The Perfect Combination of Beauty, Comfort, and Efficiency We were married at Mayfair Farm on Labor Day weekend 2025. We had about 130 guests. We had many requirements regarding food, drink, comfort of guests, the ceremony, and meals. It’s hard to imagine a host with greater caring, talent, taste, and efficiency than Sarah, the owner. Everything was perfect, even beyond perfect, like a dream! Facility: Mayfair Farm is a beautiful venue. The custom-designed barn was perfect for dining, dancing, serving, and preparation. The firepit right outside the barn made for memorable gatherings, especially on a chilly evening, and with the fun of preparing S’more’s for the guests over the fire. The scenery is gorgeous, particularly the top-of-the-hill ceremony spot surrounded by New Hampshire hills and mountains. The gorgeous view and natural setting added much to the wedding experience. The short walk up the hill to the ceremony hilltop was easy, and elderly guests were driven up without any issue. The barn and farm have professional kitchens so that preparing and serving a meal for 130 people went off without any issues. There was plenty of parking for guests. There is an AirBnB on-site where we stayed and got ready. It was comfortable and great for the hair/make-up preparations before the ceremony. Sarah made her entire facility available to us for the entire weekend—this made things highly convenient and relaxing. For meals, they helped us arrange for a beautiful tent to be set up right outside the barn, so we could use the barn for dancing. The table set-up was gorgeous, which contributed to a memorable, emotionally touching event. Planning: Sarah is a total professional, with the taste and experience to make our event as perfect as we had hoped for. Interacting with Sarah was a pleasure. She is kind, creative, and deeply cares about our hopes for the day and making them come to fruition. She made terrific suggestions on logistics and food, and was creative and responsive in iterating until we finalized the menus. She specializes in farm-to-table food, with local farmers, and this made everything healthy and delicious. She assisted us with vendors (e.g., flowers, tent, wedding planner, bartender, toilets) who provided excellent services. Sarah has a staff of efficient, trusted people who know just what to do, while at the same time exuding warmth and friendship while working. Whatever tension might be present on a wedding day, these workers diffused it and made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. This is huge and played a big role in the perfection of our wedding weekend. Day-of Excellence: All of the above contributed to a wedding weekend that seemed effortless for us and our guests, and of course we saw and understood the tremendous amount of teamwork, talent, and effort went on behind the scenes. We felt relaxed, as did our parents and guests. We all enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere and the meaningful, beautiful gathering, ceremony, and celebration. Bottom Line: Mayfair Farm and Sarah provide a specialized offering unlike any other, and at a reasonable price. If you want a wedding in a rural setting, with farm-to-table food prepared to perfection, and a flawless, relaxed ‘vibe’ to the day, look no further. The bonus is that we felt cared for, we saw our vision come to life under Sarah’s supervision, and we saw Sarah’s employees and vendors enthusiastically and efficiently make everything happen perfectly. We had our wedding at the Colonial Hotel in July, and it was truly the best experience from start to finish! The staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. With the pagoda outside for the ceremony and the amazing outdoor tent for the reception. We had family traveling who got the pleasure of staying at the hotel, as did me and my Husband, and everything was clean and comfortable. Access to the pool and hot tub, and their amazing restaurant and bar. The day of the wedding I was well taken care of, and didn’t have to worry about a single thing, everything was decorated and prepared perfectly, they took my visions and made them come to life! Both me and my husband got many updates on the day of the wedding, making sure we knew where we needed to be and what would be happening next, which helped tremendously! We couldn’t be anymore pleased, and we will forever recommend the Colonial Hotel!

My wedding was at Stonebridge on 9/16/2023 and we had the time of our lives. Jason and his team really made sure that myself and my husband were taken care of the whole day. Hurricane Lee came first thing in the morning but that didn't stop us. After clearing around 1, Jason and the team set up everything outside for a beautiful outdoor windy ceremony. For pictures, there team knew exactly were to take us around the property for the best photo shots. The food was excellent and they were very accommodating to our guests who had allergies.

When we first moved to Brattleboro back in 2023, the Retreat Farm was one of the first places we visited. Not only is the mission of nonprofit phenomenal, the organization hosts events that bring community together and folks closer to nature. When deciding on our wedding venue a year later, the Retreat Farm was one of our top choices. At the time, the North Barn was being renovated and had not yet been finished, but even then we saw the vision. I also think it is important to mention, as a queer couple, we received nothing but respect throughout the entire process. From the beginning, everyone we worked with from signing the contracts to planning the actual wedding, we received enthusiasm for our less than traditional wedding (Gothic Victorian/Halloween themed). Retreat Farm from the beginning was exceptional! I cannot reiterate enough how kind everyone was to work with. Working with Samantha as the venue coordinator was a breeze. She was accommodating, fun, and well organized. She answered every question, no matter how little. Planning a wedding is no easy task, but every step of the way, Samantha and the Retreat Farm staff were there. Franklin and the staff day of were also all so accommodating and there to help address any last minute hiccup! Everyone was also so fun and inviting to all of our guests dressed up in their costumes. We had an outdoor ceremony on Outlook Meadow and I know the work that would've gone into hauling the arbor, chairs, and sound system up that hill, but they did what they could to make our day PERFECT! We had our reception in the North Barn and even with spending time in the space before, I could not have imagined how perfect it was with all of our decor! The wood beams, tables, and lights balanced perfectly with our elegant Victorian and silly Halloween decor! No matter what style wedding you're looking for, the Retreat Farm will help you make it happen in the most beautiful spaces! If I could give more than five stars, I would!

My wife & I had the privilege to get married surrounded by our friends & family at the beautiful Montague Retreat Center in June of 2024. There’s a seemingly endless list of what drew us to MRC, but some key features to highlight: - Incredibly beautiful indoor & outdoor spaces - Comfortable, spacious, and accessible on-site lodging options - Flexible weekend buyout, enabling us to bring all of our ideas to life without much restriction or hurdles - Wheelhouse Catering: some of the best wedding food we’ve ever tasted in our lives - All of Montague staff, especially Jason Jason deserves his own dedicated review, but from the planning stages all the way through until the end of our weekend, Jason made himself available and ready to help. Jason referred several our vendors that made our day go off without a hitch, all of whom brought creative and personal touches that made our day so special. He consistently went above and beyond day of as well, from catching decorations that needed to be put out, to being hands-on assisting guests that needed extra help, and facilitating vendors to ensure everything was in its right place. His knowledge and general presence brought a calming energy that really helped us feel at home at MRC. For our wedding weekend (170 guests), we really took advantage of all we could at MRC. We observed first hand and heard from guests after our wedding that they felt they had plenty of space to enjoy themselves comfortably through the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. With the full weekend rented, we used every square inch that the venue offered: - Friday: Portable Brick Oven Pizza in front of the Great Hall - Saturday AM: family provided breakfast buffet near the dining tent - Ceremony: Outdoor up on the ceremony ring - Cocktail Hour: Custom Poetry and plenty of activities all around the barn - Reception: Live band with stage lighting & sound; DJ later in the evening - Saturday Night: Late night fire pit & snacks for the wedding party - Sunday AM: Bagel sandwiches from Tandem Bagel in the lower level of the barn We can’t stress enough how perfect our weekend was at MRC. Montague Retreat Center will always hold a special place in our hearts, as it left a lasting impact on not only us, but our friends and family as well. At the end of our wedding weekend, many of our family members suggested that we rent out the space for a night every few years for a recurring big family bash. We may have to do just that!

He coordinated with all of the vendors, made sure everyone understood the timeline and took care of all of the little details to ensure everything went smoothly. Him and his staff exceeded my expectations in creating the vision I had for our big day - it was absolutely stunning! My vision was a rustic & elegant style wedding - and they blew that out of the water, I received so many compliments on how beautifully everything was set up for our wedding! The staff were also extremely friendly and on the ball with everything, I am beyond impressed with the Westbrook Inn and their staff. The value that you get with the tent, bar, staff, chairs/tables, set up/break down, coordination and so much more is extremely rare to find around here. They recently hosted a micro wedding reception for my brother and also did a fantastic job. Needless to say, I will continue to use The Westbrook Inn for all our future special events - 10/10 would recommend!

Tonight I was blown away! I have been a full time wedding DJ for 18 years. My company, Cape Tunes, hosts about 250 weddings every season. I personally DJ about 85 weddings a season. There’s a new venue in Derry, NH called Hyla Brook Estate that opened in October 2024. Sadly, many venues treat vendors trash. Hyla Brook Estate was the complete opposite of what a vendor expects. I won’t mention how amazingly beautiful the venue is, I’m sure plenty of couples will review this aspect. I have to speak from a vendors point of view. A few days prior to the wedding, I got the “I’m your coordinator email, here are our policies”. I walked into the venue to clarify where to unload and was told “whatever works for you”. You mean I don’t have to trek through a kitchen then park a mile away?!?! There were two coordinators named Ashley who were extremely nice. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Kim. Wow, amazing business person with an awesome vision! Some highlights … * Easy load in * Dedicated WiFi for DJs only! * No vendor chicken!!! * Vendors can eat when they want! * Apps and dessert? YUP! They won’t chop your hand off like other venues! SIT DOWN FOR THIS ONE … There is a vendor lounge! With a stocked fridge and snacks!!! I felt compelled to post this for all vendors lucky enough to work at this new property. A note to couples … happy vendors make your day rock a little more

From beginning to end, our experience at Farm Road Estate was absolute perfection. Even the planning process was enjoyable thanks to Kelly and her incredible team, who went above and beyond every step of the way. From setting up Guitar Hero in the speakeasy for our welcome party, to making sure our grandmas walked down the aisle smoothly, to making sure we were always fed during every little gap of the day—the attention to detail and genuine care were unmatched. The venue itself is breathtaking, and every guest couldn’t stop raving about how comfortable the rooms and bedding were. And the food… wow. I had friends telling me they literally licked their plates (politely, of course). Everything was phenomenal. It truly felt like we had all our loved ones together for the most beautiful sleepaway weekend, eating, drinking, laughing, and celebrating. We wish we could go back and relive it all over again. Hearing people talk about our wedding gives us the chance to do just that, and it fills our hearts every single time. To Kelly, Mike (the Guitar Hero master), Lauren, Giselle, Chef Joe, Theresa, Steven, Meg, and every single staff member who worked tirelessly to make our weekend so special. Today is our three month wedding anniversary and we are still talking about how perfect our wedding was, with a huge part of that due to The Hermitage Inn. The team at The Hermitage made the entire process easy, calming and fun and made the weekend lovely, memorable and perfect. Gina was with us from moment one and was a constant professional who was warm, non-judgemental and available whenever needed. She made sure the day of went on without a hitch and took care of all the big and small details, making sure we didn’t need to worry about anything. I was very specific about wanting to start hair and make up later in the day and Gina adjusted the schedule and made sure I had my morning to myself. During the weekend Mercer, Jan, Sarah, Katia and so many others, along with Gina, made it the best weekend with all of our guests saying the same thing. From the rehearsal dinner, breakfasts in the morning, bar service and, of course, the big event, it was all excellent, personal and thoughtful. Location and venue wise The Hermitage was again, perfect. The property and inn are beautiful, luxurious and luscious. It was incredible to have the entire inn to ourselves with our closest family and friends. The carriage house was a perfect home base to not only get ready in but to have drinks at and to have a little welcome event for just those staying at the inn on Thursday night. I have pictures of my parents and aunts and uncles sitting on the porch telling stories which I will cherish forever. The grounds were beautiful for the wedding and even though the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were at the same venue- each part of the weekend felt unique and intentional as the venue offers so many options. Its been fun to look at the other weddings that have happened since ours on Instagram because not one of them have looked similar. That must be the magic of The Hermitage Inn and Gina, as they truly allow you to bring your own wedding to life. Can’t wait to come back for a weekend and reminisce. My aunts and parents also fell in love with the venue and are planning a trip up the winter.

Butternut Farm Golf Club was an absolutely gorgeous venue, with exceptional service, delicious food, reasonable pricing, and a beautiful setting. Kerri was incredible throughout the whole process, seamlessly making sure the whole day went perfectly— she even made sure I got a safety pin when my dress strap broke! Everyone from Hope, the business manager, to the waitstaff and the other vendors in the package (highly recommend the package with the photography and baker!) was extremely professional. The guests were raving about the food, and the large dance floor and huge ballroom (not to mention the reasonable pricing) made my 150 guests feel comfortable and excited. Bonus points for the balcony, where the non-dancers enjoyed great conversations overlooking the golf course pond. And what a gorgeous area in apple orchard country!! Could not have had a more perfect day. Thank you so much to everyone at Butternut for making our reception an absolute blast!!!

The Inn on Boltwood was the perfect venue for our wedding. Their communication style was personalized, clear, and professional from start to finish. The quality of their work and value was absolutely stunning - this is truly an all-inclusive space. We were able to utilize the outdoor lawn (where we set up cornhole during the reception), the greenhouse for our rehearsal dinner, the cozy fireplaces, and so much more. Bill and Catherine were absolutely fantastic, ensuring everything went exactly as we had hoped and more. We would absolutely recommend this venue, especially in the beautiful fall season!
