“Queendoc is such a viiiiibe. From the first phone meeting she was my hype girl. She was just as excited about our big day as us. She took the time to get to know us as a couple and it showed during the whole wedding. “Jared performed at our wedding from the ceremony through the cocktail hour and the entire reception. We wanted a little more intimate of a vibe than a DJ, and Jared nailed it. Every song was performed exceptionally well, it was clear he had practiced and rehearsed. He had a fellow guitarist and singer involved that was equally impressive. We threw a bunch of songs his way that we wanted included that weren’t on his setlist, all of them were done well. The guests basically demanded a Creed song late into the reception and put Jared on the spot, which he also did great at performing. Would 100% recommend for any event needing good live music.”

I vetted several DJs for my husband’s surprise 70th birthday celebration and selected Second Song live DJ because they were able to provide a soloist and a sax player to compliment the overall DJ experience. Our DJ was Ace, Sax Player Austin and singer Natalie. I booked 11 months in advance, had a phone meet and greet 6 weeks out and had several revisions to the itinerary as we got closer to the event. Any changes , questions or ideas I had were promptly acknowledged, answered and collaborated on which continually reassured me that Second Song took a personal interest in making our night one to remember. I also found out that Second Song is frequently hired by my employer, Providence Medical Center in Torrance, for their Foundation events.”

However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

“DJ Motiv was extraordinary. I was so impressed by his professionalism, communication, and willingness to make sure our night was perfect. I was skeptical at first with some reviews mentioning that the DJ’s weren’t playing the songs they chose. I immediately reached out and that was informed that it would not be an issue. ALL of our chosen music was played, with some song requests of guests (with bride’s approval, per DJ motiv - loved that). DJ Motiv checked in with us constantly, even to make sure our food was at our table, if we needed drinks, if the music was going well, and if there was anything he could do. He was going above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. I even threw in special requests during my wedding, including him stopping my parent dance half way (on purpose) as if the music turned off, to take the mic and give a short speech. He did it phenomenally. I had a game request, with him being the commentator and director of, and he took that role and ran with it. The wedding guests LOVED him. I have nothing negative to say about his services. Even the photobooth was done great! I also had a custom sign made, with our new last name, and it was perfect! Such a great item to be able keep, and you get a year warranty on it. Anyway, I highly recommend this DJ!! He MADE our wedding perfect. Everyone loved him.”

His setup was one of the best I’ve ever seen—modern, sleek, and the killer lights matched our black-and-white theme perfectly. From the moment we had our planning call a few weeks before the wedding, I knew everything would run smoothly. Mike made the entire process so easy, and on the day of, everything was flawless. All the music followed our requests to a T, and our guests are still raving about the party! Mike knew exactly when to cut songs short and when to keep the energy high, plus he was fantastic at emceeing when needed. We had two grand entrances, and both were absolutely adorable and perfect. Our customized music for our choreographed first dance and serenade moment sounded incredible on the speakers.
