“I went into the photo shoot basically just knowing where, when, and what I wanted to wear. I am not a huge planning person and I had no idea what type of poses I wanted. Sydney got to know us and posed us for our pictures. If the pose didn't come out right she'd just come up with a new one. She was very flexible and patient with my lack of knowledge. “Rae and Chynjah have such great positive energy and attitude, and made the shoot feel like a breeze. We got great shots even though the weather was not in our favor and she was very creative with the angles. She even incorporated objects and motion in many of the shots. They are both very genuine and great at bringing out the positive energy but of people. All in all, 10/10 would definitely recommend for bridal, maternity, or event photos. For Chris and his previous modeling experience, this was by far the least tedious, most energetic, and easiest shoot that he's been apart of. Rae's communication and creativity were great. She is incredible at thinking outside of the box and coming up with great ideas on the fly. She also communicated great before and after the shoot as there were some minor challenges with scheduling. My initial music meeting with Amber was thorough, and really helped ease anxiety I had with the ceremony music. Our ceremony music had to be cut, and our niece sang to the instrumental song, and the DJ, Ali, worked with my niece to help execute it perfectly. Ali stuck to our selected playlist which we were really adamant about wanting. The videographer, Jordan, arrived on time and was great! He worked alongside my photographer without any conflict. We just received our 1-minute video teaser and just the 1-minute video is absolutely what we hoped for and cannot wait to see the full video. As a wedding photographer, this deep connection to special lighting helps me produce dynamic visual stories of romance, personality and beauty.

“A few things that stood out the most about Isaac were how responsive he was, how he was able to accommodate to our budget, and how he took pictures from angles and views that turned out great on the photos. As a couple with demanding careers, I much appreciated how quickly Isaac was with replying to emails. We had a pretty tight budget, and Isaac was able to offer us a package that landed pretty close to our budget and only had the items that we needed the most (mini engagement photoshoot for the website and wedding day). Our ask for him was to get some candid shots as we feel pretty awkward in front of the camera. I personally think that the wedding day pictures came out more naturally because of the setting being surrounded with friends and families, and Isaac and Sushen did a great job capturing the candid moments beautifully. Isaac even had an idea for me to pose by climbing up a wooden stair ladder for a shot that I honestly wasn't sure how it was going to turn out while doing it, but it ended up turning out beautiful and magazine-like in addition to other ones that he asked us to pose for. Isaac put together a behind the scenes video that also showed the reactions of guests to our photo place cards before we had entered the reception area, and this was lovely in that we got to see our guests' reactions that we weren't able to see.”

Our traditional Vietnamese-Filipino wedding was a 15-hour day that consisted of a traditional morning tea ceremony, Filipino religious ceremony, and a 400-person Vietnamese-style reception. The Double Knot team was extremely patient throughout the entire chaotic wedding day. They made the perfect music video to the song we chose and an amazing full-length documentary. The audio was excellent and quality as well. The photos were so well-edited, and so many beautiful moments were captured. Their turnaround time was also extremely fast! We will always be thankful for having Double Knot, and we’re sure any other couple will be, too!”
