This 19th-century country estate boasts a rich history and an exciting future. With painstaking care, Conroy Catering restored the mansion’s interiors to reflect the Victorian splendor of the past. The newly constructed contemporary yet warm conservatory opens to expansive cocktail terraces, a pergola & carriage house for wedding ceremonies, and thirteen acres of magnificent perennial gardens.

Outdoor Ceremony Site

The Knowlton Mansion’s outdoor ceremony site is located on the west lawns of the perfectly landscaped 13 acres of the mansions grounds. The bride processes through a pathway nestled amongst English boxwoods and seasonal flowers, until she reaches the pergola.

    The Second Easiest Yes :)

    The Knowlton Mansion is absolutely stunning and was the perfect venue for our wedding! It has a vintage and romantic feel that was exactly what we were looking for in a wedding venue. What really makes this place special though is the people, the team at Conroy Catering not only makes incredible food (we got so many compliments on the food after the fact), but helps you plan so much of the day and are so involved on your wedding day to make sure everything goes smoothly. We had the perfect day, and that is largely thanks to everyone at Conroy Catering!

    From our first conversation, The Knowlton Mansion's team gave us clear and informative guidance every step of the way, which made planning so much easier. The venue itself is stunning—we loved it instantly with its vintage charm and historic character. Dani, the coordinator, was organized and professional throughout the entire process, and her kindness made us feel taken care of. The space manages to feel both spacious and intimate at the same time, and everything was immaculate on our wedding day. The staff delivered great service from start to finish, and we couldn't have asked for a better backdrop for our celebration. We'd absolutely recommend The Knowlton Mansion to any couple looking for a beautiful venue with a team that truly cares.

    GORGEOUS and well-done

    From our first conversation with The Knowlton Mansion, we knew we'd found our venue. The team was responsive and helpful at every step, answering our questions without hesitation and making the whole planning process feel easy. Their day-of coordinator kept everything running like clockwork, and we could actually enjoy our celebration instead of worrying about logistics. The mansion itself is stunning, with different spaces that worked perfectly for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. What really impressed us was how upfront they were about pricing and how affordable the package was with catering and bar included. Our guests haven't stopped raving about the beautiful venue and how well everything flowed throughout the night.

    Highly recommend!

    The Knowlton Mansion was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the very beginning, their communication was clear, concise, professional and comprehensive, which put us at ease throughout the planning process. On the day of, the staff was incredibly attentive and the food was absolutely amazing - our guests raved about it. The overall atmosphere was elegant, intimate, romantic and serene, creating the perfect ambiance for our special day. From start to finish, the team at The Knowlton Mansion was on point with everything and incredibly easy to work with. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue.

    Perfect Wedding Venue!

    I cannot rate this venue highly enough. We just recently had our wedding here, and it was truly a magical experience. The entire staff is super experienced, and were willing and able to handle any request. - Catering: We had an all vegetarian menu. Knowlton/Conroy not only accommodated that request, but served us some of the most delicious appetizers and entrees I’ve ever had. We had several guests with specific food restrictions, and they were all handled with care. Pro tip for future couples who need a vegetarian option: the Eggplant Rollantini is SO SO GOOD! - Day of Coordinator: We didn’t hire an outside coordinator, and we didn’t need one! Rebecca was our day of coordinator through the venue, and she could not have been more wonderful! She was super responsive, incredibly kind, and SO organized! The day was a breeze thanks to her and Dee (our bridal attendant) - We took advantage of the Bourbon/Scotch tasting in the wine cellar, and it was a BIG hit! It felt like we got this venue at a steal. Wedding’s are obviously expensive, but Knowlton really made the day feel so elegant, beautiful, and truly magical.

We offer midweek (daytime and evening) and Saturday appointments. The availability varies week to week based upon our event schedule. As a result, weekend appointment times are more limited. If your availability is limited to the weekends only, we recommend that you call a week in advance to schedule your appointment time.
There is not a minimum adult guest capacity at either of our mansions. Instead, we have a ‘Guaranteed Revenue Minimum’ (GRM), which is similar to a food and beverage minimum, common at many hotel ballrooms.
There is no additional site fee for the rental of the mansion. We do require a Ceremony fee for couples looking to be married on site prior to their reception. Please inquire for rates.
It is simply a matter of preference. The traditional and formal feel of a sit-down appeals to some clients. Others find the relaxed, mingling atmosphere of food stations more appealing. Additionally, clients are often intrigued by the vast array of food station menu options and the flexibility for guests to enjoy a little bit of everything.
Certainly! You will find a comprehensive list of Hors d’ oeuvres, entrees, accompaniments, desserts, food station selections, etc. in your menu package. Other suggestions can also be accommodated. Final menu revisions must be completed 30 days in advance of your event.
There are no areas of the mansion that cannot be decorated. However, we ask that you refrain from tacking or taping to any surfaces such as floors, walls, banisters, etc. in the mansion or ballroom. We can provide written guidelines for your Florists/Decorators in your ‘welcome’ package, as well as some information for your DJ or Band to review.
While we don’t require that you utilize any particular vendors, we have a list of Preferred Professionals who are very familiar with our facilities. They have been selected for their reputation of client satisfaction.
All weddings are based on a 5 hour reception. We are flexible with start times any time of year by request and approval.
The ratio is one staff member for every twelve guests.

Our Catering Consultants always devise a plan A and plan B with you at your details meeting. So you/we will both know exactly how the ceremony (and possibly the dinner floor plan) will differ in the event of inclement weather. The decision is made on the day of the event by the Event Manager at your event.

No. We are a PLCB-licensed facility. PLCB law requires that all alcohol on the premises must be purchased by us and served by our staff. We are also pleased to announce that our venues are RAMP (Responsible Alcohol Management Program)-certified facilities. This certification requires that all staff who serve alcohol be trained on safe and responsible service.
