Here they settled and built their family home, while farming and harvesting the surrounding land. The Thomas family has continuously worked to restore and bring the property back to life. Here at Pleasant View Farm we do weddings a bit different than some venues. Here you get a wedding weekend and a B&B experience! After all we are a bed and breakfast inn. The property is yours for 3 days. The day before your wedding to set up and decorate just how you like and then time for your rehearsal. We ask that everything is cleared up and out the day after your wedding by 3PM. This allows you your wedding day to enjoy and get ready and have fun with your family and friends. Included in the wedding weekend are 3 outdoor ceremony sites, 2 barns one for your reception and one for in case your outdoor ceremony needs to move indoor, 2 patios for cocktail hour, tables and chairs, and our guest cottage with overnight accommodations for 6 guests for both nights plus breakfast. Battlefield Bed and Breakfast is the dream venue for any couple looking for a historical property in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The Civil War-era barn and farmhouse sit on the Gettysburg Battlefield and allow for indoor or outdoor ceremonies and receptions. The 1820’s Civil War Barn accommodates up to 140 guests and houses a dressing room. It is most comfortable May-November, as the weather affects the temperature in the barn. There are several lawns and gardens for beautiful outdoor ceremonies and cocktail hours. The Solarium, which is available year round, features natural sunlight, a dramatic historic fireplace, cathedral ceiling, and chandeliers.
