We could not have been happier with how our wedding day turned out, and how seamless and stress-free the planning process was. Emily, CL's events coordinator, is just awesome. She's communicative, flexible, and makes the entire process as easy as possible. We did a tasting prior to our wedding and we were blown away by how good the food was; people at and after our wedding also told us that they were not expecting such good food at a brewery. I would absolutely, 10000% recommend having your wedding at Captain Lawrence Brewery!

Venue considerations

I recently hosted a 50-person event at Industrial Arts and it delivered on the two most important fronts: totally easy and totally fun. The space is huge. There’s a ton of furniture options so we were able to configure the room exactly how we wanted. We had high tops and picnic tables for larger groups hangs and couches for guests that wanted a little space. It was so satisfying to see my guests have a great time - particularly because I did so little to make it happen. Heather and Nina couldn’t have made things lower maintenance. We planned the entire event over a five minute phone call and a couple of emails. You can tell they wanted to us to have a great time - they were flexible, responsive and proactive. They allowed us to bring in our own DJ and our own catering. The beer is great, the view is incredible and there’s plenty of parking. Plus, you’re 3 minutes from Main Street, so you can stumble to other bars, restaurants and hotels. A, Five Stars, First Rate… you get the idea.

Blooming Hill Farm was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding day. The farm was absolutely breathtaking, with the venue's natural beauty and lush landscaping providing the perfect backdrop for our special celebration. From the moment we first visited Biagio's and The Terrace, we were both so impressed by the reception room as well as Athena, who happened to show us around the property. Athena also filled us in on all the details regarding a wedding there. She was nothing but attentive, responsive, and easy-to-work-with during the entire process. The venue itself exceeded our expectations - the huge dance floor, 2 full bars inside the main ballroom and the rooftop cocktail hour were all key in bringing the party together! The food is top notch, which was our absolute number 1 priority. Everything went so smoothly, from scheduling our first visit, to picking up the leftover cake and other items we left behind after the wedding. You can tell this is a family-run business, as each and every person we interacted with was so helpful and genuine. They clearly take a lot of pride in making couples' wedding days truly special. Do yourself a favor and go book a visit to see Biagio's!

Still riding the high from our wedding weekend! We were absolutely floored by all the work Jen and Ally and the whole Stagecoach team did to make our wedding weekend spectacular! They have several different packages that you can choose from which allowed us to find something that truly worked for us. We ended up having around 115 guests for the wedding and the space was just perfect! We had been to the Inn for dinner before and we knew we wanted to make food a priority. Chef Jerrel hit it out of the park for the rehearsal dinner, the cocktail hour/reception, and the brunch the next morning! Also because they have rooms upstairs, we were able to have our closest family stay and not have to worry about any travel! We couldn't recommend them enough!

My (now) wife and I enjoy the food at Alan's Falafel (Chester, NY) so much that when it came time to select a caterer we were very happy Alan's was available and worked with us on what we were looking for. We wanted to share the food we love and enjoy with our family and friends. We have been to so many weddings where the food was just underwhelming. Alan's did not disappoint. We still receive so many comments on how much the food was enjoyed and the People at Alan's worked very hard to make sure our day went smooth and we were left satisfied. Cannot recommend them enough.

From the moment we saw the back rooms at Arte Cafe, we knew it would be the perfect venue for our wedding. The staff were incredibly open to our wishes and flexible in working with us to make our vision a reality. The skylight and garden rooms looked absolutely beautiful, with the natural light and greenery creating a magical, airy atmosphere, and hanging lights and chandeliers brought elegance once the sun set. The cocktails, passed appetizers, and dinner buffet were all delicious, and the staff - from the servers and bartenders to the manager - were extremely attentive and prompt. Alexis, the venue coordinator, was very helpful in managing communications with the restaurant and coordinating the kitchen. She could be a bit hard to get in touch with at times and was not at the venue the day-of the wedding, but the management staff took over and the event got set up the way we wanted (although this took some prompting / follow up from us) and flowed seamlessly. We ended up with exactly the wedding we had hoped for. We highly recommend Arte Cafe for any couple looking for a stunning, flexible venue that will truly make your special day feel like a dream come true. You might have to put a bit more of your own time into making sure you get what you asked for, but if you are willing to put in some of the extra effort it is well worth it.

This past August, my daughter Sheraden chose to get married in the vibrant city of New York. For us, it was a destination wedding, as we live just outside another great city, Toronto, Canada. After visiting several venues, we decided on Bryant Park Grill—a special place for our family, as it was a memorable stop during our first trip to NYC when Sheraden was just 11 years old. Clearly, the city left a lasting impression, as it has become a favorite destination for her over the years. Planning a wedding from a distance is no small feat, especially for us, as we have a background in event decorating and are typically very hands-on. From our very first meeting with Kristi Ohlin, the Catering Sales Manager, we knew we were in good hands. The team at Bryant Park Grill has an incredible depth of experience in hosting events, which became evident throughout the entire process. To say they are experienced is an understatement. Kristi and her team kept us on track from start to finish and recommended outstanding vendors, many of whom we chose to work with. While we brought our own creative touches—including some sizable props—we entrusted the team at Bryant Park Grill to execute our vision seamlessly. Coordinating wedding décor and logistics in a bustling city like New York is no easy task, but Kristi and her colleague, Diane Giovannone, went above and beyond to ensure everything came together perfectly. Their ability to understand and bring our ideas to life, even without our direct involvement on the day, was nothing short of extraordinary. The result? A wedding that exceeded our expectations in every way. The venue’s attention to detail, professionalism, and dedication to creating a flawless experience made for a truly magical day. Bryant Park Grill is a 5-star, white-glove service establishment that operates like a well-oiled machine. And the food—oh, the food! It was exceptional, surpassing our high expectations and delighting all of our guests. We cannot thank Kristi, Diane, and the entire Bryant Park Grill team enough for making our daughter’s wedding the most epic and memorable event of our lives. Many of our family and friends remarked that it was one of the best weddings they had ever attended. With heartfelt appreciation and love, Tanja & Dean Link, Angie & Beni Colalillo, and the Bride & Groom, Sheraden & Alessio

My husband Dustin held our reception at Albert's Bar in April. My goodness I cannot begin to say enough about how picture perfect this venue is! Not only is the space itself beautiful and unbeatable, the team behind Albert's Bar are among the nicest and most helpful I've ever worked with. Their events lead Jenn was with us every step of the way, the manager Pete made us feel so seen & heard, and a massive thank you also to Abby for executing every detail for us on the day of the big event! The bar tenders and wait staff completed enamored my family & friends (and how kind were they to humor us in our excessive enthusiasm!) There are so many areas of our experience to rave about... Quite honestly, my family and friends are *still* waxing poetic about their big night out in midtown. This venue absolutely elevated the experience of everyone who attended. We had several high profile attendees from out of town who mentioned more than once that they were "completely blown away by Albert's". My guests who were local were equally impressed. This venue made us look as cool as we think we are ;) Run, don't walk, to secure your wedding space with Albert's. It's the most hidden gem of an option in New York that exists in today's landscape, I can assure you of that. 0% chance you won't have the best day & night of your life if you take this route, as we did! 3 Kate & Dustin

The team was a well oiled machine, They handled every transition and any small hiccup with precision and grace. The personal attention given to the couple throughout the reception was greatly appreciated. The attention to detail day of was a wonderful contrast to their more hands-off approach to the pre-planning. The front desk staff at the hotel provided exceptional service from handling questions about the room block to tracking down and setting up a pack and play for the littlest guest. Where to even begin! First off, my wife and I had a fairly large wedding for NYC, roughly 200 people, so when we started to look at venues, we were so nervous about what we would find. Rule of Thids was actually the first venue we saw, and we were blown away by the space. If you’re renting out the full venue, you get access to the entire restaurant, plus the event space, as well as the outdoor area. It makes the flow of the wedding so nice, so everyone wasn’t crammed into one space as they were trying to flip it for the ceremony, dinner, and dancing. We were also able to rent out the photo studio attached to the sake shop to get ready in, so we were on-site all day, which was AMAZING. We could easily discuss things with our day-of coordinator, florist, etc., and the space was so large and had impeccable light (our makeup artist and hair stylist were super happy with it!). We chose to use the venue coordinator, Julie, as our day of coordinator, and we cannot say enough good things about her. She was incredibly responsive, super organized, and comes from the wedding industry, so she brought up things that we didn’t even think to consider for the day of that were so helpful. Beyond that, she was so pleasant to work with and just had an amazing, chill vibe that everyone wants from their coordinator on the wedding day. It was also amazing that she works at the venue, so she knew all the ins and outs of the space and could easily coordinate with our other vendors. She helped ensure the bridal party was in the right places at the right time, moved people from room to room when needed, and helped us stay on track with the flow of the wedding, which was perfect and so seamless. She and the ROT team set up the entire space exactly as we envisioned, and everything looked beautiful! The venue is honestly perfect for a wedding. We were able to use private dining spaces in the venue for a photobooth and coat closet, plenty of bathrooms (not something you think about until you go to a wedding with too few!), an amazing outdoor space for guests to cool down/get away from the noise, a huge dance floor area, spacious dining room, and so many bars for our guests to go to. The staff were all amazing, endlessly refilling drinks and food, and everyone was incredibly nice. Even after all of the amazing things above, the best part about Rule of Thirds is the food. From the cocktail hour to the dessert, this food is amazing and well beyond typical wedding standards. We had so many guests tell us how good everything was, and we were told this was the first wedding at the venue where every single canape and raw bar item was eaten, so our guests were very happy! (if you can, splurge on the raw bar because it was so good!!) After the ceremony, they set up a spot for us to sample all the canapes and raw bar items, which we were super thankful for since we would never have eaten anything otherwise. We also had a very specific request for a mazeman noodle dish we had eaten when we toured the space a year prior, and the chef and team made it happen for us, which was AMAZING and so incredibly delicious. If you’re looking for a wedding venue and considering Rule of Thirds, DO IT! We wish we could relive the day all over again because it was so amazing, and we will forever be hoping someone else we know gets married here so we can experience something similar again.

This venue space features a unique, large and open-spaced floor plan. Houston Hall has the ability to accommodate up to 225 guests comfortably when seated. In addition, we have a spacious, private dressing room that overlooks the hall. This is where you can get ready before your walk down the aisle. Guests will be able to take in the warm, vintage environment of Houston Hall as they walk around the naturally lit, open space.

  • Provides event staff

Venue considerations

  • Best for events with big guest lists

We held our wedding at Houston Hall in October 2023. From first booking, the Houston hall event team Christon & Michelle were involved every step of the way, and had an organized process of keeping us informed. The ones that stick out were menu flexibility and options and the use of an online platform that kept all of our documentation, communication, and billing in one place. When it came to our big day, we and our guests were so pleased with Houston Hall. The food was excellent. Our guests really enjoyed the family style servings, and raved about how delicious the food was. Food came out timely, and Houston was very organized in ensuring all our guest with dietary restrictions were accommodated. Above all, the service was amazing. Both us and our guests were taken care of by friendly and efficient waitstaff and bartenders. This is something our guests still talk about. Also important to note was that our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all in the same location. The staff turned the location seamlessly during our cocktail hour without our guests being interrupted or even noticing. The venue itself was everything we hoped it would be. To enhance our guests experience, we opted to rent chairs (in place of benches) and edison lights. This process was seamless, as Houston had a recommended vendor who they work with frequently to deliver and install. Houston was also very accommodating to help us deliver and store items before the wedding (for example, our table decor, rented florals and cake). By choosing Houston Hall, we had an amazing, memorable, and low stress wedding day. We would highly recommend without hesitation for your wedding, or any other big event.

Consider us your destination for your next event. We cater to all occasions and are capable of creating specific menus designed for all sensibilities. You are welcome to have your ceremony and reception here at Radegast!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Space for a large guest list
  • Provides a dedicated team on-site

Venue considerations

  • Does not allow pets
  • No on-premises lodging options
  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
My wife and I were determined to have our wedding in New York City and researched a bunch of venues in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Radegast was the last place that we visited, and we put our deposit down the day after our walk through and ended the search. Sean managed the booking for us, and we felt his attention and thoroughness immediately. This was in stark contrast to the apathy that we felt at other places; almost like we needed to work for any enthusiasm from the venue about booking with them. We felt “wined and dined” by Sean and super confident that he would take the event as seriously as we were. We ended up booking The Bier House space with the buffet food option. Our intuition was right, Radegast was incredible! Not only were they the most affordable option that we could find in the city for our number of guests, but the space was so beautiful that we didn’t have to spend money on any additional decor. The food was delicious, the staff was attentive and friendly, and all of our guests were really impressed. Sean and the staff at Radegast “bent over backwards” (a quote from our wedding planner) to make sure that our vision for the day matched reality. They helped solve any problem that came along, and did so with a smile. They were as accommodating on the day of the event as they were in the months leading up to it. The price was exactly what we were quoted, there were not any unexpected add-ons or fees. The event was an absolute blast and the venue had a lot to do with it. Also the location is incredible. Williamsburg is perfect for everyone; your NYC friends are a subway ride away, your weird conservative relatives from Long Island can park in the parking garage literally across the street and run home right after the event, and anyone unfamiliar with the city will leave the event loving how pretty Brooklyn is. This is absolutely the best value for a wedding venue in New York City and the positive vibes are through the roof!
