole process. They walked us through all our preferences ahead of time, which made things completely hands-off on the wedding day. They were great to have around on the day and really added to the energy of the day. We’ve only received our teaser video so far, but we already know everything will turn out incredible!

Working with the paperboys was the easiest decision we made for our wedding! We had been familiar with their work through a couple of our friends and when it came time to pick our photo vendor -- we knew they had the style that we were looking for. Not only did they provide photo services -- they helped us with our timeline and ensured that they had the time allocations required to get the photos that were important to us while also not compromising other parts of the day from ceremony, cocktail hour to reception. The day of they rallied our friends and family to keep the day moving smoothly. They worked well with our other vendors to get the information they needed and of course the photos John and team took are absolutely STUNNING from the engagement shoot to the wedding day. I'm excitedly waiting for our full album. We got the sneak peek photos super quick and I'm already speechless. Can I have these guys around for all my events moving forward because * chef's kiss *. Look at their portfolio -- what more could you ask for!

We had the absolute best experience working with the Paperboys team for our wedding photography and videography! We knew since our engagement photoshoot session with John that he would be a dream to work with on our big day. He instantly grasped our vibe and leaned into our ideas, which resulted in our stunning engagement photos at the Great Falls location he took us to! His energy made every moment enjoyable, and we felt completely at ease in front of the camera. On our wedding day, John teamed up with our lead videographer, Logan, and together they were the perfect duo! Their complementary styles added a sense of lighthearted fun and joy to the otherwise chaotic bustle of the day. You could really tell they are professionals at what they do; they effortlessly captured our vision with just a few short words we gave them to describe the mood we wanted to feel when looking back at our wedding photos and videos. When we received our sneak peek photos and teaser video shortly after the wedding, we were truly at a loss for words. Every shot reflected the emotions we experienced that day, and we are so excited to see what else they have in store for us!
