I shifted from corporate shootings to families and weddings because it gave me this warm fuzzy feeling when I edited my couples and families photos. Don’t be afraid to reach out to me and ask about my photography style, my editing style, or my favorite restaurant! I highly recommend scheduling a free consulting session!

“Grace and was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding! Grace was very thorough and communicated with everyone from venue staff to the DJ to choreograph and capture everything. I fell in love with Grace's whimsical and wispy style of photography - she made sure to include everyone in the shots. Grace was punctual and went straight to capturing our final moments of getting ready, and she gave us time to socialize and enjoy our guests. I loved her creativity and willingness to take unique shots. I would definitely recommend her for any couple's day!”

Hi, it’s Sade! The whole reason I’m a photographer is for the ability to take people on adventures and create experiences you will actually remember—not just poses you performed. Let’s not be fooled: being behind the camera can be… uncomfortable. (Trust me, I just got married myself, so I KNOW that 'what do I do with my hands?' panic!). That’s why it will be all about making your day feel spontaneous and tailoring every second to fit exactly who you two are.

“Sadie was a 10/10 find. She does amazing work, her editing is beautiful and soft, she makes you feel comfortable while taking the pictures, helps pose us, she even helped us find where we took our engagements. I was feeling really overwhelmed with where to go and she gave us some options which made it much easier to choose. Sadie is quick to respond, and her turn around time is great! I’m so happy we used her and would highly recommend her to a friend (or a stranger!)”

Hello, I’m Megan! Legacy preserver, fine art creator, wedding photographer...and completely-obsessed dog mom. (Send me an email with a picture of your fur baby attached and see how fast I respond!) Of all the things I could share about My Sun and Stars and my work as a wedding photographer, here’s the first thing I want you to know: I don’t believe in imposing a mood onto your memories. Trendy edits, filters, and lighting choices don't add anything to the meaningful moments you share on your wedding day. In fact, they can actually detract from your remembrance of them.

Awarded Best of Zola
“Working with Megan and her husband for our engagement session was such a lovely experience. It was our first time being professionally photographed ever and we were expecting to feel super awkward. But it turned out to be a perfectly tolerable and even enjoyable few hours. We were given enough instruction to help some poses look better, but not so much that we couldn’t feel comfortable to be ourselves or settle into what felt natural — especially since most of the session was in our home. We were given a few Polaroid sneak pics on the day of that’ll attach. Megan has a great eye for detail and we can’t wait to work together again at our wedding!”

Sage & Iron Creations

I'm Ashley a Cleveland, Ohio portrait photographer specializing in dark and concept driven imagery. With 18+ years of experience, I blend mood, storytelling, and artistic depth while offering a range of editing aesthetics to match each client's vision. I hold a Certificate in Photography from the Hallmark Institute of Photography and am also self taught. When I'm not creating, I'm with my supportive husband and our 2 cats Pumpkin & Goblin. We love traveling, trying new things, and discovering great food. My passion for photography began in childhood, inspired by my mother's photos and 90s magazine ads.

Awarded Best of Zola
“The Important Points about Sage & Iron You Should Not Skip: -Budget friendly -Super flexible -Empathetic and understanding -Professional family wrangler -Prompt communication & transparency -Open to ideas if you've got 'em, but if not that's totally fine too -Easily the most "human" professional photographer I've ever had the pleasure of working with Sage & Iron (we only worked with Ashley) is someone I felt super comfortable with right away--which says a lot because I'm usually so untrusting of most people I hire for things. My husband and I were hunting for a wedding photographer that could provide spooky/moody photos of us, but also some traditional classics too. All with the very tight constraints of funding our small wedding ourselves, we thought we'd never find what we were looking for. *Enter: Sage & Iron* We booked with S&I right away, and while I originally had plans with a friend to take our engagement photos, that fell through, and S&I(Ashley) was SO understanding when I asked about booking an engagement session even though it wasn't originally in our plans. We scheduled for dates in the fall, but it's Ohio, so there was of course rain.. then wind.. so our spooky moody engagement shoot ultimately was pushed to early spring in a cemetery. You would NEVER know that we didn't take these photos in the late-fall! Mission: Accomplished I am chronically forgetful, but Ashley always came through with reminders about payment dates, and was always incredibly flexible with me when I said I'd text her soon and "soon" became days. A Saint of Patience! Not to mention, all of our wedding planning (Read: Me stressing out) was happening while Ashley was experiencing some heavy life-things of her own, but she never once made me feel like anything less than a priority. Truly dedicated to her clients and making sure they feel heard and cared for. Wedding: It was beautiful weather all week, but naturally, bonkers wind and rain the entire day of our wedding. Unfortunately, and at no fault of S&I, our venue that already was lacking in the "indoor photo locations department" decided to book a 1000 guest event at the last minute the same day of our wedding... So are many of our photos in a stairwell not designed for photos? Yes. Did Ashley do her damndest to get interesting photos of the bridal party despite the lack of indoor locations or ideal lighting conditions? I believe so! She was also a champion of wrangling us, keeping the family under control during photo time, delegating whose turn it was to get photos with the bride and groom next, it was like watching a foreman in a work zone. And I NEEDED someone to do that for me because I was, well, a bride. In summary: S&I (Ashley) is a joy and a pleasure to work with, even when I forget to download my own wedding photos before they came down from the website... She still has them stored safely for me to be able to download them. An angel. If you're looking for a photographer who is real with you, keeps you updated, has transparent pricing and won't ever try to bait-and-switch you, cares about you as a human first and foremost, knows how to flex some genuinely cool moody artistic shots but still nails the classics, you've found your vendor!”

Howdy. My name is Caiti and I am a wedding photographer based out of Moses Lake, WA. I am a misplaced Texan, so I photograph weddings in WA to OR, ID, and TX. I have been photographing since I was 15 with a love for art and documenting moments instead of posing them. I studied photography all the way through college and grew up wanting to be a National Geographic photograher. I still dream, but I have picked up my camera in every season of life. I have photographed war in the Army, sports in college, to now couples that want to feel something when they look at their photos.

“Finding Caiti to help capture our wedding portraits was such a God-send From our first conversation, she was easy to work with and genuinely invested in our vision—she even scouted our venue and tracked sunset times beforehand to nail the perfect lighting and scenery. We built a shot list together on Pinterest and she stuck to it flawlessly, which kept everything on schedule and made sure we got every photo we wanted. On the day of, Caiti was professional and personable, giving us great direction and making us feel totally comfortable in front of the camera. Her eye for lighting and poses is seriously impressive, and the final photos are editorial and heartfelt. We're already planning to have her capture our future milestones!”

“As both a bride and a former wedding coordinator, I can’t recommend Kaytlyn enough! From the very beginning, she was a dream to work with — professional, responsive, and so easygoing. We first worked with her for our engagement session, and the results were absolutely stunning — she captured us so naturally and beautifully that we knew instantly she was the perfect choice for our wedding. On a personal note, I also booked a boudoir session with her as a surprise for my husband on our wedding day. She made me feel completely comfortable in a very vulnerable setting, and within minutes I was totally at ease. The results were elegant, empowering, and something I will treasure forever. On the wedding day itself, she blended seamlessly into the flow of events, capturing everything without ever feeling intrusive. Having worked with many photographers in my coordinator role, I can say her professionalism and ability to connect with her clients is truly exceptional. She has that rare combination of talent, warmth, and efficiency that every bride dreams of in a wedding vendor. If you’re a bride looking for a photographer who will make you feel comfortable, capture your day beautifully, and handle everything with professionalism, look no further — Kaytlyn is the one!”

Hi! I'm Christin, a destination wedding photographer based in Chattanooga, TN. Specializing in timeless and artful imagery, my expertise goes beyond just taking photos; it's about crafting a visual story that reflects the joy, love, and unique spirit of your celebration.

“Working with Christin at Christin Sofka Photography was one of the absolute highlights of our wedding journey. From our very first inquiry to the days following our wedding, Christin has been nothing short of phenomenal—responsive, professional, fun, and such a warm presence throughout. We initially found her because of her stunning photography style, but it was her incredible personality that sealed the deal. From our first call, she genuinely wanted to get to know us—our story, our vibe, our vision—and it showed in everything she did. Before we even officially hired her, Christin was helping us find a venue that aligned with our dream, connecting us with other amazing vendors, and offering support in ways far beyond the role of a photographer. She was in it with us every step of the way. I’m usually awkward in front of a camera, but somehow Christin made it feel effortless and fun. She created an environment where we could just be ourselves—and that joy, love, and personality came through in every photo. Our pictures shine with who we are. Every idea we had, she embraced and brought to life in ways that exceeded our expectations. She was just as excited as we were the entire time—and honestly, I can’t imagine our day without her. Christin is not just a photographer—she’s a true artist, a cheerleader, and a calming, creative force you’ll be so lucky to have by your side. If you’re considering hiring her: do it. You’ll be singing her praises too.”

A Charleston Wedding Photographer with a fierce love for storytelling, fostering memories and capturing those moments that you will want to treasure forever. I get to tell your story. And, I think that’s pretty cool. I love traveling everywhere and anywhere, talking with my hands, buying plants (and attempting to keep them alive), and spending as much time as I can with my loved ones. I have lived in Boston, Paris, and New York City, and am now lucky enough to call Charleston home, while also still traveling the world for my clients. You can usually find me on my back porch in downtown Charleston, right next to my favorite little park.

“tldr: Jessica is amazing and I don’t think you can go wrong with her if this is the style of photos you like I had a lot of difficulty picking a photographer as I’m pretty picky with photos. I knew I wanted something bright and light, with kind of a whimsical or ethereal vibe, but it was really hard finding the style until I came across the “fine art” style. Jessica’s name came up while researching this style and I decided to reach out to her among a few other fine art photographers. I definitely hoped talks would go well with Jessica as the others I contacted ended up either not responding or were wildly out of my budget. Pre-Planning: Jessica was wonderful throughout this process. She promptly responded to my emails and answered questions clearly. I never felt like I was left in the dark for any part of the process. When I sent her the timeline of the ceremony/reception, she quickly came up with a timeline to slot in all the photos to be taken ahead of time at the location (We had access to the venue for a little over an hour prior to the ceremony). She also asked for a list of family photos that we wanted to take. This made it very easy at the wedding as she could call out people’s name to make sure everyone that was supposed to be in the pictures, were in the pictures. Jessica also sent over a list of ideas for detail shots and explained she could do this ahead of time. We didn’t want extra pictures of these and decided against it, however, I still thought it was very thoughtful of her to offer. Wedding Day: I loved her energy at the wedding. She was very calm and felt very competent. She directed my husband and I throughout the pictures, showing us poses etc. During family and wedding party photos, even though we had many bodies to fit in the frame in quite a few pictures, she led us through them with ease and the entire experience was very stress free (or as stress free as can be at a wedding lol). The venue was quite dim at specific locations, but the final results did not reflect that at all. The pictures were bright and did not look like they were taken in the dark at all. (This is a little off topic but I loved the little apron with pockets she wore for her equipment. So cute) I’m not sure when Jessica had the time, but there were pictures around the venue which were so beautiful. I definitely feel like the day was captured through the pictures. Post Wedding: Jessica sent us a sneak peak 2 days after the wedding containing 23 pictures. They turned out great and were beautiful. You can see examples on her website so I won’t elaborate, but they really are that good. The full gallery was sent almost a month after the wedding (minus 2 days) with instructions on purchasing prints or an album attached. The full download contained 650ish files, including the sneak peek pictures. Half of which were black and white, so this matched up pretty perfectly with Jessica’s estimation of the amount of photos when we spoke in the pre-planning stage.”

She is so kind, so patient and really there to be there for you. Her photos are truly amazing. They are timeless, beautiful and she truly captures the heart in everything. We wanted a photographer that would keep everything natural and timeless and that’s exactly what we have. I am not a person who is comfortable in front of the camera , but, I love all the photos Alex took. She is beyond amazing and was able to keep us calm through all the chaos. We can’t say enough great things about Alex. She is amazing.”

I'm a wedding photographer based in Boise, Idaho. Idaho-raised, the outdoors owns my soul and I love spending time with my family doing everything from camping to snowboarding to biking and all the things in between. An explorer at heart, my passion for adventure has taken me worldwide and there is more I can't wait to discover.

“Katy made every step of the way extra special and fun. We are so thrilled with our engagement and wedding photos! She went above and beyond what we would have ever expected from a photographer-- from scouting multiple locations, being prepared for any type of weather, to even helping us come up with planning ideas for our special day! We would highly recommend Katy and we will be using her again for any of our photography needs.”
