“Where do I even begin?? The Drumore Mill is an oasis. Surrounded by farm land and nestled in a dark green wood, it feels like you’ve entered into a fairytale land. The moment my fiancé (now husband!) and I stepped onto the Drumore Mill property, we knew we needed to exchange our vows here. We got married in the Grist Mill beside the waterfall. I always wanted an indoor/outdoor wedding but hated the idea of a tent wedding. The Grist Mill building is an open air but covered area with tall wooden beams and lots of open windows to allow sunlight in. Thuy was a pleasure to work with throughout my long engagement. She answered all my questions and even showed up the day of my wedding to wash windows at the reception barn! You can tell she really cares about the Drumore Mill. Look, there are a lot of places you can get married. But the Drumore Mill is special because you can return to it. They have charming rustic houses on property you can stay in. You can host a family reunion or a smaller vow renewal ceremony or just go on an anniversary trip there. How many other couples do you know who can stay the night at the place they got married? Because that’s what my husband and I did. We spent our wedding night on property, steps away from where we exchanged vows. We got to wake up the next morning and walk the beautiful grounds of the Drumore Mill taking in all the scenery and relive the memories from the day prior. One of our guests approached my husband during the wedding and said “I want my daughters to get married here”. You can’t get a better compliment than that! So in short, if you’re looking for a one of a kind place, where nature and architecture blend together, and you can return there to reminisce with loved ones—then consider the Drumore Mill. Drumore Mill is a different world. It is nestled in a corner of the most rustic township in Amish Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The mill was built in 1752 as a sawmill and a grist mill. It sits in a hollow with 30 acres of tall cliffs and old trees to provide privacy, warmth, and natural beauties. There is a pristine creek that meanders through the property. The Fishing Creek supports native trout and other rare small fishes. The waterfall is adjacent to the buildings. There is a hiking trail within the property. There is wetland and much more. “We are so grateful to the entire team at Melhorn Manor for making our wedding day happen!! It's hard to even know where to begin - from start to finish, every detail of the day was magical thanks to the team's hard work and expertise. When my fiancé and I started the wedding planning process, we toured plenty of venues, but we knew right away that Melhorn Manor was different in the best way. We were used to being rushed through other venue tours, dismissed because our wedding wasn't big enough, and generally being made to feel more like dollar signs than excited newlyweds-to-be. But our experience at Melhorn Manor couldn't have been further from this - we met Allory for the tour, and before we took a step through the property, he took the time to introduce himself and the Melhorn family and to share the lovely story of how Melhorn Manor came about. We didn't feel rushed or pressured like we had at other venues, and Allory really took the time to understand our vision for our big day and help us imagine it around the property. We left that day glowing and feeling sure that "this is the one!" And how right we were!! We really can't say enough positive things about our wedding day. Getting ready in the amazing bridal suite and Groom's room was such a fun and special way to kick off the day. As the ceremony approached, it was so clear that the team was all working so hard to make sure all the decor was set up, every detail was thought through, and every moment went off without a hitch. What a special and humbling feeling it is to have so many people invested in making your special day as magical and memorable as you've always hoped it would be - it's impossible to express the depth of our gratitude. Our wedding day was quite a rainy one, but the Melhorn team had a plan for everything. Melhorn Manor had the most robust rain plan of any venue we toured: some venues' plans had felt more like an afterthought, while Melhorn offers an entirely separate building that can be used for the ceremony in inclement weather. It was such a huge relief to feel like we didn't have to worry about adjusting every detail on the fly, and to go into our rainy wedding day knowing that, regardless of the weather, it would be just as beautiful and special as we always imagined. We had and continue to have SO many of our guests, both on the wedding night and afterwards, tell us that this was the best wedding they have ever been to. So many glowing comments about the beautiful venue, the fun had on the dance floor, the amazing and kind staff, and all of the countless details that go into making the day memorable. “We loved our wedding at Huntingdon Valley CC! Allegra was so nice and great to work with! The staff during the event was on top of it, professional, and so nice. The venue is beautiful and they accommodated everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this venue! We had our ceremony off site. Following the ceremony, the bridal party and our families came to the venue to take pictures outside of the building before the reception started. They provided light snacks and beverages for us during this time. I also requested to use chairs for our photos in the lawn and they were more than happy to provide these. The terrace is a perfect space for cocktail hour. Our guests raved about the hors d'oeuvres. We had a photobooth set up outside on the terrace during cocktail hour. The space was perfect for it and there was plenty of room. The ballroom is beautiful and was my favorite part of the venue. We had 137 guests and the space was very comfortable and we had plenty of room on the dance floor. Allegra helped us figure out what table set up and room lay out worked best for our group and was more than willing to accommodate our requests.”

“Curtis Arboretum was a breathtaking venue and the perfect backdrop for our wedding day. From the moment we arrived to the final dance, everything looked and felt magical. Our guests raved about the food, the grounds, and the overall experience. However, we did experience several disappointments that left us, as the bride and groom, feeling a bit forgotten. We missed out on key elements we were especially excited about, including the Seoul Kitchen station during cocktail hour and gelato chipwiches. While our guests enjoyed them, we never got to try either. The chipwiches were advertised as butlered to the dance floor, but never came out. After trying to get information from the coordinators, a bridal party member ended up making a tray himself and bringing it to us. We also didn’t receive several passed appetizers, the harvest table, or any table wine service during dinner. VIP drink service was inconsistent as us and our parents rarely received drinks from the staff. Dessert was served without notifying the emcee, so many guests (including us) missed it entirely. We only had the ceremonial bite of our wedding cake and didn’t get to enjoy any of the dessert stations. Sadly, the top layer of our cake, meant to be saved for our anniversary, was placed in a car staying overnight and ended up having to be thrown away. That tradition is now lost to us. We’ve shared our honest feedback with the venue and were met with a polite “thank you, we’ll share this with the staff,” along with a pitch to book another event. While these issues didn’t ruin our day in the slightest, they did impact our experience as the couple. Future couples: advocate for yourselves and confirm all promised services in writing to ensure you get what you’re paying for!! Curtis Arboretum is a beautiful venue, and we’re grateful for the memories, but we hope future weddings receive more attentive service for the couple at the center of it all.”

The Knowlton Mansion

“I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Knowlton Mansion and Conroy Catering. From my first tour through our actual wedding day, they were incredible. Knowlton itself is SO beautiful. It was important to me to find a venue that felt like an experience, where guests could wander around, explore different spaces, go outside, and take everything in rather than spending the entire night in one ballroom. Knowlton was exactly that. The mansion and grounds have so much character that you really don't need a ton of decor because the venue speaks for itself. We had our ceremony outside, moved indoors afterward, had the fire pits going outside, and added the secret wine cellar that opened during the reception, which was SUCH a fun surprise. Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the venue was and how much they loved all the different spaces. I also loved how much freedom we had to make the wedding feel like US. Knowlton provides so many amazing vendors, but we brought in some of our own as well, and they embraced everything. We literally had a tattoo artist tattooing guests during the reception and, at one point, a full-blown mosh pit to Rage Against the Machine haha, while still having all the traditional wedding moments we wanted. Nothing ever felt cookie-cutter or like we had to fit into their idea of what a wedding should be. They just moved with us and helped make it happen. Conroy Catering was also wonderful. Our guests RAVED about the hors d'oeuvres, and every single one we chose was a hit. They also accommodated two signature cocktails that were a little more involved than their standard offerings, and they turned out amazing. And the STAFF!! Cara gave me my initial tour and immediately made me feel so welcome. Eileen worked with me throughout basically the entire year of planning and was an absolute lifesaver. She was informative, organized, kept track of all my notes, and made the entire process so much easier. Then Rebecca was our coordinator on the actual wedding day and was AMAZING. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I could hand everything over to her and actually enjoy my wedding. All three were exceptionally kind, organized, and made me feel genuinely special and cared for. Our bridal attendant and waitstaff were incredible too, even making sure I actually got to eat some of our hors d'oeuvres throughout the night! Finally, the VALUE is incredible. Weddings get unbelievably expensive so quickly, and Knowlton's packages include so much for a very reasonable price. Between the gorgeous venue, catering, open bar, staff, coordination, and everything else included, we were able to have a wedding that felt grand and beautiful without the enormous price tag I saw at so many other venues. Our wedding was beautiful, unique, fun, personal, and completely US, and Knowlton embraced every bit of it. Our guests loved it, WE loved it, and I would choose Knowlton Mansion again in a heartbeat!!”

Portico is a storybook wedding venue set within Awbury Arboretum in the historic Germantown neighborhood of Northwest Philadelphia. The 55-acre arboretum is a green oasis in the city, with the Francis Cope House as its centerpiece. The Quaker stone mansion has floor-to-ceiling windows and a wraparound porch overlooking specimen trees, woods and meadows. Portico accommodates up to 160 guests, with dinner on a flagstone patio beneath a white tent surrounded by landscaped gardens and dancing in the Francis Cope House. Weddings at Portico are catered by Peachtree Weddings. Menus are seasonal and customizable, with food prepared largely from scratch in our own kitchen. BLDG39 is a historic and industrial chic style wedding venue with modern accents located in the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia. The venue includes free parking available and a 30 x 30 seasonal tent. Originally erected in 1917 during wartimes, the space has been thoughtfully renovated to preserve the history within its walls. We invite you to come make your mark on history! Our maximum fully seated indoor capacity is 130 guests, and our casual standing reception-style indoor capacity is approximately 150 guests. The use of our outdoor space under the tent increases to approximately 175 guests total standing reception-style (venue + tent).

“My partner and I had the best experience working with Deyna Hamilton from Manayunk Brewing for our wedding reception! From the moment we booked the space a year prior, Deyna was so hands-on with us and helped with everything along the way. Every time we met, she kept us on track and helped us organize our to-do list and was such a pleasure to work with. She clearly has a ton of experience with planning and organizing events, and on the day-of, Deyna made sure we had the most carefree and fun time! The cocktail hour & reception space were perfect for my husband and I. We hosted about 80 people, so everybody had a lot of room to mingle and have drinks and dance. We chose to do stations for dinner, and they were a hit! Everybody told us how much they enjoyed the food during the cocktail hour and reception. The chef at Manayunk is very good! Deyna helped us choose all of the food in the months leading up to our reception which was also a load off our minds! We had a great time utilizing the bridal suite in the hours before our reception - it was a great space to have drinks and snacks with our family, put together some of our decor, and get ready. Deyna and the other staffers helped us tremendously by putting together the reception & cocktail hour space with all of our decorations, flowers, and photos. Deyna provided recommendations for vendors, so it was easy to choose a DJ (John Cicala from Silver Sounds) who already knew the venue! We can’t recommend Manayunk and Deyna enough. They were so wonderful to us! Thank you for everything!”

“We had the most amazing experience with the William Penn Inn for our June 2026 wedding! Everything from the planning process through the wedding day went so smoothly. Tiffany was wonderful to work with and was always quick to respond to my many questions throughout the entire planning process. She made everything feel organized and easy. The bridal suite was perfect for getting ready, and the snack tray and champagne were such a thoughtful touch. The room at the inn for the groom and groomsmen was also perfect and gave them a great space to get ready and spend the afternoon together. We received so many compliments from our guests about the food and the service throughout the entire event was excellent. Our cake was absolutely amazing and turned out exactly how I envisioned it! We also had such a great experience leading up to the wedding. The tasting for six people was incredible and made the planning process so much fun, and everything went perfectly at our rehearsal. On the wedding day, the team handled all of the setup and even assisted with cleanup afterward, which allowed us and our families to simply enjoy the day. We especially loved the all-inclusive package. Having so many details taken care of in one place made the entire process much less stressful. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and are so happy we chose this venue for our wedding!”

From the start, Dolly and the NVCC team were so responsive to our questions and communicated with us in an efficient and timely manner throughout the planning process. “My partner and I were recently married end of 2023 at The Madison and it was everything we hoped our wedding day would be and more! Everything was truly perfect-- from the stunning venue, rock-star wedding coordinator, 5-Star dining and phenomenal staff. There is a saying that goes “people may not remember what you said, but they will always remember how you made them feel”. I suppose that is a perfect place to start. From the moment we stepped into the The Madison for our initial tour, wedding coordinator Thomas made us not only feel completely comfortable but also that he was just as excited as we were to plan our wedding. His energy and passion made us confident that we not only had found the venue we desired, but the staff as well. Through months of planning he was 100% on top of every detail. There was no stone left unturned as he helped guide us to creating the wedding of our dreams. On the actual wedding day, Thomas and the staff at The Madison collaborated so seamlessly with all of our vendors. Everyone was completely in tune with our vision and made sure the execution was perfect. Our bartenders and the wait staff were 100% on point the entire night and all of our guests complimented how well the service and food was! As for the atmosphere of the venue itself – absolutely stunning! We were married outdoor by the fireplace shortly after sunset. Words cannot give justice to how breathtaking this backdrop was and it was the most romantic setting to exchange our vows. We would strongly recommend reviewing some of the pictures on their Instagram account so you can see how truly beautiful this space is. We were concerned about the cold since we did get married in the heart of winter, but there were ample heaters aligned around the seats so our guests remained comfortable and the fireplace by our side kept us warm through the entire ceremony. We cannot thank The Madison enough for making sure our wedding day was perfect!”
