“Working with Sweety Dream was such a smooth experience from start to finish. The team responded quickly to our questions and always made us feel confident about our choices, which honestly took a lot of stress out of the planning process. On the day of our wedding, they delivered exactly what we envisioned. Our sweetheart table looked elegant and romantic, and the arch absolutely took our breath away with the roses and fabric design we'd picked out. Their work was thoughtful and tasteful without being over the top, which is exactly what we wanted. Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (110 reviews)
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Cortland, IL

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

The Faux Bouquets
Rating: 5.0 (44 reviews)
  • Serves Cortland, IL

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
“Holy moly!! Working with Brittany at The Faux Bouquets was a breeze, and our flowers looked remarkable -- and real! Nobody even believed me that the flowers were silk because they looked so legit. I would highly recommend her for any future events. And the best part is that we were able to repurpose the flowers seamlessly from ceremony to reception!”

🌹 WE ARE NOT FRESH FLOWER FLORISTS. WE WORK WITH WOOD & FAUX FLOWERS. Besides designing for you, I also offer DIY Wood Flower Experiences to create your wedding florals alongside me in person or virtually and 1:1 sessions to help DIY brides learn to do it themselves.

Awarded Best of Zola
“Jen was AMAZING to work with! When it came to flowers for my wedding, I had NO IDEA what I wanted. She was very patient with me and helped talk me through my vision. She gave me flowers to pick from, talked about how big I wanted my bouquet and how much greenery I wanted, and then when I could find colors I liked in swatches, she color-matched the colors I wanted from an inspo pic I found online! She was very professional and patient with me, even when my plans changed or I needed to add to my order.  I am not the best at putting together a bouquet. I am also someone who likes control, especially when it came to planning my wedding. I was thankful that I was able to give Jen the reins, tell her what I wanted, and watch her make my dreams come true. When I first saw my flowers, I was speechless. She truly did make my floral dreams come true, and now I get to keep my bouquet for the rest of my life! A wooden flower bouquet from Jen is the way to go!”

“We first met Exquisite Events & Floral Design and Bukky Garcia a year before our wedding at the Bridal Expo in Itasca, IL. Bukky’s booth immediately caught our attention—not just because of its elegant setup, but also because of the warmth and professionalism she exuded. From the moment we began speaking with her, it was clear she had a deep passion for what she does, paired with a level of expertise that made us feel instantly at ease. One of the first things that drew us to Bukky was her cultured approach and understanding. As fellow Nigerians, we bonded over our shared background, and this connection was pivotal for us. My wife and I had always envisioned a beautiful Nigerian-American wedding, but we weren’t quite sure how to blend the two cultures seamlessly. Being the first in our immediate families to host a formal wedding, we felt a bit overwhelmed with incorporating Nigerian traditions and customs into the day. Bukky, however, understood our vision right away and reassured us that she would help us create something truly special. While we had already started gathering a few essentials for the big day, Bukky and Exquisite Events & Floral Design stepped in and took it to a whole new level. From coordinating the logistics to fine-tuning every detail, Bukky handled it all with remarkable efficiency. She didn’t just come on board as a wedding planner and designer—she became the guiding force that brought our dream wedding to life. As a groom, I was completely blown away by her attention to detail, impeccable organization, and the way she communicated every step of the process. It wasn’t just about decorations or logistics; it was about her ability to take our ideas and elevate them beyond what we ever thought possible. Bukky shattered every expectation we had, turning our vision into something truly magical. Her expertise and dedication ensured that nothing was overlooked, and her cadence and poise throughout the planning process were second to none. The day of the wedding was nothing short of breathtaking. Bukky and her team transformed our venue in a way that left us and our guests speechless. Even the venue staff remarked that they had never seen their space look the way it did that day. It was as though she had taken a blank canvas and painted the most beautiful fairytale scene. Every arrangement, every detail, every touch was executed to perfection. But beyond her incredible work, Bukky gave us something even more meaningful—family. What started as a professional relationship quickly grew into something much deeper. She genuinely cared about us, not just as clients but as individuals. Even now, long after the wedding, we still check in with her from time to time because that bond remains strong. Looking back, we are beyond grateful to have had Bukky and Exquisite Events & Floral Design by our side for one of the most important days of our lives. She didn’t just help us plan a wedding; she created an experience we’ll cherish forever. If you’re looking for someone who can take your vision and make it a reality while surpassing your wildest expectations, look no further than Bukky Garcia. Our wedding was a dream come true, and we owe so much of that to her extraordinary talent and heart.”

“Miriam and her team at Esther's Private Garden were wonderful from start to finish. Her authenticity and just realness and transparency is what sets her apart and something I great appreciated as an over analyzer. For example, I quoted and interviewed 7 different Chicago florists before choosing Ester's Private Garden and I would 100% book her again! From the first beautiful proposal to our continuing conversations, Miriam was able to take my color vision to life. Coming up with a colorful palette that blended summer and fall colors (a September wedding) was no easy feat but Miriam was able to execute so full! I was in awe of my flowers from my bridal bouquet to ceremony stands, and our grand staircase. Out tables were event a gradient of colors and a last add-on of incorporating fruit, she did it and did it perfectly. We got numerous compliments from our florals and many guests begged to take center pieces home. Aside from the quality of her work, she is overall a good person. So friendly, sympathized with the stress of wedding planning, and really just felt like a friend and someone on my team. I am so appreciative of her and can not recommend her enough!”

  • Serves Cortland, IL

Wildly Rooted Floral is a family-owned flower farm and floral design studio serving Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. Founded by farmer-florist Anna Beyer, we create garden-inspired wedding flowers using seasonal blooms grown on our farm whenever possible. From bouquets to ceremony installations, every design is crafted with intention, natural movement, and a romantic touch. We take on a limited number of weddings each year, allowing us to provide a personalized experience and flowers that are as meaningful as they are beautiful.

“Working with Wildly Rooted Floral was such a joy from start to finish. Anne listened to what I wanted and answered every question I had right away, making the whole process feel easy and stress-free. When I got my bridal bouquet for the first time on my wedding day, my jaw DROPPED. It was everything I'd imagined and more!! The budvase centerpieces came in vases that matched my style perfectly, and she delivered them and helped set everything up, which meant so much to us. I'm thrilled to support a local business that not only stayed within our budget but went above and beyond with the florals. Wildly Rooted Floral didn't just meet our expectations - they exceeded them.”
