Our goal is to provide a million dollar outside wedding site at an affordable price AND treat every bride like she is our own daughter. In the 1950’s thru the mid 1970’s the site was known as Motts Run Landing, which provided access to the Rappahannock River for families, boaters and fishermen by day and a local lovers lane by night. In 1979 Gene & Linda Clore purchased this 2 ½ acre slice of heaven and dedicated their lives to the fun and pleasure of those who wished to enjoy the Rappahannock and Rapidan rivers by canoe. Because of it’s natural beauty a friend of the family, in 1993, requested to have their wedding overlooking the river. Thus was the inception of Riverside Weddings. We have 4,500 square feet of indoor space; this includes our cozy tasting room and adjacent event space. The event space also gives you access to the cupola where you’ll have a 360-degree view of the estate winery. It’s quite spectacular! We also have nearly 3,000 square feet of covered, wrap-around porch. It too, is an equally great space and overlooks various fields. You’ll often see our Grape Vine Patrol Squad (rescue dogs) out walking in the fields. We have eleven in all, and their job is to patrol the vineyards and keep out prey. They’re all friendly, enjoy meeting new people and being petted. In addition, feel free to inquire about using acreage surrounding the tasting and production facility for your private event.
